ok... so now you want to agree its a miracle because his mission is not yet accomplished? grin... you're soon gonna kill me with laughter... i dunno of people from other faiths with similar testimonies... if you do... please share... you seem to be hell bent on disproving anything that comes from Yahweh... wanting to attribute it to a general cause at the last moment... so far you've not given me any reason why its another God and not Yahweh that caused this.. cuz i know the spiritual encounter my dad had before the incident(also did not take place in a church or in the presence of any clergy)... over to you sire
Mellen Thomas Benedict is irreligious. He survived a cancer and told of how the light(Knoliud) cured him and told him of the BIG BANG and the origin of the universe. Now he is an adherent of GAIA, aka Mother Earth, according to the prophecy which are also in the DOCTUFOS. Anita Moorjani an unbeliever, survived cancer. She was told to return to earth to live her life 'FEARLESSLY'. She was told that religions are just mere inventions of human beings. I died and returned to life. In my death, I met Eusebius of Caesarea. There are others too, which I have no time to share. They are all mysteries and because I have a big mission on earth, I didn't die permanently. All these happen without the Christian religion. Check google for Anita Moorjani and Mellen Thomas.

Your evidence got lost when I asked for an evidence, right. grin continue. Did you pick the bullets from the seat and snap it? Let me joke a little bit, how does a bullet look like?

i didn't ever claim to have picture evidence... and obviously that's the only evidence i could give you on nl.. the incident happened years ago.. i didn't have a camera phone then... your questions shows u didn't understand the whole idea of “close range".... and concerning your question on how a bullet looks like, I'd say it looks like a flat screen tv grin

oooh oooh yeah... Anita moorjani.... i remember her testimony... i find it pretty cool tho.. I've heard several testimonies from NDEs.. i never claimed Christianity has the monopoly of miracles or miracles are only in Christianity.. i said i didn't know any(i forgot anita moorjani)... i experienced my miracle in Christianity.. so i see no reason going to another religion seeking what i already have in mine... although, in Anita moorjani's NDE her religion was not stated.. although i think it could be Buddhism

"i didn't ever claim to have picture evidence..."

notice the word “have" not "had"... meaning i don't possess the pictures presently

the second comment seems to affirm the first... i don't have any picture evidence currently cuz its been long

you seem to be hell bent on finding a contradiction... chill a little bro

No sir, she didn't have a religion. And I have been telling you people, religion should not be mingled with spirituality. I get my so-called miracles out of religion.

Nah, I ain't so desperate, but I wonder how an evidence as such could be carelessly lost from you. It's more than a certificate in magnitude, how come you lose it so cheaply Your bullet story reminds me of an uncle... that day some Armed robbers came around our streets and shot many bullets. Coincidentally, myself and my house people went to pick many 'Boris' earlier that day, which we were using to play. And they were all left at our backyard. Now in the morning my uncle saw all the borises and picked them up, sharing testimony of how all the bullets the robbers shot that day actually fell in our compound without any of them killing any of us. We children couldn't tell the adults till today that those things are the 'borises' we went to pick, because they have already made a testimony out of it, telling many people including visitors already grin

I wasn't joking when I asked you how does a bullet look like? If you haven't seen a bullet before that occurrence, then it's possible for you to have assumed anything metallic and sharp as a bullet as my uncle did. You know some metallic objects are used for designing seats. It wouldn't be funny if you and your dad had pulled one out forcefully to erroneously assume it as a bullet cheesy

I am not there, so I can't totally trust you because many xtians are not to be trusted with their testimonies. I'd rather trust an atheist more than a Christian because of many personal experiences with both parties. Christians should be renamed Liestians. They can lie!! they were armed robbers bro... not assassins.. they came for the money... they got that before they fired the shots.. no armed robber waits around to check the health status of their victim ... especially when its in an open area... once they fired the shots, they fled

Come on, what's the meaning of this:
"no armed robber waits around to check the health status of their victim"?

Anyways i wanted to know if they knew about this mystery and fled in fear(like most common testimonies), without completing the job(or if they shot again and the same thing happened).

If the armed robbers were not aware of this, then it's possible for them to have missed considering the fact that most men won't be sitting still when they are being shot at.
So this could have been a very good luck.

do armed robbers do otherwise?? we are in Nigeria... when a gun shot is heard... police won't be too far behind

what job?? they were thieves... they've already collected the money.. pulled the trigger.. you think they would care much about pulling more stunts knowing police would probably be on their way? ... no thief does what you just said above.

bro... its not compulsory for you to discredit someone's experience just because you don't believe in miracles per say.. i can't keep explaining and explaining again.. its a miracle I'm still grateful to God for.. call it luck.. luck can't do such.. i call it a miracle and I'll be forever grateful for it

Now this is circumstantial...
An armed robber could also make sure the victim is dead so he won't be able to leak even a tiny bit of their identity to the police.

empasis on ***Awareness of the event***
It does not need to take forever after figuring out you missed to shoot again.
I brought this up because if there were not aware then it is possible that there missed the first time, or was not really aiming at him(but just tried to frighten him).

No vex ooo
But if there are two sides of a coin, i don't like being fixated on only one side, unless it is beyond reasonable doubt or out of personal experience(though this is not strong enough in most cases as your belief can influence your perception).
Anyways i have no qualms with the supernatural(or miracles), i seek to understand it(if it exist) but i think I've not gotten there yet. I still pray to God in my own way and read religious texts.

also depends on the robber... that's why i said they were not assassins.. they got their money.. which was the main deal.. so it depends on the robber if he wants to wait to see blood pouring out or not

i get your point... but whether the armed robber was waiting to see if him victim was indeed dead is not what i called a miracle.. it wasn't a case of a missed shot.. the hole in the seat is a witness to that... i take it that you don't do “faith"... so let's face it... you won't believe me... cuz u weren't there.. you'll take it that anything can be fabricated.. nd I'm ok with that.. you've not had the experience so you'll still pull out a reason to doubt... that's why i said its your choice... but as for me... other religions? in what way??.. i find a few of them ok... like Buddhism and Sikhism... i have the holy books of both religions and read them from time to time depending on if i have chance... many(not all) religions contain truths... my idea of God isn't based on the bible alone... no religion has the monopoly of truth as many have been twisted from their original meaning.. i respect all other religions .. some have nice knowledge

yes
what led you to your current faith?

I got too spiritual and wanted to know more about God and his ways, till i opened "pandora box" grin ; and started questioning beliefs i had out of the knowledge gotten.
nd what's your take on different religions??

i think most religions are as a result of phenomena that couldn't be fully explained.
Though some actually seek knowledge, but tend to encounter a gap and fill God or a supernatural explanation in there.
For example i love Gnosticism,Buddhism, the Qi philosphy and so on because they are very sensible(to me at least) i don't even consider them as religions but philosophies, but when they start talking about reincarnation, demiurge, karma, predestination and so on, i step back a little bit(but still being open-minded) till i find a convincing reason(either supernaturally or in actuality).

Not initially, i stopped seeing the rationality of some beliefs like purpose, hell, unconditional love, prayer, the need for Jesus, and so on, anytime i go for meditation then.
I came online to seek for answers or different views, i didn't even know there were that many atheists/freethinkers in Nigeria/Nairaland till mid last year.
So the content of "pandora's box" here was Gnosis. wink

I'm still searching for knowledge though.

wow... you got your secondary thoughts from nl.. its OK sha... knowledge is power... don't just search for the bad type... but remember.. its not all about knowing.. when i initially started to question my beliefs and read wild, i was ready to argue to prove i had ”correct" and superior beliefs.. but as my knowledge increased, i began to realize its not all about knowing but also application... i wish you the best on your quest for knowledge...

Notwithstanding the faith necessary to believe... what is your response to every prophecy documented in the Holy Bible which has unfailingly come to pass? The doubts and unbelief of many will continue until the very last prophecies are fulfilled and the end comes... at that time, or at the end of any ones' time on this planet, it will not be a laughing matter.

"Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice, Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:" - Hebrews 3:7-8

"Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:" - Isaiah 55:6

"The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit." - Psalm 34:18

Blessings!
