When & How Did We Degenerate To This Level?

It’s so very unfortunate how we who are called ‘Leaders of tomorrow’ have degenerated & condescended so low to become ignorant, hateful and political tools in the hands of politicians whom call themselves our ‘so called leaders’ yet pursuing their own selfish interest.

I’m really amazed, disgusted & sadden for our ignorant youths, here on Nairaland politics & the nation at large who have sold themselves cheap to individuals who DO NOT give a Damn about their lives and future. These individuals irrespective of both sides of Political Divide are MADE FOR LIFE, Both Them, Their Children to the 2nd & 3rd Generation! Yet we are here busy fighting for them, when most of us do not know what the future holds!. LETS GET REAL!!

Nairaland and other forums/platform over the years have been medium by which Latest News & Current affairs were being posted, shared and issues deliberated constructively for general consumption. But it’s so unfortunate that few years down the line till date, it has become common sight to find our young people:
• Posting False, Malicious & Propaganda News - Absurd, unfounded, outsourced, false news and information
• Professing to belong to various groups – political/socio-political, tribal/ethnic, religious, etc. all which just started few years ago.
• Spreading malicious & hate messages – against other individuals, groups, tribes, Leaders, etc
• Insulting the Person & Office of our National Leader – imaging calling our own President & other Leaders names like Terrorist!! YOU JUST CAN’T TRY THIS IN OTHER COUNTRIES. It is Treason, Not Freedom of Speech!
* Rejoice at/Celebrate Bad news, killings & co, while they downplay Good News!
• Support for Selfish Politicians – Individuals who do not care less if you exist. All they do is to use you and we mortgage our lives with just few thousands for their selfish cause.
• Above all, Insulting & fighting ourselves here on this forum. This is what hurts me the most!

LISTEN! WE ARE JUST LIKE A LITTLE CHILD WHO IS DROWNING, AND TWO ADULTS JUST STANDING RIGHT BY ARE BUSY ATTACKING & BLAMING EACH OTHER, INSTEAD URGENTLY JOINING HANDS TO QUICKLY RESCUE THE DROWNING CHILD.
WORST STILL, THE LITTLE CHILD IN HIS DROWNING STATE ALSO JOINS IN POINTING FINGERS TO WHO IS AT FAULT, INSTEAD OF FIGHTING TO SAVE HIMSELF!!
This is the unfortunate state of our Nigeria Young people. We are drowning, infact almost drowned by years of neglect and bad leadership, Yet we join forces with the people who care less about us to fight each other & themselves. It’s so Absurd & Unfortunate!

Friends it is Us Who Suffers!!
• I remember the NIS (Immigration) recruitment just few years back where millions of young people applied for just a thousand or so jobs. We all know the result – deaths, disappointment, losses, etc.
• I also remember the SURE-P recruitment ‘scam’ few years ago. I usually see them every morning on my way to work at their make-shift ‘Office’ at Toll-Gate area of Lagos, marching, standing & sitting outside; while others are hustling papers all over. Where are they now? Who has suffered and bore the loss?
• Just recently, April 1st to be Precise, the Nigeria Police opened its recruitment portals for 10,000 positions. Guess what as at this morning, I heard 500,000 applicants have already applied, & yet it hasn’t closed.
• Other hundreds of failed recruitment exercises both from Government and Private sectors.

I guess most of us on this platform have been victims of several disappointing recruitment. Instead of Us to Channel Our ‘Anger’ to Better Our Lot & Future, We Are Still Letting Ourselves, Our Families & Generation Down by being cheaply used as tools in the hands of few selfish individuals. LETS GET REAL!!

Pls Ask Yourself - What Do You Plan On Doing When You Wake Up & Leave Home in the Morning? What Is Your Purpose of Your Day? Is it to come online and post malicious news, messages and insulting statements, or to DO YOUR WORK, CONTRIBUTE YOUR QUOTA TO NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT BY BEING CONSTRUCTIVE, PRODUCTIVE & HARDWORKING!

What is your plan in Life? Short term, Medium & Long term. How Long Will You Keep Being A Tool in Some else’s hand. How Long Will You continue to be a Slave to further someone else’s cause? We need to ask ourselves these critical questions.

As a young man in his early 30’s & having being privilege to work in both the Private & now Public sector, I strive every day to be a better person, citizen, colleague, etc., with plans of taking my Career & businesses to the next level, sourcing for Projects, being an aspiring Entrepreneur hiring hundreds/thousands of people, directly & indirectly.
I don’t insult, hate or that, but positively try to add value to myself & society, INSPITE OF THE ENORMOUS CHALLENGES BEING FACED PRESENTLY.

Our Nation will get better when we all join hands & positively contribute our quota. FOLKS LETS GET REAL!! NUFF SAID!

Bro pls where in my write up did I specifically mention any leader's name? Did you find mention names of any politician, groups or so?

You see how Politicians have bitterly blindfolded most of our young folks. They've made us bitterly go against one another.
