Sisters Come In..... by Nobody: 8:33am On Apr 06, 2017
#copied....(few editing)...

We need daughters, sisters and wives who are passionate students of knowledge, i want to have a daughter and wife who in my weakness i can rely on their understanding of the Deen... Our generation is almost Barren of this kind of females... Unfortunately our brothers are not telling these sisters about how decayed and degenerated their situation is,... they rather sell to the sisters matters of romance, wearing jilbaab and looking for ideal husbands as though Islam starts and ends with it... What about having sisters in the fields of Arabic, Tajweed,Qira'aat, Hadeeth, Usool al fiqh amongst others. .... THE MATTER TIRE ME.

Whenever a sister asks me about issues relating to themselves such as Hayd and so on, i don't answer because i am suppose to be asking her... Ukhti, I have never menstruated mehn, I am shy to answer such questions...

CAN WE PLEASE VIEW THIS AS A MATTER THAT NEEDS URGENCY? BECAUSE I AM SCARED

This life is not all about falling in love and spending money... The only narrations you know is about how the prophet drank from the same spot His wife drank from, or the prophet was the romantic husband...how the prophet helped with chores and so on.

We need our Sisters to stop been petty... You have stronger potentials than the brothers especially in these times when we are most busy pursuing the dollar.

BaarakaLlaahu feekunna...

I agree. Men can also read on issues related to women and vice versa.

Na'am, the children will benefit a lot from it because they stay with their moms more than they stay with their dads...

That is what I mean. Like its important to study issues related to both genders. I am mentioning this because of the example you gave.

Your observation is right, it's really painful, but then the blame should not be entirely heaped on the sisters as our fathers and husbands should also get their portion of the blame.

One of my friends once observed that if we apply thesame kind of vigour and zeal in the pursuit of matters partaining to the deen as we do to western education, we would all have become ulamas in various fields of Islamic knowledge.

Na'am I agree.....fathers and husbands should be blamed and it was mentioned in the op{not explicitly).

That's nothing but the truth.....8+6+4=18....18 years in learning the deen, you would be at least a big student of knowledge.... And that's for those that won't go for masters and PhD..

The writer was really on point, buh if you grow up in certain regions of d country, it takes extra determination to learn more in the field of Arabic.

Take it or leave it if you can't seek to acquire such knowledge before marriage, it becomes very difficult after marriage.....

The criterion has always been determination, no one gets it easy, you struggle for it, some grew up in saudi but still don't know the classical Arabic (language of the Quran), except the one they learnt by heart, not everyone has the stomach for memorizing rules, reviewing them every now and then in order not to forget, reading volumes of books applying what you've learnt and so on.....DETERMINATION HAS ALWAYS BEEN THE KEY NOT LOCATION.

When has knowledge ever been easy to acquire?

You are right bro, Dats why I said EXTRA DETERMINATION. It has never been easy but I also believe that everything can be made possible by the will of Allah especially if one really has d intention.
My mum made sure we learnt how to recite d Qur'an buh we just read without any knowledge about tajweed, dis my husband started teaching me when we got married but believe me it's not been that easy. But this my younger sister was able to learn during her university days.... may Allah forgive our shortcomings oooh! Ameen wink

@khaifa

I completely agree with you! It becomes harder when you get married. I don't know how some people do it. When I was much younger, had time and the chance I wasnt intersted. Now I am like.... how do I seek knowledge? Where do I start from? Do I focus on Tajweed or Quran memorization. How do I learn about the hadiths? I will like to go to an actual university but a ones I found require Arabic.

I think location also plays a role. Its easier to learn in certain places than others but determination is a key factor.

Nop I don't think location has got anything to do with learning, u can learn in a hole as long u have the ryt resources and ur mind is set to do it.

Salam alaykum,

I guess I can ask my question here since there are sisters here and its more likely the sisters here would have answers than brothers. Are there any educative and family friendly cartoons you know about? Usually I would ask for series but I guess a movie can work too. I want something educative so that at the end of it, I can draw/teach a lesson or moral.

A lot of the ones I see on TV have a lot of negative message it passes it coupled with magic and things which I don't like.

Opps. Arewa24 done stop the show. It is a historic religious cartoon, it is not that long and I enjoyed it.

Cartoon will work for boys until they get to their age of adolescence....

Although I don't deny some boys will still watch it even after age of adolescence, but its rare....

There are so many Islamic cartoons @snapscore but most of them are in Arabic. I have some audio ones as well but you need someone to translate for them.
Re: Sisters Come In..... by AbuHammaad: 2:37pm On Apr 19, 2017
You can find the videos on this Muslimgurl channel

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UffB3_-Gogg

I used to have all the videos but I had to delete them because they took so much space so I only have audio now

I was using them to improve my Arabic back then. It starts from 01- Adab az ziyarah to 28- Huquq Al wãlidayn
