Anambra 2017/2018 : Why APGA Must Win By All Means by Nebuchadnezar: 6:33pm On Mar 29, 2017
Anambra state election coming up on November leaves the state in puzzle if we'll continue with Obiano or a new government.
i write this article as a piece of warning and advice to the ruling party APGA on the need to win Anambra state at all cost.

it's of no news that Willie (Obiano) is working hence deserves a second tenure but with current situation in Nigeria elections since Buhari's regime, only an idiot will expect free and fair election from apc led government.
No doubt igbos hate apc (forget Rochas rigging as incumbent) but make no mistake apc always has a plan per election at least Edo, Ondo state is a case of study.

recall that apc promise to deliver SE and trust me when they said that they mean Anambra state because that's the heartbeat of igboland a kind of fortress of igboland politically.
if apc conquers Anambra state on November then trust me they've delivered SE because it will just be a matter of months before other fragile SE governors will decamp
.
no doubt in free and fair elections apc will not even be in fourth position in anambra state but who's talking about free and fair elections here? who's talking about Obiano's legacy that supposed to be his reelection ground?
we're talking about the party that sees election as do or die affairs.
i had a conversation with Apc leader in my town who happens to be an old friend, he told me that apc will surprise Obiano in November, i told him that it's not possible that Anambra are with APGA do you know his reply? he boldly told me "who's talking about free and fair elections here?" "will Obiano fight like Wike? "" how many anambarians are willing to die for Obiano just like bloodshed in rivers? "

you see this guy is basking on election violence to conquer SE

My advice to Obiano/APGA

1. mend all your political fences make peace with your political enemies because there's storm and darkness coming in anambra state on November.
you'll be needing all helping hand you can get to sustain that seat and fight people like ifeanyi ubah andy ubah, ekwunife, ngige, etc. remember it's just only you against them

2. start now to plan and mobilize because hmmm i don't think Anambra youths have time to die for any politician so start now to assemble strong men because we know that normally you're the man Anambra want but it can only happen on a free and fair election which died 2 years ago.

3. don't trust the federal police DSS army that day start now to plan your alternatives. apc are desperate people.

My advice to PDP

don't push it too hard to take Anambra unless you want to loose SE forever
remember SE/SS will always choose you guys against apc anyday anytime

thanks.

As much as I think Obiano will win, there are two or three problems he faces.

1) Will APC use federal might to rig him out? Its no secret that APC bigwigs like Rochas Okorocha and Chris Ngige have vowed to deliver Anambra to APC by hook or crook.

2) IPOB wants Obiano's head. Obiano caused himself unnecessary enemies with IPOB when he should have shown strenght of character by calling out the shooting of unarmed people same as current president of Ohaneze is doing. Instead, Obiano remained docile and even made things worse when he chose to visit a mosque in Onitsha when his people where dead in mortuaries and lying with bullet wounds in hospital. IPOB doesnt get involved in Nigerian politics so that might save Obiano. If IPOB use their popularity against Obiano, he could be a gonner.

3) The number of intimidating aspirants who want to be Governor of Anambra. After the Presidency of Nigeria, the most sort after political position in Nigeria is the Governoship of Anambra. That state is something else.

How does falling to APC spell doom? The only valid reason to support Obiano is continuity and equity. If he is voted out it will cause imbalance to the zoning arrangements which made it possible for Anambra North to produce Governor Obiano causing political tensions and possible violence.

The greatest challenger i see against obiano is IPOB, Obiano can mend his relationship with Ipob by setting up independent panel of enquiry on killing of Ipob in Onitsha.

Ipob is capable of defending obiano or bringing him down if they go into politics, Ipobians can't work for APC rather they work for PDP.

APC can't win anambra I'm 100% sure. Anambra is Apga and apga is anambra.

Ifenayi Uba, Andy Uba, Ekwunife , ngige & co won't reconcile easily with Obiano because they need the position more than Obiano.

But him reconciling with IPOB is the easiest thing for him and its an easy thing he will do just set up independent committee or panel of enquiry that will come out the truth of what happened at Onitsha.
Starting from 30 of August 2014 when combine team of navy officers kill Ipob members on evangelization at bridge head till date.

He can even go back to show us the autopsy result of those bodies at Ezu & he will win the heart of Ipobians.

I'm saying this because I'm on ground in Anambra & has been monitoring events in anambra and other south east since the decamping started.

Any body that love Obiano & close to him should advice him to reconcile with Igbos because they love ojukwu & will like to support apga. And pose more threat than Andy Uba, Ifeanyi Uba & co.

Hahaha, u must be joking, whether Ipob support him or not, Anambra will still have her governor, whether it be from APC, apga, or PDP. Obiano is not a coward, in his own words "Ipob is a toothless bulldog". Don't u see he does not need to apologies, he knows u all are afraid of APC, that alone will make u cowards vote him. Obiano has a better chance of winning than all the other contenders. He should do new roads or at least patch up the dilapidated roads especially in Nkpor/Obosi axis, Awka and Nnewi North. It is a very important campaign tool to garner support in these densely populated areas.
Most people believe he has not done much in roads.

I don't think Obiano has made much enemies to necessitate a gang up from the Federal cabal against him. From my observation he is a bridge builder and is at peace with most politicians with clout irrespective of party.

He deserves a second term to complete the development of key infrastructures in Anambra East, West, Anyamelum and Awka North. It is important that the Oil and gas exploitations, Agricultural revolutions and the value chains are not abandoned.

That possibility was witnessed in Edo State last year. But that is not exactly the same case with Anambra because Obiano's effort is appreciated across party divide. The voices against him are so insignificant and we all know it is from quarters that want to usurp power. PDP is a house divided against itself and the only person who can be a strong contender from APC is Chris Ngige but he is not contesting.
Ngige to me is fearless and aggressive in nature, he personally surpervised projects and gave the contractors no room to cheat, the roads he did many years ago using RCC, are still motorable and very solid.

He call Ipob a toothless bulldog because he knows that IPOB can't support APC & PDP is not healthy either if not he can't use that word.

But all the same let him set up committee of enquiry on killings that happened in his state to clear his name. He can't be their for ever, sins of today can fight him tomorrow.

Anambra indigenes don't do Ipod, so Ipod is never a threat to Obiano. Most Ipod members in anambra state are actually wawa people from enugu state and their abakaliki neighbours. Their nuisance in anambra state doesn't exist beyond the Onitsha metropolis(particularly the Okpoko and Fegge areas). Besides, Ipod don't vote in Nigerian elections. Obiano will win this election by a landslide because the overwhelmingly vast majority of votes in anambra governorship election comes from the rural areas where APGA is like a religion to the people. Ipods are criminals. They have no place in anambra. I am glad that they have now realised it, which is why they relocated their madness to Rivers state.

Anambra indigenes across all party divides are not violent in nature. So don't think the 'Rivers of blood' scenario will play out here. APC will be given a resounding defeat and they will have no other option but to go home and lick their wounds. We don't need the guns of those Ipod criminals to fight for us, because we know too well that after the election, they would turn those guns on the citizens by going back to their lives of kidnapping and armed robbery.
