I really agree with you.JR is the most overrated 3-point shooter in NBA. He's too inconsistent to be paid that huge amount of money.
Liggins and shump are doing fine and I just hope cavs could get a veteran point guard and someone that can protect the rim.
happy new year u'rall. This is the most amazing basket ball forum in the world. U guyz rock.

Talking of cavs getting a veteran point guard. Its been my dream to see Chris paul in Cleveland one day one day.

U heard it hear first.

Happy new year Lola, i hope you had a blast last night.

Isaiah is playing hard, aggressive and fearless. At the start of the season, i questioned his superstar star claim because he was not taking over games, however, the tide has changed especially during the 4th quarter of games.

He was the Eastern conference player of last week, he should be on everyone's top 7-10 MVP list.
I told you you were being too hard on him. That guy is 5'9 men. I have like 4 inches on him and I can't even dream to take over a game like he does.

My MVP remains James Harden

Chris Paul? Don't you think that's too much to ask?

At all. At all. Age-wise, he's passing his prime. Irvin would never be a pure play-maker. Cris is 31, may just need a ring at this age. I actually think he would make cavs far more entertaining than they currently are.
Factor in the relationship between him and Bron.

In fact,CP would make any team more entertaining because of his play-making skills but I don't think he would want to be tagged a 'ring chaser' or 'LeBron ass licker'
Another thing is that CP has done so much for the game and I don't see him taking a back seat in favor of kyrie.
Re: The NBA Begins by Nobody: 7:09am On Jan 04, 2017
If anything, last night's duel between the two 2nd best conference teams proved how utter tripe the EC is. I mean, just look how the Spurs decimated the Raptors. It makes me angry because the Cavs would get another very easy run through the ECF and turn up fresh against whoever manages to win the Western slugfest.
By the way the Isaiah fan boys would really be smirking their beards now, yes he has had an MVP week , but over this season, i'm still with Harden. So far.

Only those whose favorite isn't in the Eastern Conference will agree or relate.

was just saying if if cavs needed to add a veteran point guard, cp3 would have come in handy. Besides, I c kyrie developing into a pure scorer for cavs on the longterm.

Don't know if there would be enough ball to go round for all 3. Somebody's game is certainly going to suffer.

San Antonio can blow out any team. My problem with most teams in the East is they have no heart. Based on talent alone I have said it repeatedly that Toronto have no business being the 2nd seed. We have the serial underachievers (Detroit, Naptown) The accidents we knew were waiting to happen (Chicago, New York)
The good thing with a tougher conference (the upper 3 or 4 teams) is how battle ready you would be by the time you would get to the Finals. The Warriors didn't lose because they had a tougher road to the Finals. They lost cos Steph didn't show up.

On a sidenote. I die a little inside when I see Crowder for the Celtics and remember he was one of those Cuban traded for that locker room cancer and troglodyte Rajon Rondo. And then there is the perma-crock Bogut who can get injured while taking a shyte

Brogdon does not get the hype and media attention he deserves, i guess its because Milwaukee is a small NBA market. He is well grounded on both ends of the court. Brogdon is well grounded in Tony Bennett's style of play, he is very discipline with possession and on defense.

not at all at all. Chris Paul is in the mold of john Stockton. He has never been a Ball hog. Neither is lebron.
Irvin would be a scoring point guard or parmanently take j.R's place in shooting guard position.
I wouldn't even be bothered with the average height of their back Court.
Late 90's utah had 3 not so tall point guards taking turns and they did very well. Talking of Stockton, jeff hornacek and Howard Eisley coming from the bench.

Sixer's did the same with Iverson and Eric snow.

Anything to move Irvin to scoring guard or off screen shooting guard would be of help to cavs.
Cos I don't trust j.r or shupert in that role/position on the long term. J.r is too streaky.

a veteran changing teams at 32, 33 years of age wouldn't really be seen as a ring chaser as such.
To me, cp3 has long taken a back seat even in clippers.
MHO though.

The Bucks are quite an intriguing team with Giannis and Parker and I observed that Brogdon dude over the last few games. Very smooth and efficient passer of the ball and can score too. Their main weakness is at Center

Ball hog is different from ball dominant. You can dominate and demand the ball without hogging it. What I'm saying is guys like Lebron, Kyrie, CP thrive on the ball. They need their touches and it would be interesting to see how it plays out when your SF/PF also sees himself as a facillitator. Kyrie isn't a Steph or Klay who can curl off screens and catch and shoot over sustained periods.

I think size would also be a problem. Backcourts are getting notably bigger these days. It would create real matchup problems unless their lineups/minutes are staggered

that cavs haven't used kyrie as a catch and shoot player doesn't mean he can't. Any player who can shoot efficiently off the dribble would shoot much better off screens or off-catch. FACT.
Just that using kyrie that way would kill/hide his ball handling skills.

U are right though, it would create mismatches. But then again, offence trumps defence.

well true.
But i don't see clippers getting any much better than they are for next few seasons. There's no dorminant scorer amongst their big three, which is very unusual, when u call big-threes.
He should have paid his dues if he decides to leave at 32, 33,34.

IMHO

Its unfortunate. That's largely on them and the massively overrated Doc Rivers. That Clippers team rose to the spotlight waay before the Warriors. They have no excuses

The criminally overrated DeAndre Jordan is also another key reason why that team will never be great. Still on still there's enough for that team to reach a WCF at the least

I don't think that's a given. And I am positive it would hurt Kyrie's game badly playing off screens, catching and shooting. Plus its a criminal waste of his handles and the sheer amount of pressure he puts on the defense when he is on the ball.

A Kyrie and an ageing Chris Paul backcourt would get torched and smoked beyond recognition. Who would guard Klay?

U bust my head with this post. ROTFLMAO.

Deandre isn't really overrated. We HV seen forwards and center whos specialties are just in defense do very well in some teams.

Having those 3 in one team is just a bad mix.
Take away Griffen and replace with a more proficient forward like Paul George, they would get to finals.

They just need to trade one of them.

Jordan is overrated abeg. He owes his career to Chris Paul. Whiteside was very spot on with that all he does is catch lobs line. Ok he is a good rebounder but that's about it.

Take away Griffin ke? Did you see what he did two seasons ago vs the Spurs and Rockets?

Jordan na liability late in games and has refused to improve offensively. Either at FTs or acquiring some sort of post game. Clippers aren't doing shyte with him. Belee dat

Of course, kyrie wouldnt be used the same way anytime the offence goes thru him. This would only serve as an advantage for cavs, as opponents wouldn't know who amongst Lebron, kyrie and cris Paul would take the shot at the buzzer or clutch time.
Guarding klay may be a problem though. But shorter players have advantages of keeping taller players away from the ball before it gets to them. Except if the taller player receives the ball via posting up on the shorter one. Which would not be the case on every play.
