Same goes for Shehu Abdullahi.
I don't think Shehu is as regular as Musa is for SE. You may not agree, but time will tell

One thing I don't do is argue blindly. And I also hate reasoning parochially. Did I contradict ur fact? Ain't we saying same thing? Yea he scored two against the Argies and I give him credit for that. But I still maintain by stance, maybe u c it as a damning verdict. Prior to those two goals against the Argies, Musa had not done anything as spectacular and he hasn't been able to achieve same fit ever again. Maybe u didn't understand the world HIGHLIGHT. quote me outta context again or maybe get my message misconstrued just to undermine the claims, and I no go reply u again sir.

I asked u a simple question and u want to give me part 1 and part 2. Nobody else as ever scored 2 goals in the wc for Nigeria so it makes sense that Musa be remembered for that.

And on Iwobi.... yeah... Rohr now sees Iwobi would find it hellish against Cameroon.... Anyway, we will find a way around it... Mikel, or etebo... whatever it is... we will find a way.

For the bolded..... I just dey laugh here..... abeg... no comment for now on that one... lolllll

You may say Musa has stayed longer in the team. But ever since after the 2014 WC Shehu has made almost every match squad for the Super Eagles.

We share similar hope for Nacho and our rising stars..

do you know Kelechi Nwakali was the only African player tied to an African country who made it to the NxtGen Top 50 U-19 world talents won by Donnarumma with Mbappe in second and Pulisic in third? Nwakali was ranked 46th I think..

Look Sir GoodJoe.... I only hope this phase of preps doesn't take longer than usual.... Nacho is one of the central pieces of our rising new Super Eagles having the likeliest chance of becoming our next golden generation.

TheGoodJoe:

I see this phase as Nacho preparing for his exams and when he gets playing time or moves to another as the exams where he excels.

Another player I would boot outta this team is Moses Simon. Too predictable, keeps doin same thing over and again, yet expecting a different result. He has been as poor as anything in our competitive matches. Time will tell Sha. I hope Onyekuru, Kalu, bazee are improvements on both Musa and Moses so that they get consigned to the bench or worse yet, left out entirely, since they have refused to grow.

Plz I want Aluko back, I doubt he would have been as poor as iwobi was today behind the main striker.

It looks like Iwobi was quite poor.. Etebo, Ogu and Mdidi should start the next game.

As Siasia would say. Forwards should not be predictable. Simon is good, but we have to start thinking about beating the likes of Germany someday. We need to start building with that in view. I did not see any clips of the match besides Iheanacho's penalty goal. So I can't comment yet on this one.
But owngoal said Success Isaac caused Senegal all kind of problems. I've always thought Success to be a good match up against Cameroon. We need physical and skillful players, not petit and soft players that Cameroon would characteristically pocket. I still think Success has great potential. The premier league may not be his thing.

I've always said Iwobi will not fare well against Cameroon and teams that play like them. For the same reason above. I don't think he can really play the physical African game.

I tow your line of thinking on the likes of ONyekuru, Bazee and Kalu, because for a while now the duo of Moses Simon and Musa have not been impressive (IMO) especially in Nigeria's colors.

cut Iwobi some slack, boy was just introduced to the hard tackling African style, he'll need a couple of ganes to adjust, but not so many we're drafting in Aluko for him.

We have capable legs that can fill in where needed pending when he gets the hang of it

Honestly Wilfred Ndidi should be a mainstay in the Super Eagles Midfield..... Lord!!!!!!! What a player he is..... Long ago, Sir TheGoodjoe said Ndidi may indeed be the true heir to Oliseh's long vacated throne.... and just hours back... Sir Tbaba1234 have uttered the same thing....

If I didn't know better... I would term him world class already but I feel I would be too froward... but give him time.... like within the next two years or so.... he will be referred to as a true world class midfield enforcer and operator....

This is what this new generation needs.... an avalanche of young dedicated players who will move from being "potential world class" to actual world class

21-25 -- the age range they peak. Not necessarily meaning they experience a deep after 25?

Icon4s:

No na. I dnt think so.

Musa, though has not been at his best of late, has been a strong member of this team. Remember his brace against Argentina and his power strike against SA in the last friendly game we played against them.

I have suggested that he b converted to a supporting striker.

Besides, Ahmed Musa has passed his peak.

He peaked around 2014-2015 but meanwhile he is just 24.

Aha! who was i pointing out to the other day that most West African strikers peak between 21 and 25?

And Thanks for all the beautiful pictures from camp leading up to this game Sir Tbaba.... seeing them pages back just gave me some goosebumps... Chaaaiiiiii... such unity.... especially when Bazee and Ebuehi were dancing in their initiation... loollll....

tbaba1234:
A very young Nigerian team held its own against a strong Senegalese team. That is certainly a positive. There is a lot of good to look forward to. Remember, Mikel and Victor Moses were missing.

I always had this bad feeling that he will not live up to expectation in Leicester. But should he prove me wrong next season I would be happy for him. Club career can sometimes affect your national career. I don't think he is finished.. But at the moment, we have better options.

ChrisKels:
I pointed out some pages back that the high point of of Musa' s career with the Eagles remains his two goals against the Argies and some misguided guys were calling for my head, they even went as far as telling me about his exploits in an obscure league like the the Russian league, forgetting the fact that I was specific with my assertions. To those guys quoting me that day, I still repeat it again, Musa's highlight with EAGLES remains his two goals against the Argies.

I guess some people were not expecting us to come outta this game unscathed, reason was that the guys didn't come through the English youth system and they were selected outta nepotism or what they termed ARRANGEE. I haven't been seeing much of thier comments, I guess they have gone into hibernation waiting for any slip ups in order to pounce. Nigerians eh

You are so right about Simon Moses' predictable style of playing.... I have watched both he and Kalu Smauel this season at Kaa Gent... and I gotta tell ya... Samuel Kalu is almost unplayable for Gent but simon can be benched... Kalu brings more to wingplay and got bags of tricks and turns of pace better than Simon....

Simon is still a good player but he got to up his game. As for our competitive matches ... I have to truthfully say he did score a wonderful freekick against Swaziland (under oliseh.... a game where Mikel was benched for Onobi.... chaaiiii... Super Eagles haff suffered) in the second round of WCQs that for us into this final group stage of qualification. He was also one of our beat that day shaa.... but overall... He has not overly convinced in the Super Eagles shirt.... just yet.

I've been clamoring for Onazi's replacement in the SE midfield for some time now. It's our job to observe. No one is particularly right or wrong until it is proven on the pitch.

So glad we have a new look midfield in Ogu and Ndidi.

Mickael2:

I pointed out a long time ago that Onazi is not made for a possession based team, I am not happy that he is injured but the difference in our play with and without Onazi ought to have enlightened his die hard fans right about now
