How many of you would marry your spouse all over again, knowing what you know now about marriage and knowing your spouse as well as do now? If you could go back in time with this knowledge, would you do it all over again?

Couldn't you drop your comment without the last statement?
You're judging others while saying nobody judges you undecided

Op, change the title of your thread to something like: would you marry your spouse over again? And you'll get more views. .

No beef intended, but i know what i wrote up there, people can be most hippocritical and sacarstic about certain things that means alot to others....(if you get what i mean),i didnt write this to get sympathy or judgement from any one ,not even advice sef, i know how to go about my matter, just letting concerned peole know that its not just rosy rosy with all,and that certain people can be blunt.

After 28 years its still sweet as ever. If I could revert the hands of the clock to 1988, I would still go with this wonderful woman by my side.

I love this thread, not those scaring threads about marriages.

As for the question, no perfect person anywhere nor can you find perfect marriage as well. As much as the weaknesses are what the other partner can tolerate and live with, no problems.
I will marry him over and over again and again, his strengths are much more, very much more than his weaknesses and his weaknesses are what I can live with.
Ten years and still counting, it's like we're still dating , the rate at which the time is fast self, it's like someone is fast forwarding the clock.
Much more patient and matured!

I will... For old times sake grin

Comedian , doesn't take life too serious, supportive, doesn't intrude my kitchen, sex is G , best part? , great dad.

It takes effort to build a peaceful home, and finally have a rest of mind. I don't think I wanna go through that phase ever again in another life. So I'll stick to what I've got.

Of course he shares similar sentiments with me. A good Marriage takes Effort to build.

You came to the thread hoping to see only 'bitter' posts abi? That's why you ignored even those that may have written something 'bitter' because you expected more...seems many people have something positive to say...

Bad news no dey tire una? No wonder 'negative comments always get the most likes...

Many people are enjoying their marriages oga, just that people always choose to get attracted to negative/sad news. ...hence negative news make rounds often!
It's well. .

Don't get me wrong sis. I ve never been married b4, perhaps, I do ask questions about marriage, and I most of the times get negative responses, it is not as if the positive responses outweighs the negative ones. I get lots of bad news about marriage, even though I try to ask questions about why it has to be so considering the fact that my parent have been married for close to 30yrs and still happy in it, I kinda likened the situation to the younger generations and their civilised life styles, @ some point I got sacred of marriage because I wouldn't want to be unhappy in it, it might bring divorce but @ the same time, I can't bring innocent kids to this word only to torment them with a broken home. I know I am not ready to marry yet, but I still try to get opinions from people who are married, and that was what brought me into this very thread. And I was surprised that majority are happy in their marriages, so I asked questions where I became confused based on what I ve been hearing in d past about modern day marriages.

Sister, I am not a bad belle, I don't like negative news, I am just a guy who is so inquisitive as to what he will expect in future and den start getting ready for it now.

What can I say; human beings seeking adulation as a defence mechanism againt the repression of the mind. Lies and self deception.

It's alright bro... Your marriage is what you make of it..starting from choosing the right partner for the RIGHT reasons... that many people may have bad marriages doesn't mean yours will be bad as well... it's all up to you..
The positive feedbacks you get should be enough to encourage you..stop dwelling so much on the negative. . I quoted you because people always see one as a liar when one has lil or nothing negative to say about his/her marriage. . Of course no one is perfect but your spouse's negative side(s) should be something you can live with...

Concerning my own marriage, we have known each other for almost eight years and I will marry him over and over again. .. infact in my nxt world, I wouldn't wait for my early twenties to marry him, will marry him once I become an adult grin grin ... The kind of joy he gives me, no other can.. only get that kinda joy when singing praises in the church. .. I'm very optimistic it will remain so for us, Amen. kiss kiss..
it's well

I grew up in a close community where we knew what was happening in our neighbor's houses. Like even if they are bleeping we can hear the moans. Truth is, almost 80% of the families had marital problems including mine.

One was a wife batterer, married for years he loved his kids dearly but was a tyrant to his wife, yet he was born again

Another accused the wife of adultery, sent her packing for a while until they came back again but things were never the same(Papa Ali & family)

Another looked happy and I thought things were good until my cousin revealed to us that he had been asking her for sex. It seems the wife later found out about his adulterous ways, but thank God they stayed together

Another kept bringing different children home

We suspect one wife killed her husband shortly after the man was bold enough to reveal his second illegitimate family(4 children and another woman ) unknown to his original spouse. This was a family I 100%admired because they were often together and things appeared perfect.

I can go on and on. Marriage is good, it's people that mess it up.
