I'm interested in participating in this project, as earlier stated. My areas are around alimosho LGA... Iyana paja, ikotun, isheri-igando, egbeda, lasu etc. Atleast for now I will start with this areas, starting from my locality.

There are lots of schools, banks and shops to visit in this areas. We can use this places to test run the project for now before expanding to other areas in alimosho.

Lexaydfg, Your preferred territory will have to exclude territories already allocated to others. Iyana Ipaja to Ikotun is too far for the volume of business we are going to do.

Please concentrate around Iyan Ipaja and let us know where you can add territories so that there is no conflict amongt participants. Kindly advise us as per where we can add to Iyana Ipaja.

In the first phase of this project we will select 20 Nairalanders living in different locations preferably in Lagos State. Specific demographic characteristics and other relevant variables will determine the territories to be so chosen for the first phase.

These people must be willing to learn and be inclined to develop their own F.M.C.G enterprise from scratch.

An initial 20,000 will be the seed capital required for this set-up. Please note that the entire capital is for purchase of goods only. It will not be paid into any individual account but will be used for the direct procurement of goods and must be paid directly into the designated company account when the preferred company is finally chosen.

When we have identified the participants, and they have all committed, we will then go ahead to commence the preliminary interaction here on the thread where we will talk about the basics of sales and marketing which hopefully will prepare us psychologically for the field sales.

I stay at isheri-igando, so it should be added and it not too far from egbeda.

Isheri-igando should be added.

AstuteJay,

Thanks for your good gesture. I take it as the beginning of the success of this venture. I don't take it lightly and remember we could always do something together when we find something mutually beneficial. Thanks.

Karin,

I've been a bit busy and could only reach my notebook this time. I'm grateful to God for little mercies. Like I said above I take it as a sign that we are on right course. I'm combing my area tomorrow for definite assessment.

Please who is this goldman777? Why is he accusing you of a scam? Do you know him before? Please keep my mind at rest. His comment is embarrassing.

goldman777,

I will appreciate if you throw more light on your accusation. You just barge into an otherwise great conversation to make such grave accusation? Did you go through the whole thread? She refused an offer by someone to invest in the business with N500,000 which she could have been in charge of disbursing it. N20,000 x 20 = 400,000 less than the N500,000 so I'm at loss. I demand a good explanation from you

Coming a bit too late in the day, but finally here all the same.

I expected this a long time ago.

I will nonetheless continue unperturbed. I will strive to take this project as far as I can go or as far as some people still appreciate it. I reiterate that at no point will you be asked to make payments to me.

No bank account publishing and my position to remain incognito is now irreversible.

I console myself with the dictum about silence being the most appropriate response in this circumstance.

Mr goldman777,

I honestly do not want to know what occassioned this allegation, the verisimilitude or its essence. What is of prime importance is that the " hypnosis " is paying off and will still payoff positively on most of her readers, presently and in future.

Coming out to make such vague, unfounded and unsubstantiated accusation puts a big question mark on your personality : it takes a scammer to know a scammer.

If you intend to craftily usurp the goodwill generated by this thread, you'll have to think it over again, because the calibre of people here are way beyond your gimmicks. Enough said!

You will now understand why at the very beginning I already preempted this kind of accusation; no contacts, no emailing, no telephoning. Nobody will railroad me off this thread. I will take this thread GOD WILLING to a logical conclusion. I did not request for money or even patronage. Neither will I ever request for same. It is not even possible. This is and will always remain an altruistic effort supported by like minded posters whom I have NEVER met and will NEVER meet offline.

I have requested for pictures from three different companies making these products which we intend to use as a launchpad.

I expect that they will send it in tonight and if I can find the 'how' I will attempt posting the pictures of the products. I was also able to convince the producers to let go pf their samples for us to taste between tomorrow and Friday.

Two of them have agreed so details will be provided for those who intend to taste these products and make further analysis on our behalf. I need volunteers in this regard as I am no longer residing in Lagos.

The samples are free and we will need to pay T.fare to get to the location, identify yourself and pick it up.

Please post your indications to volunteer please.

I don't have the location yet Pretty and old One but hope to get it early tomorrow.

Secondly, I really don't think everyone will need to taste it.

Those who do as a matter of commitment or proximity should share their experience wholly on the thread and everyone should draw from there.

Tomorrow (its tomorrow already) will be a great day.

I visited several schools yesterday and here are my findings:

*Government primary schools(at least the few I went) don't allow sales of snacks any longer. Said its not healthy eating habit for the little kids and so food vendors are restricted to offering just cooked food and fruits(saw one selling groundnut though).

*Government secondary school. A food vendor is ready to commence business with me as soon as I'm ready, (I pray that doesn't change)

*A private school (both primary and secondary) is interested as well.

*Few private schools asked for samples

*Other schools already have doughnut suppliers.

I thank God on my hits and need your advice/suggestions on the ones missed. I plan on continuing today by His grace.

Also, ..... As anyone taken Mafoluku yet?

@Olutoyin aren't you interested. It's just across Ajao estate and shouldn't be difficult to reach since you reside in ejigbo..... Just saying.

Yes Madam, I agree with you squarely.

I understand that your coverage does not include Akowonjo, Shasha and Idimu.

Please confirm. I will also like to know if you can actually cover the entire area by yourself.

Please state in clear details drawing on your experience so far.

Yes Karin, you are right. My coverage does not include Akowonjo, Shasha & Idimu. My coverage is from Egbeda around Masallachi round about to Baruwa (length) and to Okunola (breadth).

It is an area of estates including Gowon Estate, Shagari Estate, Abesan Estate & Baruwa.

Yes, I can cover the area by myself. Ayobo, Ipaja & Command can be taken over by someone else. Thanks.

Karin dear, you are doing a great work. And you have been a big blessing to me even though I have never met you. I am one of those you are going to read about at the end of this thread by the special grace of God. Please don't be distracted by "Sanballats & Tobiahs". You are doing a great work. God bless you & have a great day!

Basically the details karin gave:

That the doughnuts are jam filled
I supply the School vendors, who would sell at #50 to students, while vendors make their profit.

As regards my selling price, I took advantage of the present fluctuating dollar rate as the reason why I can't give a certain price, at least until next week when I get the products, but told them it'll be worth their while.

Of course not having a sample of the doughnut and also price would hinder marketing for now. My aim was to have a good knowledge of my potential customers now and lunch into full selling mode next week with the necessary details.

Note: Madam karin is yet to inform us of the purchase price, except if I missed it.

Karin,

This is the first thread I've encountered you and if I doubted your genuineness, I won't open up on my personal predicament here. It was all because I saw your transparency and whether my judgment was right or wrong I still stand by it. I wanted you to assure us and you've done that. If the guy is envious of your following, let him think harder

However, don't let him make you re-affirm anonymity which we have affected to a level. i sensed a masked anger in your comment. Though rightly so, if there is no opposition then it might as well not be worth the while. You were considering the probability of personal communication. I'm already in communication with two members here. I can't mention them except they give a nod.

Also if two won't be a crowd I'll like to join rose75 to taste the sample.

If it be of God and your personal conviction nothing can stop the initiative and like I said before, my testimony will be posted here.

Okay, I have two interested doughnut Suppliers right here on Nairaland dont even bother asking if I have met them, I haven't.
one goes by the Moniker nutrientrich with he r factory in Mowe/Ibafo axis. A great woman who has advanced qualifications in food Science and Technology and is currently selling doughnuts in Lagos through various points. Her response to my requests for samples was that we could get samples from:

SOB Ventures Ltd. Beside Omole Phase 1 Estate gate, along Ogunnusi Road. (Berger-Ogba axis).

The price is 1000 for a 25 pieces pack.

I am sure that the first two people that can pick it it up are Astutejay and Latestarter. At the moment I cannot say if the samples are free or not. I await her response to my email in this regard. I have her pictures already but still figuring how to upload it on Nairaland.

I really don't know how. maybe some one can help me.

The second Nairalander operates from Ikotun. She sells both chin-chin and doughnuts. Her moniker is lushylosh and she has been producing doughnuts and chin-chin for 4-5 months. Her doughnuts sell for N 400.00 for 12 pieces.
She is yet to send her pictures.

The third possibility is not on Nairaland.

They are in Akute axis and they sell 2 bags of 25 pieces for 1,900. I have pictures of their products but don't know how to upload them. He has offered to provide 50 pieces of the doughnuts as free samples but he only agreed to drop it in one location preferably around Ojodu or Agege. can we have a someone volunteer to collect it and share it among interested posters? Latestarter, Astutejay, rose 25, and others not too far from Ojodu please let us know.

The recommended retail price (RRP) is 50.00. that is what the consumer pays for the product. As a distributor you will have the products discounted for you so that you can make something for yourself. So between the Price you buy it for and the recommended retail price you have your profit lodged between. This profit will always look ridiculously small when looking at it from the angle of singularity. But when you look at it in terms of volume then you marvel at the profitability of the product. Welcome to FMCG, small margins per unit multiplied by large volumes.
