The question on everyone's mind is: Is Air Peace competent enough. I think the revitalization of the internationational flights
is not happening soon with talks about the runway being a death-trap

No, Ethiopian Airline has not stopped their operations.

The poster was implying that Air Peace international operations may not commence due to the alleged pot holes on the runway which I think is all politics.

Thanks I was about making same update. The governor just had a meeting with the Fulani community to ensure peace in the state but the guy forgets that the Fulanis are invaders and colonialists and nothing will stop their killings unless those being killed surrender or fight back.

HEAVY FIGHTING BETWEEN FULANI HERDSMEN AND THE PEOPLE OF UZO-UWANI IN ENUGU

Actually when I got news about fulani invasion of that community I was not happy.

But fighting fulani in your community they have nothing to lose so people should mobilize themselves, equip themselves, trace the various fulani communities in Nasarawa, plateau , Zamfara and Sokoto and attack them too. I think they will feel the pain more and stop this their madness.

Enough of this, it's getting too much for crying out loud.

To act elitist by keeping quiet, is the highest disservice contributors to this thread are doing to our affected people.

There should have been a robust discussion about the deaths at Ukpabi Nimbo here. Is it that the contributors here don't wanna offend someone or what? While we discuss the progress made in the state and region, we should also recognize the threats to the progress. Fact is, big businesses pay attenttion to SWOT analysis. Therefore, what is happeining is a threat to doing business in Enugu as a whole. This could also affect that your dream airport and the others.

It was Awgu yesterday. It is Ukpabi Nimbo today. It could be the 9th-Mile, Emene or even Awka tomorrow. I am disturbed and saddened about a situation that is helpless. More so, when those who supposed to show leadership are asking the people to engage in 'fasting' as a solution to the horrendous massacre . I am still trying to figure out how this would deter the Sahel killers and keep our people safe. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi's statement was shocking. He had better kept quiet.

Yes, someone or a group out there is sponsoring these killers. It therefore behooves on our people to ignite their right to self defence. Nnsuka as a whole must rise up to the occassion. Organise self defence unions. Everything is available ...So whatever type of weapons they use in mowing down our people, use same against them. Don't wait for any politician.
Mow them down with the same weapons! Excuse me.

Don't call Ugwuanyi idiot because if you were involved you couldn't have done otherwise. The issue is national and no Governor or President past and present has been able to stop it. Everyone should put hands together in seeking lasting solution.

He is an idiot because all he could do is cry political tears and ask for fasting and prayers for two days. I guess thats ur definition of putting hands together.

Now, we need state police to help cur this nonsense, as the FG has been incompetent, over the years, to put an end to the menace.

No you don't need to be... In all honesty, these Enugu people couldn't have done any better, they were taking unawares, imagine invading a community by 3 am, what do you expect them to do by that time? This carnage was done with full impramatur of the president, and as such the community fell for this dastardly act. What we should be considering now is how to stop further acts from occurring. We should try to be vigilant at all times.

This clash has been happening for years if we must tell ourselves the truth. It's not easy to fight homeless people who live by wandering across West Africa. We should rather join hands to fight the menace together than to blame the victims.

Don't mind them...
GEJ was there when the Fulanis nearly over-ran Berom people in Nassarawa state. It didn't occur to our people back then that it was only a matter of time before they came knocking.

Having said that Buhari should take a hard stance against whoever is behind these barbaric acts. We will like to see some convictions.
