The era of SUVs are over for Uber/Taxify Nigeria. The profit margin is not that much as such can no longer accommodate such cars. The best cars for Uber are Corolla, civic and prius. UberX in yankee has alot of crossover SUV and fuel is not an issue. Soon Uber will start accepting cars from 1999(pencil light here it comes) from 2003 because they are now competing with kabukabu Orobo Camry 1996 and and 1987 Santana

I have used a 2000 4wd Rav4 with the 1AZ 2.0l engine both for city and highway driving. The fuel consumption is okay. I have used 20liters from ijebu ode to Osogbo.

City driving is not same as highway driving. If your aim is maximizing of profit and you are yet to decide on a vehicle to use as a taxi, a sedan with a max of a 1.8liter engine is your best bet.

Emagine how happy you would be with a hyundai I10 Xcent 1.2liter? wink
Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by dejidotun2000(m): 7:40pm On May 21, 2017
Of course the xcent is a smaller car and gets more mileage but the Rav4 with 1az isn't bad, it's better than a camry with 2az.

the promotions you are looking at are for cancellation fee and reimbursement for a rider who didnt pay her fare

Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Romeo3(m): 10:28am On May 22, 2017
the good thing is that uber refunds 3 of such complains within 15 days. so most times i get my money back.

the one of last night she didnt pay since last week monday. so i reported it all the same because i dont expect uber to do anything about it since it is over 3 days it happened.

thats how one unilag boy took me round lagos in january and i was waiting for him at skye bank in unilag.

uber ended the trip after 2 hours and the boy absconded. i reported and was refunded extra 500 to make it 3800 for inconveniences.

so also another man and his family i drove to ikorodu last month for 5225. only for the man to tell me he has never paid more than 4200 for the journey and proceeded to give me 4200. ireported and was refunded.
