Only ethnically/politically/religiously sentimental people with a prejudice for Amaechi can open their mouths and say Amaechi did nothing in Rivers state. Another set of people who may also say this are ignoramuses who do not even know where Rivers state is on the world map. That being said, even though Amaechi was 100 times better than Odili and also better than almost all other southern governors, he could have actually done more with the resources at his disposal. Hopefully, Wike would break his record.

Can't understand the idea behind all these campaigns of projected completed and those about to while others were completed on the drawing papers. (E.G the monorail looks so beautiful on paper but what of the actualization

May be the OP should go a step further to tell us how much was accrued to the state during the period of Ameachi reign and how much was expended so far and juxtaposed it with the balance expected to be handed over with the actual balance left (if any) .

Then we can say of a truth, Ameachi no like money grin

Bros he did. However it was when Wike was his chief of staff. All those projects were done in his first tenure. It was because of this Rivers people considered him for a second tenure. Unfortunately, he used money accrued to Rivers State to sponsor election instead of developing his state.
You can see why Rivers people believed it was Wike who influenced him to carry out those meaningful projects.
I would also want to add that the mono rail project was a miscalculation. Its present state is about 20% complete. Dont be deceived by the pix you see. The train you see has no rail for tractions. It was hurriedly put in place to deceive Nigerians who can not get down to verify things by themselves.

The train on the monorail seems not to be willing to move.

I would have appreciated the monorail project pics if the Op posted other pics of the speed train on the move with passengers on board and most especially the rail track from end to end and not just frontal view pics.

Amechi did all that and so much more. He built schools offering free education with uniforms, Internet, track and field, textbooks, etc. As well as Health centres offering free health care in every community. And he completed so many roads both state and federal. The problem the people of rivers have with him was that he didn't share money for them. He chose to do the work without any kola for the people.
He even built my office and I was there at the commissioning which he attended. NESREA Southsouth Zonal Office, at DLine. A federal government parastatal under the Federal Ministry of Environment.

Bros, I believe u r educated and more mature dan dis. So Wike (chief of staff) influenced Amaechi (Governor and previously a Speaker for 8yrs) to develop his own state? Pls try and keep quiet if u people have nothing to say. Wike sabotaged most of d developmental projects Amaechi started in his 1st term.
Lemme ask u, who was the contract for Iwofe-rumuolumeni rd awarded to during Amaechi's 1st term? Incase u don't knw it's Wike, and he spent d money. It would interest u to know dat Wike collected Commision from all contractors Amaechi awarded contracts for projects, dis made most of dem to have issues with mobilization to sites, this was just one of d few issues dat started dier strained relationship after his 1st term. Wike is a globally recognised thief, if u doubt it let him surrender his immunity today and see if he would not end up in Jail.
