Uninstall all Antivirus and make sure nothing is connected to the laptop except charger and try again or
Google the error code and see if you can know know the actual cause

If all fail, use the Iso to create a bootable usb drive and upgrade through BIOS.

P.S: Clean install would have been best but with the apps installed, I see it's not an option

What's your system specs? What build of Windows 10 did you buy?
After installation, did you make sure to install ALL drivers in device manager? especially the display driver. This should fix the sleep mode ish

Reinstalling won't fix anything. Go to windows store and update your apps. It couldn't download during installation cos you don't have a strong network

Also running windows update is always advised after upgrading to windows 10

4GB RAM 500GB HDD, Intel pentium,1.99GHz

I bought windows10 X64 (5 in 1) .
I installed the drivers.

how do I fix it pls.

You might have bought the first build of Windows 10 with issues. Download the one on first page and install. After, connect to Internet and install latest drivers.

1. AUTOMATIC WINDOWS UPDATE
This, obviously tops the list of "Reasons why you should not upgrade to Windows 10 yet" found on many websites. Here is the way around to turn it off. (Only problem is this does not work on the Home edition but every other edition works fine). I'll edit to add trick for Home edition users later

To turn off automatic updates; press Windows Key + R, type "gpedit.msc" and press enter, Navigate to
Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Windows Update.
Locate the "Configure Automatic Updates" setting in the right pane and double click it. Set it to "Enabled" and select your preferred setting. Save the change.
P.S: Windows update seems to notice the change after you click "Check for Updates"

If you didn't do anything to it then I suspect the driver updated itself. Go to device manager and roll back the driver

It did not roll back o and I checked events and saw no updates done.. Pls any other solution??

Discharge your capacitors. Remove your battery and charger then press and hold power button for 2 minutes. Boot it up and check again

It happens sometimes. Even after installing windows 8. There's nothing you can do. Your laptop will still run as usual tho

that could help too and you should check if you turned off Ur wifi by pressing the wifi button or key on the laptop,o f not try the above method,it Should solve your prob
