one day , you'll read your crap and shake your head at your foolishness. Everybody has something to offer and we are all growing. At facebook, theyre those working on code any high schooler can perform and those requiring phd's in math/computer science. Do the phs look down on the high schoolers? Maybe. But each one is needed in the organisation. The other cant replace the other.

Bros @dhtml, i dey wait ohhh. Fire the first question or task: You create your solution you can even specify the language you want it done in and i will try to solve it within an hour. At the end of one hour i submit my solution and you submit your solution and we criticize the solution and others may contribute and review. Waiting......
If you dont enter the challenge wont bother arguing with you again self, cause i assume you are true sissy wey just get mouth but no actions. Even when you lose the challenge you keep your honor intact and i take you as a worthy colleague. Not to engage in this sword battle will be your peril on nairaland ohhhhhh.

I really like your guts . . . . I'm waiting for the contest . . .

Seunthomas, I totally agree wtih you sir!

Programming is not about hacking up software and knowing a thing or two about every language. Every kid can do that. Its about problem solving, algorithms, and data structures.

I have been reading your comments on this forum and they are usually so informed and mature....unlike you-know-who that just makes me laugh all the time.

Am waiting and cheering boss! Today na today!!!

Everybody is just claiming to sabi several language, basic, qbasic, prolog, ada etc.
As for me i still stick with my php, but if you need me to write in other language, give me 24 hours and i will build a program with anyone.
@guru01 Thats the spirit, although i highly recommend you learn a few other languages. The benefits are enormous. You can thank me later.

@asalimpo If you had followed the thread by reading before jumping maybe you would have had better comments. I am not looking down on anyone. @dhtml was actually arrogant. Next time look before you leap(or read before you leap).

At the end of your ranting you still haven't proven yourself to be a superior programmer. You jumped on a C thread attacking dhtml that he knows only objective C and that he's an olodo. And u expect him not to counter punch u? You think the best way to show superiority is by challenging him to a contest? Like asalimpo said, you acting like a kid bragging all what not. I'm not as good as you o but if I was I won't be trolling on Nairaland. I will be looking to better myself with my contemporaries abroad. Not bragging that I started programming since 98 with nothing to sure for it. Immature dumb fvck

. . . .I apologize to all the expectant dhtml18 fans on nairaland. . . . .
@seunthomas, you have made exactly 19 comments on this thread, and this is my first one.
And in all that 19 comments you have made, I cannot see any challenge there other than ranting. . . .
I could have left my supporters to actually e-kill you, but no, I shall finish you off myself. . . .

Let me point out a few of your errors:
1. You have failed to mention the terms of the challenges.
2. You have failed to produce even an empty github link to your name
3. I am yet to see any work that you have done till this point
4. You seem not to know how to intelligently create a poll on this board.
5. You have been running your mouth anyhow, while i have been busy earning some dough.

Let me give you some simple terms for this challenge:
1. Produce like 5 of your best works, and I shall produce mine as well. (for starters)
2. Produce at least 5 open-source libraries that you have written for developers (and at least one framework).
3. Show us a browser plugin that you have done, and I shall show you mine.
4. Show me your own person website/portal (minor criteria, if you dont have no problem)
5. You must provide us your github link or the challenge is null-and-void.
6. Show us at least a desktop application that you have developed, a mobile application you have developed, and also a website you have developed.

For those that do not know what I do: I am a software developer, mobile application developer and web-application developer (all in one). With very excellent knowlege of at least 15 hot programming languages (including objective-c for ios development). And I am also good at running my out because I am actually proud of my codes (i call it code-marketing, while some others call it arrogance but i dont really care - so others call me a troll) - which speak for me (but i code faster with my hands than my mouth while that is the reverse for some others).

* As a bonus, I also speak/write espanol *

You go first, then I follow. If you cannot match these simple criteria, then you are not worthy of challenging me to an e-duel, and I shall simply declare a walk-over.

@dhtml18 Very happy you responded although am a little surprised. Anyway as for the challenge, is it that you dont read or that your mouth goes faster than you code. It was expressly stated in the opening of this thread. You will poise a problem which must be solvable by software, you will have that solution and my job is to create the solution within 1 hour. After 1 hour, we do review. We both upload our code here or any other agreed place for everyone to see. This is simple and clear. All that ranting about showing work na lie and filmtrick. Anyone can fork a project and claim it is own. This is live and direct. Programming is problem solving. I wait for the first task. If you need any other clarifications, you can read my first few messages. Please read in detail before talking. Waiting.....

Well though i quite respective all the views here. I want to state categorically that its challenges that bring about creativity and innovation. Its when there is an atmosphere of mature competition that we see progress. As for my beef with @dhtml18 its a mature way of stressing our mind. The drama just makes it more interesting. At the end of the day win or lose both of us should be able to appreciate each other. I think we need that in Nigeria rather than foreign hero worship, who knows we just might make some legends on this forum.

@dhtml18 with all your mouth self about github, i know the projects you forked. Start the challenge now, if i dont hear from you soon, i may even reveal to your so called supporters their paper champion. You are lucky you put the neccessary comment cause the projects are lgpl. They for sue you.
Re: The Greatest Programmer On Nairaland by Nobody: 8:14pm On Feb 24, 2016
@everyone viewing this thread, I now crown myself the champion since seunthomas has failed to rise to my simple challenge.
This in law is called an open-and-close case.

I gave you six simple criterias, and you respond with insult - you see your life? And yet, you want to claim superiority over ME? tufiakwa.

My work is for all to see, go to github, you go see me there, go to heroku, you go see me there, go to yahoo answer - i dey dia too.
go to dynamicdrive.com - i got archives there too. You will find my binaries on sourceforge.net and many many other places.

Search google for phpbrowserbox and i shall be first on the page, search google for flatsql, na me you go find. In fact, I am just too much.

@seunthomas, we are rating based on past-achievement or portfolio. Let us assume that Facebook/Google wish to employ one of us to work for them, it is past projects, blogs, portfolio, github and all those things that will use to first separate us.

Your saying that we should start writing codes (so that you can cheat) is senseless, i am sorry to say. I put it to you mr seunthomas, that when we are talking open-source especially on this programming - you should not be talking when i am talking.

That is where you are wrong. This shows just how shallow a brain you got bro. You pretend to be an expert, but you actually are just a NOOB as far as I am concerned, i stand to be corrected. I feel very sorry for your supporters because it shows that they too are quite ignorant and dont know that the person they follow is on the same level as them (discombolated trolls).

If you are an intelligent coder, just check the comments on each project. The older project which is probably what @dhtml18 forked is called zebra_database. Although forking is allowed but when you plagiarise like bros @dhtml18 did you cant call it your code. More expose coming soon......

Re: The Greatest Programmer On Nairaland by Nobody: 8:21pm On Feb 24, 2016
@seunthomas, you have not proved anything but make yourself foolish. So dhtmlsql was forked from zebra_database project eh?
Now, you will need to prove that to the whole world.

Let me help you quickly:
dudes: here is what our op is alleging

https://github.com/stefangabos/Zebra_Database
and
https://github.com/dhtml/dhtmlsql/
are clones? oya, php dudes oya confirm that please!

I will ask you a serious question? Do you know the similaries and differences between zebra_database and dhtmlsql? Doubtful.
Do you know the meaning of opensource eh? So if someone looks at my dhtmlsql and create something similar to it - in opensource world - like you said, that is stealing eh? You are even much more ignorant than i earlier thought, i have to review my earlier opinion of you.

Until another expert reviews the two libraries and say they are clones, i put it to you that you are as ignorant as they come. . .and with that, i am no longer bothering with your rants.

You have failed to respond to my challenge with something meaningful, therefore, you have failed. And with that, I am no longer commenting on this thread as you have nothing to offer other than rants.

Well, if you take someone's code and you make modifications(real modifications) then depending on the license you may make it closed or it remains open source. But what you have done right now with the code you published is criminal. The code is not yours but regarded as a fork. Now a fork in itself is the original library and your own changes. But i have done code matching and what you have done is practically stole zebra_database or whatever fork of zebra_database you stole. The similarities are too much ohhhhhhh.

Re: The Greatest Programmer On Nairaland by seunthomas: 8:38pm On Feb 24, 2016
Any developer knows its very unlikely that 2 people comment the same comment in code. Na thiefing be that. I know your forked something that forked zebra_database. Which is level 2 stealing. If you continue to defend yourself, i will look for your the main project that you stole hookline and sink line and am 95% sure it would be an exact copy with your project. For flatsql, i also have the fork abi make we continue......
