Behold over 500 Youths Engaged in the Anambra State's POS-IGR Project that will employ about 10,000 persons when fully implemented.

Gov Obiano just arrived Dr Alex Ekwueme Square to launch Banks' Use of Point of Sale (POS) for Internally Generated Revenue Collection in the State.

This project will not only ensure decency in revenue drives but will also tighten all leakages and facilitate Obiano's target of hitting a minimum of N2.2bn Monthly without increasing taxes.

You mean Ogun state that is about the most industrialized state in Nigeria?
They don't need to carry POS around town in Ogun state to capture large percentage of the traders thst constitute 99% of the populace like they need in Anambra, just to collect minimum tax. They are already under the tax net with PAYEE, CIT, VAT and WHT.

Of course I did not edit, he edited my comment to leave the unpleasant part out. grin grin grin
What is obvious here is that the traders need to be chased around to comply with the minimum tax payment. They can't even do self assessment.

Every states use those system importantly if they are multinationals.

Besides this pos will create extra job that's why it lords over other toutism procedures practised in your backward state you come from.

The bottom line is that Anambra is a state that is filled with people that are not tax-compliant and you need to chase them on the streets to pay minimun tax to government. The only way to bring them into the tax net is not through the formal means but a road-show tax drive. grin

Guy man there is nothing unpleasant in all your comment. LOL

Of course, Anambra does not operate a mono economy, there are corporate workers, industrial workers, business men & women etc

Listen to your myopic reasoning, you think Anambra is osun??

If they don't pay tax like you said then why didn't the government retire hiring armed trained officers instead of civil servants that are still to be employed..

Nah envy go kill you keep lurking around the thread joblessly. Smh
