Reached roofing level finally, Allah Akbar.

Now to abandon the main house and flee back to the garage apartment and start sorting out the electricals and plumbing.

Congratulation, now that you join the club of home owners. You need to grow up in the way you respond to your critics. You never know, the neighborhood may choose to make you chairman of homeowner association one day. You must know how to get along with every character, that is my advice to you. Take care.

My major components will be exported from here and I intend to supervise the installation by local installers very closely and will work with them day in and day out.

I'm hoping for the best.

This guy may come in handy if for any reason you're not able to oversee the installation. His installation fee should be cheaper than a plane ticket.

I'll be contacting him when the time comes.

Chances are they will speak to the carpenter and cart some away when you are not there.

It still surprises me how brazen they can get. One came into the building and started removing wood from the fence capping. At this time it was fully occupied.

I say the following with no malice intended but I'm not responsible for how you interpret it.

1) I've long been a homeowner, many times over. I continue to give thanks.

2) I don't want anything to do with my neighborhood except to contribute to any and all social amenities that they create and that makes sense. I want my family and our house to blend into the landscape as if we're not there. Remember, it's a retirement.

3) I am who I am. I am uniquely me and anyone that doesn't like who I am or how I am should recognize that Asejire Dam is not fenced. Seun has over a million members, I ask those that I bother to go find someone else that has the mannerism they enjoy.

I am EgunMogaji aka EgunAnigilaje, and I am too old to "change" so I can cater to the whims of others.

Thank you for the link, very useful. I learnt quite a lot and I'm still on #15 of over 30 videos that he posted.

1) I consider solar instal as part of finishing and I MUST be on ground for each stage. I cannot trust another person to execute my ideas to a precise level.

2) I intend to keep busy by replicating what I have in my house for others later on during my retirement. Things like off grid solar power and total home automation. Experience, as they say, is the best teacher.

Thanks for keeping me in mind Sir.

Edit: one thing I learnt and that became immediately useful for me was that I never thought of putting my fridge on a timer. If you think of it the fridge is on 24/7. Why? Mine is now off from 10pm to 6am as controlled by my home automation system, were all asleep then and no one is opening the fridge so it'll stay cold. So it's off in a third of the day.

I monitor the electrical consumption in my house and I'm looking forward to my electrical bill in two months to compare. Again, thanks for sharing.

Hahahaha... When I found his videos a few months ago, I watched all videos in one night. I was most interested in his ability to put his split unit A/C's on solar. Everything thing I've read about A/C's on solar said it wasn't possible or efficient.

Very nice guy too. I exchanged a few emails with him and he was happy to answer my questions.

How many panels and watts do you think you will need for your entire system?

I won't know until I actually start living in there to calculate the loads. But I'll have extra panels on hand and will bang them in as needed or as a replacement for faulty ones.

There are manufacturing industries here in the USA that are operating totally on solar. Line electricity has absolutely no advantage.

Please, someone explain to me how this constitutes spam sad

Hope madam is warming up for the interior as you mentioned earlier. Ise ti fe kan won o!

I was watching "Holmes Makes It Right" and the plumbing used for the home was a home run system.

At first sight, I thought it was artwork, but then he confirmed that it was a home run system.

The roof has to go on now I 'm being advised on the main house before I should move over to the BQ. I wanted the BQ to be ready for Xmas but it's looking more like it will be next year now grin
This is why I like this place, we all pull each other along.

Wishing you more speed as you move on with this wonderful work, I am learning more things from this thread Sir. Hopefully, we shall come around to chop Christmas chicken in the house cheesy

FDA would probably never allow that to enter our shores grin

That is why I requested for the name... for you to be that highly shocked, it must be real good and looking at the ground too...
So after they cut the weed, then they spray it on the ground? Or just sprayed on the living weed to murder it/them?

NEVER, EVER. Too much chemicals it may kill all the animals around here... I mean like dogs etc...
