J T the second is a mystery that will be unveil soon.

EPISODE X - ii

Two guys were spotted at dawn the next morning looking spent and famished, though they were not more than two hundred metres apart, none knew the whereabout of the other.
Each person was locked up in his own world and the tendencies to survive instinctively tilted toward the negative.

When they heard the gun shot the previous night, J T the second and Chuks had vanished in different directions leaving the other boy who fell to the ground almost immediately and kissed the earth goodbye.
Each one of them had his survival instinct sitting gallantly on the summit of mount everest as they ran with gargantuan velocity.

It was not until they thought that they were out of the zone X that the it occurred to them that someone can actually die from exhaustion.
Each one of them was afraid of exacerbation that they continued running as soon as they were strong enough to move, it was all about staying alive.

J T the second crossed the narrow bush track leading to tarred road, he wanted to run a hypothetical hypotenuse route to the main road but changed his mind and turned right following the track instead.

Chuks on the other hand came to a clearing and changed his course towards the left, his reason were that his only chance of reconciling with J T the second is to make sure that he doesn't drift too far.

They both ran for some time and stopped when their feet refused to be cooperative. Chuks found an almost completed building without a gate and went in, the positions of iron rods in the compound showed that the owner had not abandoned the building.
Taking a closer look at the building, one would deduced that activities had taken place on it not long ago cos there were shovels placed at one corner of the building and the iron to be used in making pillars for the gate were arranged at one end of the compound, they were still free from the effect of corrosion which means that it's not been long they brought the iron rods to the compound.

Chuks forged ahead not minding the indications that the owner might want to use the place any time soon. All he needed was a place to rest his sorry ass, as far as he was concerned, he had passed caring, he had escaped two near-death experiences and was ready for anything only that he needed his sleep so badly and would kill for it.

J T the second on the other hand had followed narrow path to an abandoned house that had become a natural habitat for reptiles and some amphibious animals that can strive on land.
Weeds had taken resident already and were indiscriminately occupying every aspect of the building. He moved from one room to another looking for a room that will be more tolerable, he soon found one that had a few pieces of zinc on it, the original occupant of the room was not around so he had the room to himself that night.

Sade had woken up earlier than usual that very morning, she had gone to bed with a troubled heart, the recent turn of events were stunning to say the least and she was also at the receiving end since Jude had been declared missing.
She had gone to bed with a strong resolve to look for Jude anywhere and anyhow.

Picking up her tired self she raise to her feet and gave a wide yawn twisting her body in all direction as far as she was allowed by her flexible joints.
She smelt her breathe and made a face, slowly she walked into the bathroom gathering her pink night gown that was sweeping the floor.
She brushed her teeth as fast as she could and dashed into the kitchen to muscle the left over jellof rice that she had prepared the previous day.

It was past 8am when she left her room to attend lectures and made a mental note to begin her search for Jude beginning from his hostel

The rise of the sun brought gentle caress to his face as it sneaked in from the open window.
Chuks had over slept in the building not minding the terrible vampires that paraded themselves as mosquitoes.
The sprung to his feet swiftly and effortlessly, the hunger that they had experienced these past days had made him as light as the wind
He walked out of the building and was about taking the narrow path to go look for J T the second when he saw someone running towards his direction with a mad man closely on his heel.

Sade was just coming out of the hall when she saw she friend swirling lazily from the opposite direction.
She had just finished listening to the most boring lecture of her life, it's not as though the lecture was boring in itself, just that she was simply not interested in listening to what the lecturer was saying especially when it all talk and no practical.

' babe what's up! ' she greeted with a tone that lacked much enthusiasm, her worries were taking the better part of her.

' I just dey o ' her friend replied ignoring the lack of enthusiasm that her friend had displaced earlier.
' you're the one that's scarce these days ' she added covering the distance between them.
' I've been around na, you're looking better. '

' for where! That na old gist give me new tori. '

' nothing new dey o, anyway you don see Chuks around these days '

' who's Chuks? ' with a wiggling movement her friend sort for a place to sit.

' you wan tell me say you no know Chuks? ' her friend nodded in the negative to show that she lacked knowledge on the subject of discussion.

' you no know Chuks, that my boyfriend roommate and best friend, that fine bobo wey you been dey treep for wey been no get your time. '

' hold am there! I no just want that your bad mouth, I no see anybody for anywhere ' she said getting up from her sitting position and dusting her jeans.

' you sure? ' Sade asked eyeing her friend.

' ah, dem no dey write am for face na ' she smiled and patted her friend on the shoulder as they strolled away.
They parted when they got to the intersection as Sade made her way to the male hostel, her best bet was to start her search for Jude from his hostel.
When she got to his hostel she met the shock of her life cos the door to his hostel was ajar and someone was lying peaceful on the mattress.

Chuks could not believe the event that played before his very eyes. J T the second was being given a hot chase by a mad man whose privacy he had invaded when he went to sleep in the abandoned building the previous night after he barely escaped with his life when sergeant Peter had fired that shot that brought down the other boy who had been the victim of circumstances.
He was enjoying his sleep peacefully despite the attacks from the mosquitoes who were overjoyed when the fellow walked in that night, they did not waste anytime before jumping on the chance of having a good meal.

He was still in his peaceful doze when the legal occupant of the building came back from perambulating the area and found that his privacy had been invaded.

The mad man did not take it kindly with the intruder as he demonstrated his displeasure by giving him a full swing with the stick that he was carrying.
At first J T the second thought that the world had come to an end but when the fog cleared from his eyes he discovered that the situation was critical and took to his heel while the heinous mad man gave him a hot chase.

Chuks did not wait to be told before taking part in the race, he ran as fast as his legs could permit, the reason for the race was inconsequential and did not appeal to his intellect as he outrun J T the second and continued leading until they got to the main gate of the school and only stopped when he was sure that the mad man had relented in his pursuit.

J T the second soon caught up with him as he bent down to catch his breathe, the duo was obviously tired from running all day as a matter of fact they have had a lot of running these past few day.

' guy i'm tired of running ' Chuks spoke at last revealing his displeasure at the situations and shape that their lives had taken, He was looking so spent and mal-nourished from all the days of running.
' i'm also tired of running, I mean look at me who would've thought that I " J T the second " who came to school to study would start running for my life, it's really beats my imagination. ' J T the second spat out wiggling his nose, picking up a stone from the ground he stared into space.

' I think we should visit the hostel and get some stuffs and probably have a decent bath, it's been a while you know. ' Chuks gave a chuckle and swirled to the left to avoid crashing into the butterfly that was moving in a lazy random motion.
' i'm thinking of that too '

' then lets get going, we can sneak into the hostel, the boys will be too busy for lectures to notice us. ' With that they moved tactical to the hostel.

J T the second was sleeping peacefully in their lodge when someone screamed out his name in shock, the intensity of the scream startled even Chuks that was sleeping on his mattress, they almost evaporated into thin air with fright and horror when they beheld a figure in the room.

' Jude! ' she called out again.

' Sade! ' he echoed
