too bad i missed this.. i ve just been busy lately. for the firxt question.. i am suspecting that reaction to be an addition reaction if that s true.. then only alkyne(option B) will react with hydrogen cyanide... the second question, the mass of KOH is 56g.

For the first question it's alkanal they're the only compound that undergo reaction with HydrogenCyanide(HCN)
You're absolutely right for the second question 56g

DE will take a new dimesion this year according to jamb's boss there will be an aptitude test that will conducted by the institution(UI) so once you meet the cut-off mark you will be offered admission.
The school fee should be around #25000-#30000 i'm not too sure tho.[/quote
Pls am aspiring to secure admission through direct entry into U.I, how do I go about it? Can I change my course? ]

Last Year Screening Was based on point grading system for both UTME &DE (i've explained that in the previous page of the thread)

so this year it'll be a different thing entirely as DE candidates won't be siting for jamb but an aptitude test that will be conducted by the respective institution.
So apart from those who want to apply to the department of medicine&surgery that will need first class or a strong 2.1
other deparment might not really require first class or 2.1 but it'll surely give an edge should the competition becomes fierce.
And if UI should base the admission strictly on the aptitude test then i think CGPA will be a minor thing
Besides which department did you want to apply to.

Direct Entry To Computer Science(UI)
Requirements
OND/HND in computer science or any other Mathematics based courses with grade of upper credit.
I'm sure Electrical Electronics Engineering is a Mathematics based course

First and Foremost are you done with regularization.. Did you've your results(ND) with you already...??
Besides JAMB registration begins April 23 to May 5(direct entry)
You'll buy and generate PIN at the bank(you must create a profile at www.jamb.org.ng with a valid email before heading to bank) and then move ahead to any cbt centres to capture yourself.

If sis. Wuminity won't mind, she might shed more light
