You really did not understand ayla1's question hence your question.

Read that post again
My question is, for example counting the 28days.

And the time left is so close to resumption and the only option is to apply early, just to be on a safe side. Suppose today is the 25th day, is it possible for me to apply today, and print out the bank statement on the 28th day?? And remember it's Super Priority Visa, which I heard it takes 2-3days

OR

If for example today is the 28th day, is it possible to print out the bank statement and apply for the visa today or must it be after the 28 days??

Justwise, I'm just confused and I need to clear this off my mind... Please, don't be upset with my questions, just need to be on a safe side.

I definitely understand your worries as I felt exactly this way when i was in that fix. I think the ECO would not be considering the condition of the statement alone. If you have every other thing in place and the required amount is intact( I dunno if they check), then he/she won't have any reason to refuse the application.

However, I would advise to at least wait until the 28th day before submitting online. What I did was to carry out a transaction on that 28th day so as to reflect that it was already 28 days, you can then print the statement any other day before physical submission at the centre.

I will advise that we should only do this when there's no other option.

PS: This is totally based on my experience

FULL TRANSCRIPT

Application Submitted online - 7th December, 2016.
ABUJA VAC Centre Appointment Date -14th December, 2016.
Received by UKVI in Sheffield - 15th December, 2016.
Notification mail for documents dispatched - 6th January, 2017.
Picked up - 9th January 2017.
Issued since - 2 January, 2017 but no decision mail.

- Undergrad.
- Uni of Beds

QUESTIONS ASKED

- What's your name and birth date
- Name of course
- Why ain't you doing foundation
- What's your qualification
- Full meaning of WASSCE grin
- When was it released
- Course start date
- Why you chose the course
- What you intend doing in the future after the completion of your course
- Name of University
- Location
- Campuses
- Why you chose the University
- Accommodation plans and exact location
- Means of transportation that would convey me from my accommodation to the University
- Cost of Bike and rates of Bus pass
- Which other places did you apply
- Who's your sponsor
- Duration of the Bank Statement

"Please confirm that you understood me clearly"
and I confirmed and obliged.

FEW MISTAKES/ERRORS MADE
- I forgot to include my dad's consent letter, however, I scaled through probably because he was also applying for a 5 year visit Visa and I had included that he would be traveling with me which he indicated too. I had submitted a Consent letter duly signed to my University before the CAS document was released albeit.
- I had said I'd rent bikes for 40 quids weekly which was wrong. I also said I don't know the rates for the bus pass when I was asked.
- I also said my Bank statement had lasted for 28 days but it was way longer than that.

To cap it all, I was fluent, good command of English and made sentences void of grammatical blunders. I went with the flow with the aid of my acumen, and dressed smartly tho. smiley
However, I don't know if one's dress code would be a yard stick in determining a successful application.

My mind was filled with negative thoughts like alternatives if my application wasn't successful, thoughts of rejection prolly because of the aforementioned errors.

Special thanks to @Justwise and @Umarwy again, the duo reassured me and were very helpful with rapid responses proffering answers.

And again, when one has been destined by God, no obstacle can hinder the manifestation.

Peace cool

Thanks.

So, I can do the paper registration on the 25th day and when its 28th day, I can then submit online or what??

Kindly explain better, cause I don't know what you meant '' I should wait until the 28th day''

Is there anything for me to do before the 28th day, to get it started??

Sorry for the questions anyway...

I am happy to answer any question because I strongly believe the help I got here that boosted my application outcome.

Personally, I would not advise you submit online until the statement of account is 28 days old. This is what I mean by the 28 days thingy. However, @Justwise said you can and I believe he knows better than us, he must have had cases similar to this that turned out successful.

You can go ahead to draft your application while counting the days plus try to write sth convincing on that last page- I wrote that 'my family has always been law abiding and this time won't be different'

Who knows what will sound appealing to the officer.

I hope this makes it clearer. I believe you will come back here and share your success stories! Goodluck buddy!!

Morning my people.

I got a Tier 2 job in the NHS and have been requested to get a police clearance certificate (certificate of good conduct). Has anyone done this or have an idea of how to go about it within the UK? Have been calling the Nigeria Embassy in London to ask for procedure on how to go about but no response from them. I have booked an appointment with Scotland Yard (Met Police) but I don't know if I need to go to the Nigeria Embassy before going for thumb-printing at Scotland Yard.

Your responses will be highly appreciated

NB: I am currently in the UK on Tier 4 visa

I've got a question...
Please, how can I nominate a responsible adult to accompany me when I go to collect my Biometric Resident Permit? Can I nominate here in Nigeria or should it be done in the UK?

I've tried checking gov.uk and the link is only for Third parties whom must be EU or British citizens.

Kindly assist me if you've got any link or suggestions and ideas.

Thanks for your anticipated cooperation.

Anyone coming to Glasgow and in need of accommodation should PM me ASAP.

A mini room fully furnished in a 3 bedroom apartment is available at £200 monthly excluding bills (the bills cannot be more than £50 monthly). The room is 15mins from university of Glasgow, 30 minutes from Strathclyde university and Caledonia university.

Pictures available on request but I would prefer someone who is physically available in Glasgow to inspect the room.

Congrats to all those who have gotten their visas and hose still awaiting decisions, your expectations will turn to manifestations. Regards.

Those two cities are miles apart. Luton prominity to London makes it expensive regarding accommodation. Budget around £300 for a single bedroom per month.

Sure I am. Tried nominating him as a Responsible Adult but I got this mail...

"Good Afternoon,

Thank you for your enquiry.

Please be advised that we are unable to assist with this nomination for a Third Party (3Party) collection as this service can only be provided to applicants who are within the United Kingdom.

Please contact us again a week before you arrive in the United Kingdom via the reporting tool to nominate someone else to collect your BRP on your behalf:

https://www.biometric-residence-permit.service.gov.uk/someone-else/arrange..."

So, I'd want to nominate my guardian a week before I depart since my dad isn't an EU citizen and doesn't hold a BRP and also won't be required to collect one.

I intend staying in a student accommodation provided by the University tho... £131 per week. I'd do a shorter contract of say... 3 months... Then I'd move out when I get acclimatised to the UK environ.

That is a good idea though i'm not sure if the uni offers such short term accommodation deal. If you are given then take it and use that period to shop around for private accommodation.

You don't need to go through that process, simple travel with your daddy as planned, go with him and collect the BRP when you arrived in the UK. What you are trying to do is nominating somebody else to collect it on your behalf, this is not necessary.

Oops but they said that I must nominate someone, and it would take a week for approval by the Home Office. It's included on the letter that was attached to my passport.

Please, don't get angry, kindly expanciate in details convincingly.

Sure, the Student Village Located at Luton offers short time accommodation - - A standard room with shared toilet (Lea Halls). The African representative at the University suggested I explore that option to save costs.

You can take a peek here and add to your vast knowledge.

hello..been following this thread for sometime now, pls i need ur candid advice. i will be 27 by september this year, an undergraduate of chemical engineering in one of the federal universities in Nigeria here. Due to my unguided choice of Chemical engineering as a first degree course of study i have suffered a great deal academically, i do not have any passion whatsoever for chemical engineering and so i will be graduating with a very poor grade (2.2) cum july.

i have an estimated amount of 3million naira as i speak and no sponsor whatsover and i will like to re-kindle my passion for academics by ''studying abroad'' as it were in my primary and secondary school days. pls what are my options?

thanx in anticipation
