This is a thread where we come to share our experience with the Nigerian postal service (NIPOST).

Nipost has undergone transformations recently, especially in the way and manner they do business . A lot of Nigerians have benefited from this transformation.

How be it, I do not claim it is all wonderful experience for everybody.
I know some people may have one or two "not to good" experience , but am sure we have a lot of good testimonies from Nigerians .

So let's here your experience, so we can help drive this transformation of the Nigerian postal service.

I will be sharing news on Nipost, you can also ask questions, an I will do my best to answer based on the much I know or I will refer you to Nipost customer service officers for more information.

You can also make recommendations, give ideas of what more could be done to make NIPOST great.

Friends, your help is needed please. I sent a letter through NIPOST (Registered mail) on the 28th of April to Canada and the mail has not been delivered till date. I have used all the tracking sites I know but I keep getting the same message "Inserted to bag". I've called NIPOST customer care severally but no positive result. I've also contacted the recipient (WES) in Canada in which they confirmed they've not seen anything. Any advise on this matter?

when it says; "'Receive item at post office'" does that mean that my order is now at the post office and I can walk there to claim it?

Please I sent my application documents to Germany on the 27th of April through Nipost office in Enugu state (the one at Okpara Avenue by the railway). I was not given any tracking no. And the school I sent it to, hasn't gotten the documents. What do I do?

Anywhere, I'll answer you I paid #650 per parcel and it took 3 weeks for it to get to Germany.
Please next time, be polite in making an equiry.

Sent a package from amarillo in Texas to Nigeria (first class mail) and up till now the page hasn't been received. It Wil be 5 weeks next week Friday. How can I know the status of the package... Cause it not trackable

It is not advisable use First Class Mail to send international packages. That is why it starts with LC which means local mail. It stops tracking when it leaves the U.S.
Ask the recepient to go down to the post office nearest to the address on the envelope and ask for it. Let them go with means of identification.

I need help and explanation, My auntie just me a package 12,8,2016 but sent it late in the evening, and she got tracking number that start with LC and I have been trying yo track it but not available but all am thinking is if the package as not yet be move all because she sent it late, but I read something on here that LC don't always deliver to Nigeria pls I really need the fact and truth, and can she still change the tracking or hold the parkage on Monday.......I have the receipt here with me pls and if there is any costomar service I can call for more information I need it....thaxxx to you all [color=#550000][/color]

Okay everyone's story differs.
I used NIPOST to send my transcript to Owerri (from Nasarawa). Apart from the sallah or moon-sighting public holiday which extended d days cos they said they wont open, it got there on time (about 3-4 days excluding weekends. Plus they even called d lecturer to inform her that her package had arrived.

My big bros also sent a package (letter) to U.K and t got there within 10working days.... yes u heard me right, 10 working days, plus their customer service number which I got from one other thread on nairaland was wonderful. The man at the other end of the line was just too "Customer-friendly". God bless him
