I would encourage you to choose funaab. A friend who happened to have finished before u in the same FPI told me about 3 days ago that funaab offered her admission for this same course on merit. She wouldn't lie to me, I believe she got it on merit. However, if you have good connection, it would be a plus on ur side.
Noted...thanks

I know most of us are currently on IT but this thread will go a long way in preparing our minds toward the journey ahead, like schools to select, mode of selection etc

Share the school you graduated from, the ones you're aspiring for, course and grade.

Example:

School: The Polytechnic Ibadan. ND level

Schools in view(s): OAU, LAUTECH

Course: Computer engineering

Grade: Distinction

Oya, Diploma guys, Cambridge, IJMB, degree guys, former polytes (Ex DE-ites) welcome on board. Lastly, if you've been trying before don't relent THIS IS YOUR YEAR, just believe.
With your distinction. please goto UI. Tank guru9ja later

You tried UNN electrical engineering? UNN is competitive so is your course. I guess 2.13 is lower credit. Am I right? If so, I've helped with a list of schools that accept lower credit.

University of Calabar, UNICAL.

Anambra State University, ANSU,
Uli (and Igbariam).

Niger Delta University, NDU,
Wilberforce.

Igbinedion University, Okada.

University of Jos, UNIJOS.

Nasarawa State University
(NSUK), Keffi.

Enugu State University of Science
and Technology, ESUT.

University of Ilorin, UNILORIN (for
History and Performing Arts).

Usman Dan Fodio University
Sokoto (UDUSOK).

University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN)

Osun State University (UNIOSUN)

Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu
University formerly Anambra State
University (ANSU)

University of Maiduguri
(UNIMAID)

Nasarawa State University
(NSUK), Keffi

Umaru Musa Yar’Adua University,
UMYU

Federal University of Technology,
Minna, FUTMINNA (But VERY COMPETITIVE, a friend of mine chose them this year with Lower credit and had 281 in their post DE exams, but no admission yet)

NOTE: Some of the above listed schools also accept upper credit for some courses. you can also check jamb 2016 brochure for more school.

Bro, to be on the better side I'll advise you to buy JAMB form and choose a different school from the ones you'll choose for DE.
or better still. Apply for PT into those aforementioned institution. If u wana gain admission through jamb. Ur Olever result should b ok

Hello nairalanders, i finished with a GP of 3.29 in Science Laboratory Technology from Poly Ibadan. Which school do i chose between U.I, OAU and UNILAG.
I think 3.29 is lower credit, if obtained from poly Ibadan.

UI, OAU and UNILAG do not accept lower credit.

Try the list of schools in page one of this thread that accept lower and obtain JAMB form.

Before considering UNILAG, do you have further mathematics in your O'level? Is your O'level obtained at a sitting?

If the answer to the above questions is NO. Then, OAU or FUTA is your sure bet.

A guy last year said OAU normally accept Laspotech students but I don't know if it is true (he finished from your school and was admitted for electrical electronics engineering). You can check last year OAU direct entry thread to verify.

Or try LASU, OAU admits to 200level both ND/HND, MINNA, ATBU.

I believe I am in the right section. I'm 22 and a graduate (B.Sc Physiology). I'll be passing out from NYSC by March 2017. So I visited home for Xmas and my dad came up with two wonderful ideas grin. He said once I'm done with service, I'll pick a Direct Entry form for Medicine & Surgery and also an M.Sc form for Physiology. He has promised to sponsor whichever comes my way. So my question here is...which do I go for? Which should I take as a priority assuming I'm offered admission in both disciplines.

Honestly bro. Admission through DE into any university in Nigeria starting from 2017 will be so difficult due to the fact that all this schools have started selling ijmb and jupeb form.

And by the end of both jupeb and ijmb calender year. They will admit their students into 200l ignoring external DE candidates from the polytechnic.

I did a survey in osun state university Part time programme and I learnt that almost all the 300l students are both Hnd and ND graduate which all have different stories to tell, ranging from applying for DE through jamb so many times but all went into futility.

All schools are now competitive including Futminna which people are even running to now but if u sit tight and pass futa and oau post DE exam, u are in bro.

Ma advise is u take a PT programme.
