@ udysweet u r right, I stay in Apongbo where they sell wine. And even Balogun is of different type where dey sell clothes, wine, weavon, etc. we also av obanikoro where dey sell very cheap jewelries. Oke-Arin and Ebute-ero for provisions and sweets. Provisions sold outside Ebute-ero is cheaper Dan inside. We have Gorodom market where dey sell coolers, unbreakable plates, cooking utensils etc, Mandilas 4 shoes, shirt, high grade okrika shirt etc. Ebute-ero under bridge for Aba shoes not like Mandilas. We have over hundred(100) markets inside Lagos island depending on wat to buy, maybe sewing machine, motor parts, etc. So Idumota is just a very small part in Lagos island. So d person DAT post d topic should shine his or her FACE and everyone oooooooo

Wo gba sibe o Jare, grin grin grin
You are so right, I remember that under ebute ero bridge, I have bought nice shoes there a few times, more than a decade ago. I totally forgot that place still existed, lol. This your own sef is more explanatory. I go copy

For school bags, immediately you come down from Carter bridge, turn to your right and ask. It is near the area they sell fancy rubber slippers.

Gbajumo axix of Balogun market..

The next corner beside Great Nigerian House on Martin street ...you find an extremely crowded market...

Walk into the market...you are already in Gbajumo street where you will get lost in the world of shoes and sandals..

Be careful there..lts sooooo crowded..narrow and the traders are touchy...because of their extremely small spaces and stalls

Mandilas is your destination...

Are you saying there are residential properties in the market area?
Pardon my asking but how did you survive the noise and "rowdiness".
By the any government that manages to decongest that place and move or create proper shop spaces like the one at Tejuosho will do us a great favour.

Docemo is thesame as dosunmu (yoruba call it dosunmu..)

Wedding gown and accessories are everywhere on Nnamdi Azikwe street...

As sson as you get to ldunmota..trek to Eyin Eyo and you are already on Nnamdi Azikwe street.

Virtually all shops along the road and even upstairs are wedding dress and accessories shops and showrooms..

In fact youbwill have a hard time choosing considering the number of shops and quantity of dresses and accessories..

As for baby items and layette..just enter ANY corner from Nnamdi Azikwe on the right side and you are already in docemu/dosunmu street...ln fact as soon as you step into docemu street..sales girls for shops where baby items are sold in VERY LARGE quantities will start dragging you to shop with them especially if you are a woman..Just follow any of them and you will be tired of buying baby and maternity items..
Happy shopping

l spent my young and teenage years on Bridge street ..in fact one of the old buildings facing ldunmota pedestrian bridge was my home before it was rebuilt..

And yeah ldunmota and the entire Lagos lsland may be extremely busy in the day but it is a different place when the traders close shops.. you wont believe it was a place where you couldnt put two feet down a few hours earlier..

You should see those commercial areas on sunday..lol

ln fact we dried our clothes on their market shelves and do laundry in front of their shops..

And quite alot of bastard kids collecting owo ita were concieved in front of some of those shops at night.. No kidding

Just open your window at night and you see all..
