There are few ways you can use to Upgrade the certificate issue by polytechnic in Nigeria to BSC.
The method will be discuss briefly below.

National Diploma: upgrading your national diploma result is not too difficult in the present condition of Nigeria Educational. System.
You can Apply For Direct entry into 200 level.
Although most school demand for upper credit as criteria for direct entry Admission.

HND : you may upgrde your ND result to HND and after your HND you can gain Admission to 300 level in any Nigeria university if you graduated with upper credit while candidates that graduated with lower credit will be consider into 200 level.

HND conversion: Another platform you can use to convert your HND to BSC is by obtaining HND conversion programme in some Nigeria universities.
Conversion programme always take upto 3 or 4 Academic session.

Take ICAN : holders of Ican ATS 3 certificate can also apply for direct entry into 200 level.
Candidate with national diploma with a lower grade or pass can enrol for ICAN ATS exam.

PGD : lastly all Hnd certificate holder can run a post graduate diploma programme to upgrade their certificate in the labour market.

Smh. How can someone with upper credit in HND start from 300 level "in any Nigerian University"? . In UNN, if you like, have distinction, you will be starting from 100 level in some departments. For others, 200. But the conditions attached to that 200 will make you long for 100 level. Talking from experience." Please, don't feed people with trash.

Lols,that was what the OP posted,I have not seen it before,I need to ask,so he needs to enlighten us by listing the universities that does that,does it also apply to Medicine and Law?

I know of someone who did UNISA university of south Africa one year B Tech Electrical Engineering to convert from HND he used it to get an international job with an international oil servicing in Saudi Arabia so I believe in Gods favour not Bsc or HND but what God says u will b. what I have achieved with my HND some B ENG never achieve am career wise,money wise or expose to oversea I have travel more than 3 country so na Gods Grace and I will b going to Turkey and China for another training with another new job that I just got. Depend on God and not your qualification. some of guys dey NLNG with HND dem b millionaires

Yes,there s need for that,especially if your self confidence is at its lowest ebb.Go out there and see a lot of achievement engineered by HND holders that a bsc holder can never dream of.I have seen a lot of university graduates that has nothing to offer them selves or the society.yes they re social,I'll give that to them but most them pay hnd undergraduates for their assignments.

for HND in any Engineering course must never attempt for PGD progrmm it waste of Time, Money and never acceptable as B.sc Engineer. So plese go for any level for your B.sc Upgrading is not our Faulth but it our Leaders and our Country thanks.

Education is good,we all need it,but it only in nigeria I see one particular tribe been so super rich without any certificate not to talk of waec,or ur ND,HND,Bsc whteva u hv,they till earn more money den u do sitting in ur office and do the YES SIR YES SIR thing and why u did not come to wrk yesterday,this tribe I talk abt some of them don't knw how to read and write but yet there accounts read in milloins,it only in this same nigeria I see a WAEC holder getting(some say he don't hv but he is there) the highest office in nigeria(office of the president of the fedral republic) we all knw HIM,the thing is something with all the certificate in ur bag,it may not help u or it may,the thing is GOD qualify d unqualiied to be qualify.cheers

Or a much easier way is not going to a polytechnic in the first place. Rather than pursuing an HND degree take JAMB and start from 100 level if you can't make it to the university through DE at ND level. Nowadays universities are increasing their Quotas, The number of 100 level students progressing to 200 level is too much. Then DE aspirants will always be in stiff competition, In a department not more than 20 DE aspirants would be admitted.

I was surprised recently when i came across an admission list in an administrative office in one of the federal universities in the south south when i saw candidates using HND to apply for courses that will take them another four years (minimum) to round up. If that is the reality of the situation, i mean what is the essence of going for polytechnic in the first place? This is very absord! The competition for entry into Nigerian universities now has become harder and tougher than ever before and it's not good for balancing in our educational sector.

Proudly an HND holder and am gainfully employ,am not regretting having HND. BSC/NCE/HND/OND etc,when favour locates you all protocols are broken. May that favour locate all unemployed youth in Jesus name. Amen

That's cos they were dumbos. Why will a mechanical engineer run to attend training for a mechanic so he can do a mechanic's job? (I'm speaking figuratively here). It's desperation and lack of job that causes that not because a HND is superior. (And I'm not insinuating that Bachelor's is superior either)

Why? Because 9ja runs an inverted pyramid leadership structure. The top is saturated. Why will I employ a freshly baked graduate straight out the oven for a management position when I have experienced hands available for hire who require minimal training to fill/adapt to their new responsibilities, except if I have a big budget for training & development.
While Bsc is tourin 9ja gambling with BSc interviews, HND enters the same firm and gradually starts climbing the promotion ladder. With grace on his side, in less than a decade he crosses over to where the BSc would have started.

There is no much difference between HND and BSc. The polytechnic curriculum is practical oriented while the university have deeper curriculum. Fayose, Amosun and Aregbesola are all HND holders. The knowledge is more important.

Whether ND,HND,BSC,MSC or PHD ,what you need to excel in life is dedication, hardwork , perseverance and initiative. None of the above certificate is a guarantee of successful carreer or fulfilment in life. If you're an HND holder , put in your best in whatever your hands find doing . Academic qualifications is not what determine the success of individual. As you grow older in your carreer ,you will start to see the false conception about certificate. Certificate, diploma, degree are not the same,unless you live in a world of fantasy. The curriculum are designed for different professionals even though there is overlap in some cases. Your career path is what determine what you need.None is superior to the other.
