Hi, i'm currently experiencing a black screen of death on my PC and i don't know the way out. I've browsed for possible solutions but none worked Even safe mode no gree open and key combinations isn't helping. I experienced the Blue screen of death few days ago but i was able to fix it by booting using last good known configuration. But this one now, all hope seems lost any help

Hi, when it's on the black screen... type ctrl+shift+esc... it'll open task manager... On the upper corner of task manager.. click on file and click on run a new task... on the task search space, type google.com and make sure you check the box below the search space..... give me feedback

Please I recently installed windows 8.1 on my hp8440p, ever since the speakers stopped working and shortcut keys like Ctrl, ESC, shift keys no longer respond.

3 years is really a long time. Did you remove the battery for the period of that three years.

If you remove the battery and plug in the charger, then power on, does it power?

You can try this. Get the battery out, press and the power button after removing the battery and charger.
then plug battery and run it to windows.

if i remove the battery and plug the charger it doesnt work... i tried wat you just said i shld do but it aint working..but other part of the laptop is working cos i touch a metal near were i connect USB and its kind of shocking my hand.its only the screen that is not showing any light..

if the USB is shocking your hand doesn't mean the laptop is ON or working. The next thing you need to do now is see an engineer. if you are in Lagos and you need one, contact me.
