I guess "static sounds" means making noise-like sounds or not sounding properly as it used to.
Hope you didn't do a repair lately that included loosing out the components parts of your system? I believe it is not your fan since the noise only comes on when you play music.

Many laptops usually have two speakers usually found beneath the tiny holes of your motherboard up-casing .So compare the sound coming from both speakers to see if one of them is burst.
Best option is to inspect the speakers for damage. if you can't do this yourself, see an engineer. if you are in Lagos, reach me on the mobile in my signature.
Thanks

Simoly means what you downloaded doesn't match your system hardware.
I advice using the the driver update on your system to do the update. Go to device manager and click on the specific device you want to download/update.
On the general/driver/details/events menu click on "driver". Then click on update driver. the system will automatically search for its matching drivers and download it if there is an update.

I don't understand what you mean by USB not functioning well. Its either its working or not.

For your OS, the best thing remains getting a genuine windows for your system . If you still want to use the illegal one , get a windows 7 activation disc from those that are selling software, its very easy to use.

For your keyboard and even USB, go to device manager and check if they are working normally. if they aren't, drive them with the correct drivers.

my system dnt boot after on-ing it, it show me this mesage
NO BOOTABLE DEVICES-strike F1 to retry boot, F2 for set utility press F5 to run onboard

Try these simple steps:

1. Turn off the computer and wait five
seconds.
2. Press the Power button to start the
computer and repeatedly press the F10
key to enter the BIOS setup menu.
3. On the BIOS Setup screen, press F9 key
to select and load the BIOS Setup Default
settings.
4. Press F10 to Save and Exit.
5. Using the arrow keys select Yes and then
press Enter when asked Exit Saving
Changes?
6. Follow the prompts to restart your
computer.
If the computer restarts normally and the
error message does not display, you are
done.

After doing this if it still fails to boot, try RESEATING your hard drive. Most hard drives can be located by unscrewing one or two screws from the back of your laptop casing. Remember to remove the battery and AC adapter before doing this. Locate the hard drive, remove and then replace it. Turn on your computer and see if it boots.

If it doesn't , try replacing with another hard drive and see what happens.

First you will have to buy the screen. The price of the screen depends on the size of screen your elite book is using. The size of your screen is written on the back of the screen when it is taken out of its hinges or you can consult your user manual for the size .

Better still take your laptop whole to a tech shop and they will tell the size and price of its screen.
Then you will have to take it to an engineer to help you fix it in place.
a 15.6 inches screen cost 15000 thousand naira to the nearest thousand. an engineer can charge between 2k to 4k to help fix it( Lagos price). so you need find about the price in your state.

It depends on the phone you are using but I will use an android phone to explain to you.

Go to settings, click on more, then click on tethering and portable hotspot, click turn on wife hotspot first. Then click on WiFi hotspot to set it up. Click on setup WiFi hotspot. Input your username on network SSID as well as a password. save it .

Now click on the network icon at the bottom right corner of your computer and search for your newly created user name. click on it . It will prompt you to input the password. Do that and your laptop will start browsing from the Internet connection on your phone

I have a little problem with my laptop, I was using an Omatek laptop (4gb Ram, 320hdd,1.70ghz processor but issues with the motherboard arose and I couldnt find a replacement or fix the motherboard, so I took it to a technician here in Awka and he advised me to buy a HP laptop from him at a cheap price and exchange d hardware, this was d same advice given to me at neighborhood in Abuja, I took the advice and got the HP, he changed the Ram to my 4gb Ram and the hard disk to my old 320gb and formatted it, and updated the drivers but he didn't remove my old files, my problem is that the new HP now slows down, it starts working well then slows down to the extent that I can't play movies or songs, I dont know whether it's a hardware or software fault, pls I need help asap, I'm thinking of changing the os to windows10.
thanks for reading and helping out.

Did you notice this " slowness" when you first tested the HP laptop or it started recently?

Did you download and install any software recently?

Since you specifically mentioned you are unable to play songs or movies, go to device manager and check if the audio and video card are driven.

Do these and let's see how it goes.

if I start the laptop, it runs well ND smoothly and I'm able to play songs bt when I continue using it, it starts slowing down ND can't play d songs again,.

Likke i suggested before, check device manager to see if your video and audio card is driven.

If your video card is driven. Them the next culprit maybe your hard drive or OS( operating system).

if you have a hard drive utility tool, use it to scan your hard drive to know its health status. You can download a free one here: http://hddscan.com/download/HDDScan-3.3.zip. Run the SMART scan and you will have a table of figures with color indicators as results. The more red colors column against less green columns you have, the more critical and bad is the health of your drive.

Use it to scan your hard drive repair bad sectors. If your hard drive is in a critical health, the scan will reveal it and you may need to change your hard drive. if your hard drive is ok, then you may need to reload a new operating system. I recommend any of the windows 7 variants.

if this doesnt solve it, then the 'slowness' is a board problem specifically a VGA problem.

Good Evening. My hp15 core i3 laptop can see wireless network that is in the next room but cannot connect to it unless I bring the mifi device closer. Plus, I've tried updating the drivers by device manager, Windows update, hp official site, yet it's not giving me any latest driver update.

Weird observation! Well this is an issue of distance between your mifi device and your laptop.

First try connecting another device such as another laptop or a phone to your mifi and compare the distance at which it connects. This way you will be able to know if the problem is coming from your laptop or the mifi signal .
