The Crises is coming barely over 24hrs the governor of Benue State, His Exclency, Samuel Ortom signed the anti-grazing bill meant to put a stop between the Fulani herdsmen & farmers of Benue State.

On a more serious note, this issue has been around for a long time. Indeed back in the early 1990's, the area around Wukari was a 'war zone'

The problem is simple. The population is growing, and the land they are using is growing. Meanwhile, education does not provide an alternative to subsistence farming. Then add the lack of opportunities for the youth and the fact that good land management is not practiced in our rural areas.

Serious work needs to be done in our rural areas.

Benue state, Taraba state....wheelbarrow is not the answer.
