I don't know about air but I got 261 hits in GOW2 after chaining combos for almost 2mins. It's hack 'n' slash, bro.

Hehe... I don't think you get it, in DMC 5 you can spend more than a minute "IN AIR"... That's saying something... In gow you just run from one enemy to another, hoping the combo time limit doesn't run out... In dmc 5 you can rotate the entire flood in air... So does raiden in mgr... I never said it is not a hack and slash but, it isn't a hardcore hack and slash, full of gore and violence, yea but, maybe you need to play dmc 5 to appreciate the beauty of variety of combo combination in chains... Gow has like, how many, 2 to 3 different styles of combos, times that by the number your fingers would never finish executing, that's dmc...
However if you have played dmc and still don't see what I'm saying, then you must be a very casual gamer (no offence)

I guessed I'd touch a nerve with that statement lool, the combos in DMC are almost infinite....you've got a point about GoW though but not sure I'm feeling the new 3rd person view rather than the same what eagle-eye view. It's leaning toward Ryse:SOR.
DMC isn't an intensive game either so it's easy hit a smooth gameplay, heck I was running that game on an Intel Q6600 quad and an AMD Turks 6670 1GB.

I don't know, people would eventually get tired of the bird eye view, if thats what it's called, kinda game play I think. I feel like they want gamers to feel more into the game, like "I am this guy" like you could almost feel him,, you know unlike the old oh-i'm-contolling-that-guy kinda feeling, like "ohhh... That things gonna hit HIM if I don't dodge it" but now if say like, some creature comes from Behind you, you might even be a little freaked out, you know... I mean first person would be stupid, like in thief and mirrors edge (hope I don't get crucified) but I think they just want a different experience for the fans...
I agree however about dmc, I played 5 on an amd 321mb vram or something and it was great... What can I say... Good for me I guess, hehe...

PS: Iiiiiii think the new gow story would be predictable by the way, I don't know but, I feel we would soon play as the son... I don't know, except they choose to end it here (which is unlikely because they said gow 3 would be the last at the reveal gameplay show)... And seriously, we are tired of seeing kratos... I mean no matter what happens he always win... Maybe a little twist to the story won't be bad... "it's about time he retired" as someone puts it...

IMO, I think the new view will take away that sense of being fast paced. Although one can argue DMC is similar but from the game-play trailer it seemed sluggish. But we'll see more soon..if it's slow paced I won't bother getting it tbh...my 2cents. (the other half has a PS4)

Here's the story I'm hoping for. Kratos' scenes are just a prelude. He's shown training his son, a bit of bonding and then dies a glorious and memorable death, preferably protecting his son. The son then grows up and decides to shun violence but then is forced to fight when the world he holds dear is threatened. All the while, trying to avoid becoming the mass murderer his father used to be.

P.S : Doesn't have to be exactly that. Just something in a similar vein. They could also go for the joint gameplay. Bottomline: Whatever Santa Monica comes up with, I'm positive I'll love it.

Hand hand head hand leg
Leg hand hand leg leg
Head leg hand leg hand leg
Hand hand hand hand
Head head head head head
(spinning) sword leg hand leg hand
Pull push drag hand sword etc...

Dmc has a whole lot of those, gow has few... I don't have the game anymore I would have chained some combos and post them so you could get a glimpse...

PS: in dmc 4 Dante has 4 different weapons all of those weapons have not less that 4 combinations each... Nahh... Gow don't come close...
Wait, is that what we're talking about...? Are we arguing that gow is a hack and slash or that it has more combos than dmc...? Oh, snap... I don't even think we're arguing at all... The conversation was between me and akbliv and you just said it was hack and slash and I confirmed that... Nothing more to talk about then, eh... cheesy anyways... Digest that... It's information

Well, IMO, GOW has mainly blade combos but they are combos nonetheless. I haven't played DMC yet. Last time I played Dante was Devil May Cry 3 (And I cried too. 4ckin hard game). The combos there were just as awesome as GOW. But since you're painting DMC as much superior, I'll reserve my comment until I try it out.

Yea... Please do...
Buuuut, if you are complaining about the difficulty in 3, then 4 might be a nightmare... Well I don't play games on anything less than the extreme difficulty so I wouldn't know how the easy difficulty is cool but... It requires good skills, 5 was a piece of cake though...

PS: while you're at it... Get Metal gear rising too... It's crazy

There are no mobile games with anything even close to a decent story line... They are all pass-time kinda games...

That's not true there are a lot of android games out there with great storylines I can list a few.

1.The wolf among us

2.The walking dead season 1 & 2

3.Game of thrones

4.Out there chronicles

5.Heavy metal thunder etc.

These games live and die on storylines without it they don't exist.

Actually, the first 2 are based on comics (Fables and The Walking Dead) and the third on novels (A Song of Ice and Fire book series).

The first 3 are also available on other platforms, they are not solely mobile games, so that logic's flawed...

There's something I've noticed among gamers these days. Most of them focus on nothing besides graphics, they're always going after the games with the best graphics while ignoring other aspects of gaming.

Graphics are not everything in gaming, in the early days of the Arcades and the Atari graphics were horrible but games played these games and enjoyed them. While it's true that graphics enhance the gaming experience they should not be the main focus.

A good game should have excellent gameplay and a fascinating storyline. If these two criteria are met graphics may not be an issue. Minecraft for example is one of the most played games in the world but it doesn't have much in terms of graphics.

I think gamers should enjoy video games for what they are and not because of sweet looking graphics which can get boring after a while.
sadI quite think graphic is important that's why they are called video games they are meant to make you feel the imaginary world

No it's not, an android game is a game that runs on the android platform, so even if it's on other platforms doesn't change the fact that the android version is still unique.

Secondly, there are a lot of android games out there that are not on other platforms that have great storylines games like The Silent Age, Sol Invictus and Out There Chronicles are good examples.

Your logic remains flawed, those three were released on multiple platforms (including mobile). Nothing unique about it, more of trying to make money from every platform. In fact, they're all Telltale Games using Telltale's business model (the whole thing I just said earlier) & game engine (Telltale Tool), which when you think about it really sullies the whole "unique" experience. You could have simply stated games that were only available on mobile to prove your point.

Oh and in the emboldened, an extra comma could have been handy. It could have saved me the weird look that I had on my face, while reading it.

Out of the last three two are exclusively mobile and the third made it's debut on android and the PC version is on the way. Do you still think the logic is flawed that way? and sorry about the comma I did correct it but apparently you quoted me before the change took effect.

If you want to argue this we should all look at history, the GTA vice city, liberty city and San Andreas are the most best selling open world games of PS2. Their graphics was really poor but their storyline and gameplay was on point, they were 100s of games with way better graphics on PS2 but the GTA series outsold all of them. Storyline and gameplay should be the most important!

The difficulty of the devil May cry series was toned down in 4. 3 was so difficult it had to be re released again as devil May cry 3 special edition. Even that edition was as difficult as Bleep. Most video games nowadays are very easy except for the dark souls series. Hardcore gamers know this.

True Crime was as beautiful as an open world game can be on the PS2. Shame the owners sold it. Sleeping Dogs might have looked better.

Hehe... A friend of mine who hates to be frustrated and a casual gamer, enjoyed 3... It wasn't very difficult dude. (well, subjectively... depending on your skills)

Then you haven't played any of the souls series. You need serious luck aside practice to beat some of the bosses. Like the orphan of Los in bloodborne.
