I saw it coming. I say sorry to all Imolites.

Ujoatu is the PRO of this government on nairaland. I don't know how he sleeps at night after lying to Nigerians and all nairalanders about the true State of things in Imo State.

The economy of Imo State has ground to a halt, no thanks to a governor with misplaced priorities. Nobody wants to say it, but I will say it again and again.

The NMA Imo State went on a peaceful march today against the state of Health care system in Imo State. According to the NMA, DSS, police and other relevant security agencies were informed and they gave their go ahead order. The police later received an order from the Governor, who allegedly ordered them to shoot at the protesting the doctors. Some of the doctors received serious injuries. This is one of them, a Consultant, who was rushed to FMC, Owerri.

The police does not work for the governor do they?

I don't think that any sane politician will dare do that seeing the current temperature of the country.

I believe this to be a lie until I have verifiable source.

Politics can be interesting at times. But it's stories like this that make the social media bill necessary. Any slowpoke can just open a free blog and start disseminating his/her gruesome imaginations as news; and of course the target audience are mainly sentimental buffoons in society who sit idly in their kiosks wishing and praying to hear this kind of stories, so they care less about verification.

Rochas is an evil genius. This man has brought untold hardship on Imolites and Nigerians living in Imo. Is that state even cursed? Back to Back to Back evil governors! I thank God for my Anambra state oo. Even Chris Ngige who is in APC with him was a better governor by a million years. I pity Imolites that re-elected him.

You people must fight tooth and nail to bring PDP or APGA back to that state. Rochas is pure EVIL!
It goes beyond party affiliation. individualism is the key

Watch out in the nearest future the governor is going to single out the doctors that took part in the protest and sack them. It will surly happen. I saw it in my dream. #SeniorProphet.

I thought we have learned people in this nation and how could people just stoop so low in Reasoning? Even when nassarawa state governor dehumanized a lady then,it was denied then despite seeing even the governor on the scene and another story was released entirely. No governor can dare order police to shoot on sight citizens, not even when they're professionals like docs, not even in buhari regime! No source to confirm the link and it's so unrealistic, make up something else op! Even when bosses order police to shoot, they sometimes even go lenient and not go too brutal how much more shoot on sight! Op has no source. Discredited post! Crap!

http://www.channelstv.com/2016/02/04/imo-doctors-protest-alleged-hospital-concession-plan/

The NMA made this call during a peaceful protest
in Owerri, the Imo State capital.
They maintained that the association is not
against the concession policy, but the
government needs to follow some laid down
procedures.

However, the protest turned bloody when one of
the doctors was badly injured as a result of
teargas
allegedly fired by the Police to dispatch
the protesters.

Visiting the Federal Medical Centre, Owerri,
where the injured victim was being treated, the
doctor in charge noted that the victim lost so
much blood but responded to treatment.

In reaction to the allegation, the Police in the
state maintained that their men did not shoot at
anyone but was trying to maintain peace when
some hoodlums tried to hijack the protest.

Following this development, the Nigerian Medical
Association in the state vowed to close down all
health facilities until the issue has been resolved.

Well, the incident occurred and we can all see the pictures. But the Op stating that "Rochas ordered policemen to go and shoot protesting doctors dead," that is the part of the story I find silly.

While I am not supporting the actions of the police, I would like to know if you saw and heard the governor give the shoot at protesters order.

You say it here with certainty.

And how does this corroborate what the op posted? I never disputed the fact that there was protest but that the governor gave such order, I couldn't fathom that and thank God the source never said such! As against the blunt assertion by the op.
