after fermentation..it should not be more than 3 days. the concentration gets intense..and the taste too.

like I said..the easiest way out is to actually eat properly and also get rested well. Stay stress free. you'll be fine

Well, never done it. My dad is a medical Practitioner, and he was very reluctant and never allowed me to do it. I know a couple of people who have done it, It was not exactly pleasurable, and if someone who is not a specialised gastro doctor, it might have side effects.

Endoscopy does not cure ulcer. Its just a process of passing down a a tube down your stomach so that images will be taken and the Doctor can see the extent of damage, and do a proper medical prescription. If your pain is really bad, and the doctor feels he needs an endoscopy, fine.

I have watched some endoscopy videos on youtube.

In the end, its your call.

Either ways. Stay healthy. truth is if you watch your diet, Stay away from stress and anxiety, You'll be fine.

All the best

Well, I took this therapy a while back. and i took it for about 2 weeks so that it would be effective.

I know it can be difficult to tolerate at some point, but it was really effective. together with watching what you eat. Stay of fried food, and soft drinks especially. Try to find healthier alternatives. Food like fried rice, eba, fried meat or fried fish, corn, chips, and nuts should be avoided as much as possible. let me give an illustration, its like having an open sore. Till it heals, you'll want to avoid allowing any rough substance or material rubbing on it.

Takea and stay healthy..

Thanks for your response. Please one last question. What if one decides to take the unripe plantain raw without fermenting in water. Do you think it would work? I just bought some unripe plantains this evening and looking for the method that will give me the quickest results.

Don't know about that. its actually d fermented water from the plantain that for the healing..and you have to take it for at least 2 to 3 days before it actually has a major effect. so if you are looking for a urgent relief..You might have to take somtin else.

well your health should be more important really. You can manage stress. make up your mind about it. make up your mind never to let anything at work get to you. that's the first step. then try as much as possible not to get anxious about things no matter what.

I know this is an old post but still i will reply. I was diagnosed of PUD i.e Excessive Bowel Gas which is also termed Ulcer.

Mine was caused by drugs and i suffered severe stomach pain and heart palpitation.

Anyway my doctor prescibed a drug called HeliKit, its a triple therapy eradication of ulcer made india. Lot of people have taken it and they feel better. Their ulcers were cured.

One thing people don't understand is that ulcers are wounds caused by either bacteria or excessive stomach acid. Once the ulcer heals, if you continue eating foods and fruits that causes stomach acid, your ulcer will return because freasher wounds will reoccur.

If you are suffering from Ulcer, talk to your doctor, he will precribe HeliKit for you, combined with triple therapy. You must take the drug for 2 weeks uninterrupted, then after you will purchase omniprazole and take it for 4 weeks uninterrupted.

On the course and after taking the drugs, do yourself a big favour and avoid foods and fruits that triggers stomach acid.

Foods and Fruits to avoid:
Orange, Apple, Pineapple, Cucumber, Beans, Fried Foods, Tomatoes, eating raw Onions, Red Meat, Coffee, Carbonated Drinks like Pepsi, Coca Cola, Alcohol, Cigarettes and Full Milk.

Foods and Fruits to eat:
Banana, pawpaw, Brown rice, Chicken, Turkey, Fish, Green Vegetables, Carrots, Water Melon, Plaintain (Not Fried), Egg, SoyMilk, Yoghurt, Yam, Okro Soup etc.

Remember always eat light food. Eat 2 hours before bed time and drink 1 litre of water every morning you wake up before eating.

You are ulcer free!!!

Don't forget to PRAY. My sister got healed miraculously, including me.

Just a young man of 26, im also xpriencing both stomach and chest ulcer. I‘v seen several doctors, just like you they‘ve always prescribing the same omeprazole and co for me. My biggest problem with these medications is dehydration which i seriously dislike. Tnx 4 your natural remedies i‘ll try them and see. Another thing with mine is that whenever it comes up it causes palpitation which also a big problem 4 me. As i write this right now i‘m on drugs which i mentioned before.

So sorry, it happened to me when i took an anti malaria drug Camosunate, i had a severe heart palpitation and i felt my heart will jump inside my belly. Next day, i went to the hospital and i was diagnosed ulcer, i didn't believe it so i went and did tests on my own from Xray, Blood tests to overule HIV, Urine and Culture test, and all shows am healthy except that i have Excessive Bowel Gas (PUD) and i was placed on anti ulcer drugs which was working fine and the palpitation stopped but..Nobody warned me about fruits containing acid such as orange, apple and cucumber. Once i take orange or apple, oh boy see palpitation.

My dear i didn't need anyone to tell me to google foods and fruits unfit for ulcers, since i had that knowledge i have not had the palpitation again because i avoided all foods and fruits that triggers attack of ulcer.

So my point? Ulcers don't normally cause heart palpitation except when triggered by certain food and fruits, drugs or if the ulcer is bleeding which can cause make someone anaemic which prompts irregular heartbeat also called palpitation.

Another source is depression or panic attack that comes with having ulcer attack, it can cause your heart to palpitate, but its not a cause for worry, but its best to go for tests to rule out any other disease that might trigger palps.

I believe that the reason why your ulcer lingers is because you haven't make some lifestyle changes like diet, food and drinks. As long as you are taking foods or alcohol or drinks that worsens ulcer, then your ulcer will not be cured.

Ulcer is curable, you just have to make some lifestyle changes, and take your approriate meds and most importantly, ask God to rebuke the ulcer and let there be a great calm in your health.

Thank you!

eyah.. i would suggest u take it easy on yourself. instead of doing press ups, take plenty of water, at least 4-5 litres per day. then try other forms of exercise like walking. then dont give room for anxiety like someone as writely said. focus on living healthy, and loving yourself. it might be hard but dont focus on reducing the belly by force. you would put so much pressure on yourself and it would lead to anxiety.
take more water, more of vegetables and lots of fruits, especially apples and bananas.
all d best.. it is well with you.

I agree with you. Anyway Most people treat ulcer, not knowing they have GERD. Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) of the esophagus. It has similar symptoms with Peptic Ulcer bit requires same or different approach to treatment. This is why it is important that everyone go for test, confirm then start treatment and avoid stress including stressful exercise that can trigger ulcer pains.

Press up is not good for ulcer patient.

You just confirmed my suspicion in the part where you said your ulcer was caused by camosunate. I took artesunate which has the same components as the one you mentioned sometime in June to treat malaria. I was healed of the malaria, but the drug gave me serious side effects, one of which is the ulcer I'm battling now. But the problem with mine is that I have taken almost all the ulcer drugs mentioned on this thread, yet no headway. I have even gone the unripe plantain route. Still, no positive result. I have also tried honey with aloe vera. Nothing. I am just hoping that one day the ulcer will go away.
Thanks for your contribution to this thread sha.

Sorry about the issue. But what exactly are you doing wrong? stressing? Eating wrong meals? drinking soft drinks?

Like I have always said, and i have experienced, Ulcer takes time to heal. Its not an instantenous cure. You must give yourself time, eat healthy, and be extremely disciplined with what you take in without compromising. For everytime you compromise, and eat fried foods, or drink caffeine, or soft drinks, Your ulcer will relapse regardless of the cures, or remedies you are using. And after a while, the Ulcer could go resistant to drugs and remedies.

Drink water liek your life depends on it. Water helps to dilute the acid being secreted in the tommy. This acid irritates the ulcer and causes pain. Drinking lots of water dilutes the acid and reduces its irritation. if by chance you eat a meal that could irritate your tommy, always make sure you have a go-to antacid that you can chew on or drink e.g gelusil/antacids.

Also, observe your eating and behavioral patterns and note what irritates your ulcer. Some people will say pepper does not cause ulcer pains, but for me it does. Dont just listen to people. Find out what works for you and stick to it.

If you have any other issues, pls send me a dm. I'll be willing to reply to any comment

Dont give up. You can overcome Ulcer.

Your last sentence just gave me hope. I'm surely not giving up.
I'm not stressing myself so much per se. I have long stopped taking all the things you listed above. I have noticed that skipping meals worsens my pains. Like Friday last week, I was out of my work place to a distant part of town. I couldn't find anywhere to buy food or even snacks. Hence I had to miss lunch. I returned home around 7pm and immediately took something. The next day that was Saturday and even yesterday was hell for me. I can't really place what the problem is with mine. The pain do start an hour or 2 after meals and keeps worsening until I take the next meal. The pain would reduce immediately upon eating to my fill and would start again after an hour or two.
I'm just hoping to find a permanent solution soon. The thing has really reduced me to the shadow of my former self!

Hmm. I understand you. There are times that it just happens like that. But its not an everyday thing. After such long hours of not eating, try not to eat anything hurriedly. Look for something soft and calm first to soothe your tommy. Warm tea, or Warm water before an actual meal. Then dont eat too heavy. Eat light and in bits.

Dont give it a chance to affect your life, and keep positive. If possible have Biscuits, or something mild with you to eat on those long days. Try as much as possible not to skip meals. You'll be fine.. take care

Oh my. I've been suffering ulcer for almost 4months and my neighborhood told me to drink hot water with salt in it or sometimes let me take kremil s tablet. Yes, it lessen the pain I feel but it doesn't heal. I didn't know that there are foods to be avoided , yesterday I was happily eating roasted corn and right now I can't do anything because my stomach was struggling and I felt dizzy.. I thought it didn't melted there but instead it makes my intestine bleed.. The foods and drinks to be avoided was the food I always eat every single day. I'm such a fool. From now on I'll avoid as much as I can .. Ulcer really sucks.

Thanks for posting this. Ive always search in internet until I found these.

If you only know, I'm craving for oranges right now, but I can't eat it. Well its for my own good though.thanks again.

Hmmn, thanks Geekybabe. I'm impressed you are still on this thread more than 3 years after you started it. I just stumbled on it in my search for a more effective cure for ulcer. Mine has not gotten as bad as yours but is nevertheless really uncomfortable and i am afraid of it bringing any complications. I was diagnosed about two years ago and have taken the standard drugs on and off with scanty improvement. Thanks for all these tips. I will definitely apply them and shall come back with my testimony.

Pls stick to your medications and try to complete it, abd give yourself time to heal. Dont overwork your body organs into processing different things. My remedies were used after i got tired of repeated medications and its effect on my body.

The most important thing is to follow your medication properly and also follow an healthy diet. Others have tried this natural remedy and they didnt have the same feedback that i did.

Take your medication, and most importantly make healthy choices. Thanks
