OML 113 is in the Benin Embayment Basin area closer to the republic of Benin and not Niger Delta.

They better get used to Lagos as an Oil producing state because the whole of Benin basin is full of oil and the OML 113 licence covers an area of 960km2 and contains several prospects, including the Jubilee and Tweneboa fields.

Further exploration of course can be done as part of future field development activities. After which new wells will tie back through subsea manifold and then to the FPSO.

Don't forget that the revenue belongs to the Federal Government. Perhaps some form of derivation may come into Lagos. Taxes from Folawiyo should also come into Lagos. Logistics base might be from one of the Free trade zones around Lagos. This will provide jobs. As for royalties, they MIGHT not apply since the field is not within any aboriginal lands of Lagos peoples-in principle. Besides royalty is to the Landowner. And the Federal Government owns all land, thanks to Obasanjo. As such the FG is the Lessee and owner of the mineral rights.

I however hope that it benefits Lagosians a great deal. And hope that in future Lagosians will not have militant groups.Hahahahaha

It is not located in any LGA. It is outside the recognized administrative and political boundaries of Lagos State.

That is why I said Aje's case is different from some faclities and fields located right inside the state. The Belema, Inda, Indama, Robert Kiri, Torugbene etc. Facilities and fields are right inside Rivers and Bayelsa States. Inside local governments areas.

Aje Field and its associated subsea and surface facilities are not located in any Local Government Area within Lagos State.
