Hello,
Please how did you get his contact and hospital Appointment. I would love to use his hospital because I have families in California. Also, how much is his maternity package. I would greatly appreciate. Thank you.

Pls lend me ur family for 2months nah... chaii... I don die. He charges $1500, then $200 for d first two appointments, and d hospital charges $2500 for every thing including post partum, pediatrician and all... mehn.. that's d best deal I have ever seen but I just hv no place to stay. I also heard d Dr has and apartment stay for accommodation for $1200/month but by d time I pay 4 3months then I could as well had gone to where I hv relations and pay d same bill for hospital. I am just so sad.

I entered the US legally to deliver my baby. The baby was born in Dec 15.

Regrettably the baby was born with a congenital heart disease called trunsuc artheriosis. She has had two heart surgeries and is currently in the hospital. She has lived all her life in the cardiovascular intensive care unit.

At the moment, the doctors are uncertain of her discharge date. Additionally the baby is billed for more hospital visits and surgeries in the future.

Unfortunately, the health care delivery in Nigeria cannot guarantee my baby a better care. I have confirmed that our hospitals are ill equipped and have poor manpower and skill to manage the baby health. The baby's condition is such that she will require a periodic hospital visit and future replacement of some valve in the heart.

I am skeptical of taking my baby back home. While I am praying for her complete recovery, it is my desire to remain in the US and watch my baby have the best health care in the world.

Please I need advise on how to achieve this.

Thank you.

It is well with your baby dear. The Lord will perfect all that concerns her. Really don't have any advice but in any decision u make, all things will work together for your good.

Waow! So sorry you have to go through this. No one should have to watch their baby so sick. You might need to get a lawyer(you also need to make sure it's a trusted and tested one).
I'll keep you and your little one in my prayers.
Another advice I may have is don't overstay your visa. I hope you're with Family, so that you can go to Nigeria for a week before your 6 months expires and then go back be with your baby while your family member checks up on the baby for you.
Also, you can keep pumping and freeze so you don't lose your milk supply.
I pray for strength, courage, favour, grace, mercy and above all wisdom for you.
All the best !

I am assuming you won't have much luggage for your Ohio leg since you will only be going there for a short stay. Also, you won't be hauling a baby in a car seat and stroller along for that leg as well as having to re-check in d bags.
Bisoye82:

If I do that I will pay for 2nd checked baggage for to and from Ohio.
Thanks my darling

I wish your daughter recovery and pray peace and happiness into your family. Seek service of immigration lawyer like people are recommending; I assume you've been in US for a while so your 6 months is already counting.

Whatever you do, the health of your girl is what should be paramount, everything else is secondary.

It's possible. Lots of my friends don't know I'm on Nairaland talk less of my moniker. But I think she was trying to drive home how our sentiments were exact

Hmm...This emergency gist na from Tuesday dem don they talk am. During my labor I used torchlight to find nurse, needle hole to find anaesthologist. Even when I was fully dilated remain small to push and deliver all by myself. Who is your friend's dr?! I wish her safe delivery

When dr Ezekiel herself came...hmm.... Want to have a talk with her first before saying much...,cuz my husband had to ask me if we indeed paid her or she was doing this for free as a favor

It is well

Similar to one mama's experience with Dr. F... so perhaps Oakbend is the issue here?

I had a still birth on 7th Jan. Its such a very sad experiece.
I used Dr Amanjoh of Methodist sugarland, I have no regret whatsoever! The baby has already passed by the time I got to the hospital for delivery. She stopped being just my doctor and is now my sister. D staff of methodist sugarland and dr Amanjoh are smply great, even as I grief for my baby, I reckon with them, I will simply choose dem again.

And Soulcare woman? God bless her for me, even thogh I'm alone in America with no friend and family, they filled d vacum well. She stayed with me all tru my CS, my 1st thought was to run out of the hospital and board d next plane back to Nigeria wt my pregnancy, but she stayed and held my hand tru the c section, her whole family stayed truout d day helping wt my grief, hers is more than a concierge, it's a calling.

To my roommate, you know yourself, I say Thank you.

To God, I bless ur name, cos you have already given me the fortitude to bear the loss, even though I waited 3 years for this journey. I thank you for defending my own life, and for all.

To my husband, God be praised, I appreciate you more.

@kkbabygirl,am deeply saddened that ur l.o has to go through this, but the good news is that you are in a country were the health care system is not failing like we have here, please right now your primary concern should be your baby and her recovery, other things would be sorted out,I think you should discuss with an immigration lawyer he would give you different options that apply to this situation. The Lord is your strength, this is clearly beyond your control.Hugs

Gosh... this is so painful.

You should see a lawyer like Modath said. You can extend your stay 45 days before your stay expires. It takes almost forever for it to get approved or denied but once you file it, you can stay with your baby until you get a decision, this can be up to a year or more.

God be with you and your LO... you will overcome in Jesus name

Speechless... I didn't know when tears welled up in my eyes. There are no words for the emotion you feel right now. If I am correct, you are numb...

The numbness will give way to anguish, then anger... the feelings are all normal. It is so sad for anyone to go through this pain. But you know what? We serve a God of restoration. The water poured away but the calabash did not break. You will carry water again, and you will deliver your bundle of joy.

There is nothing anyone one can say to console you but let the Holy Spirit minister to you and comfort you. We bless God you are alive, in a few months, this experience will be a story to encourage other women. Only God will console you, and He will surely walk with you during this trying period.

I remember coming here two octobers ago with a sad tale. But our God of Restoration gave me a new song. MiddyO as well. You are more than conqueror. If you need someone to talk to, just to bare your heart to. PM me. *ehugs*
