1. POF not required
2. Age does not drop points significantly
3. PH.D and Msc. get the more points than B.Sc.
4. An applicant gets extra bonus point if his or her occupation is listed in the short and long term skills shortage list

8. IELTS score band atleast 6.5 is accepted for PA and 5.5 for spouse
9. Application fee appears to be cheaper than that of Australia and Canada
10.You can get points depending on your number of years of work experience

Cons

1. if your occupation is not on the immediate skilled and long-term skilled occupation shortage lists you get no bonus points
2. IELTS or other tests are required for proof of english but no points awarded at all
3. English language evidence requirements (tests) apply to partner and any dependent children over the age of 16.

You are correct about the absence of POF thing but it's far more expensive than Canada in my opinion; Your POF is yours after all. But, do a little search on those who have migrated to NZ, the last time I checked, each migrant spent about N1,000,000.00. You can search for yourself. Don't forget that the EOI you submit also expires every six months...

Remark is the best option. This is a wonderful result asides the writing. You will need to pay 15k through bank draft and go to their office within six weeks.

I requested for an EOR since 7th September......I am yet to get a result.

I wrote the exam in Saudi Arabia and juxt arrived lagos few days ago for 2months vacation.

So can j apply for the Remark from lagos embassy? Is it allowed? Will they need the TRF? As I haven't gotten it yet!!

Go to the nearest british council and request foran EOR. fill d forms and submit along with a bank draft of the amount required in your currency......
on the average it takes 6-8 weeks. mine took 12weeks.

why request for a remark when the minimum overall band falls within the threshold or am i missing something? because i read it on the canadian website that an applicant language score must be average of 7 band. Gurus in the house should please correct me if am wrong o

I've missed this thread die,since I tried quebec and didn't work at the time. I sat for another ielts in October and I had L 9,R 9, W 7, S 7,5. ... This took my mark from 438 to 478... got my ITA on November 16th.

Although my plans to travel has changed, this is to encourage people out there to never stop working and fighting for your dreams.

From previous comment, you need your TRF to request for a remark. They should dispatch it to you soon, you may find out how long this takes from the Saudi guys.

Hello house, been a silent follower of this thread. We finally got our ITA last night. This came 2 days after we received Ontario nomination.
