Just saw this on their official Facebook page. The organizers should be ashamed of themselves. Turning writing contest into a beauty pageant undecided

lol, if their reason is true, then they need to check themselves. It means serious writers did not put in for the competition.

If it's they're being untruthful, then shame on them.

All the same, shame on them for giving this flimsy excuse

Not really, it actually means they allowed that ridiculous voting system drown out quality stories. How do you tell a Facebook-like-clicking generation to rate essays undecided

Heck, how many people even read 'em? Etisalat should be ashamed of themselves

Creating a competition without having the means to assess it..

They're simply lazy moraphuckaz undecided undecided

They lazily shortlisted by using voters which of course only favours those who have many followers or friends

Forgetting that the actual creative ones might not even have means to follow up the competition

That's a real dumb one from ETISALAT Nigeria undecided lipsrsealed

I actually wanted to contest but sort of lost interest in it. It's a pity there are no winners. Just goes to show the death of intellectualism amongst other things in this generation. I hope Nigeria would not become a breeding ground for dullards in the future...

How would there be a winner..numbskull Etisalat lipsrsealed

I saw how the participants were clamouring for votes and I shook my head in dismay knowing fully well that my friend who was part of the finalists wouldn't get any further cos he was very introverted. The guy is very good but has few friends to vote for him plus the website to vote wasn't even user friendly so he was dropped. I tried severally before I could even cast one vote. Shake my head

Many Things were wrong from the start. Firstly, the first listing was good enough, different creative and intelligent works were listed and when it came to the voting, they messed up real bad.
There was an insider hacking by some Etisalat Technical persons to favour certain people. The truth is, most people had the chance to scale through but there was a systematic hindrance and believe me, it was a big frustration and discouragement for super writers.
We sent emails to them, and dropped queries on their facebook and twitter handles but they replied none.
Ain't it obvious they were set to fail from the outset??
