I took this up to meet d furniture guy.trying to analysis how he spent 18m that a client is interested. I tell u d guy is trying to convince me that they use maldini marble bla bla...he claimed d actual sum is 12m minus profit.

Well, from my observation of the project is that d guy has somewhere where this thing dey flow this is s same site I met a guy that did wall screeding for a thousand!

It was done in Benin. I actually need the guy to do some kitchens for me in Lagos but he doesn't , he is still thinking about it.

Also please note the kitchens in Benin were done in 2013.

Marble can be stained to what ever colour you want.

The reason why Nigerians get duped a lot is that they think for something to be genuine it has to be very expensive. Not in all cases.

That's not marble ma'am... not just because it isn't expensive, but because it isn't marble.

What you have in your picture is a granite top.
The formation and physical characteristics of both are not the same, neither are thier appearances.

The First picture is marble in different colors.
The picture below that is granite in different shades aswell.
You can see they are quite dissimilar .

80% of what is touted as marble here is either faux marble or granite. Real/Pure marble is rare and very difficult to maintain

Actually, what this person has as countertop is laminate countertop that they make them to look like granite. Just take a look at the edges. The bottom part normally look like wood but top looks like granite. Just google laminate countertop and see for yourself.

I know what laminate floors or counter tops are, the laminate sheets are glued to existing hard surfaces to imitate wooden, granite or marble finishes/appearances.

I doubt she would mistake that for marble, since she was there during its installation... I also recall her saying she still has bits of the stone , so that rules out a laminate product, even though it looks very much like one.

Here in Nigeria most people preferred granite to marble bcs most marble do change colour, mostly if you use white or cream colour it will soak oil and turn something reddish in colour, although it happens to China low grade granite mostly rosabeta and rosapink, but it takes time before this can occur, something like 3 or more yes
