To be sincere! From this girl side of story, it is very difficult for me to conclude that the soldier is completely wrong, trust girls especially celebrity, when the guy approached her the first thought will be that he want to toast her, so she may be doing all dis their ''like seriously, i mean doooor'' and the soldier man is not in mood to play. I don't support any form of beating a lady but untill I hear from the guy.

I read many posts but stopped at yours. Whether she ignored him, she acted arrogantly, walked off, or whatever excuse some can use to justify the action. The slap, intimidation or even the intention to slap is wrong.

I've been hearing stuffs about the things they  do in Aba, Abia States but didn't believe until it happened to me tonight . I actually went to my friends graduation party with my younger sis  in my school, when all of a sudden some guys started fighting. I wasn't comfortable so we had to go out and we where about leaving when a guy approached me ( army officer not dressed in his uniform )  and asked me of the people with us; I was surprised because I was invited and didn't know much people in the party. But I didn't answer him then ,he told me he would slap me if I don't tell him. I was surprised and asked him why? Before I could recall what was happening he gave me a dirty slap. Now I'm wondering; do men go about slapping  any female they see? or the men in our country have lost the respect they have for women? It is a big shame for a soldier in the Nigerian  army to act with such irresponsible behaviour. Here, some guys were fighting, the soldier probably came to make peace...... He asked her a simple question for security reasons... She didn't respond. He threathened her and all she could do was questkon his authority... ''why?''..

She got what she asked for... Soldiers hate time wastage.

I'm not pretending they aren't hot-headed, but lets not ignore some glaring facts, would she ignore the man if he was on uniform? She's a beauty queen and arrogance with pride comes with that most times, why can't she just politely answer the question, it wouldn't make her shorter, this whole argument is inclined on the uniform thing, imagine what she would have done if the man isn't a soldier she would have made him pay and she would skip that part whenever she's gloating on social media

See why Nigeria as a country has a long way to go. Why can't we be civil must we result to force even when the situation on ground doesn't warrant it. Some people here saying the girl deserved the slap goes to show that aside our leaders the citizens are also a problem.

The girl being rude or ignoring the soldier does it pose a threat to life and the environment? Trained soldiers react with force only when there is a threat to life and the environment. In a reasonable society the man would have introduced himself as a soldier and even presented an ID card before asking her a question.

People ranting here do you just answer strangers who come up to you asking you questions.

Hey, I think your comment is more stupid. Nigerian soldiers have been brutalizing innocent citizens from time immemorial and we don't seem to care. Being an ex beauty queen does not make her special. Next time she should channel her grievances to the appropriate quarters and not the internet.
