During emperor Menelik II expansion to SW, S and SE, peoples who didn't resisted(some Oromos are included) where treated humanly, but those who resisted(most Oromos are included) were massacred, their organs mutated and sold as a slave. The Abyssinians didn't only done it out of revenge, because most of Menelik army were made of Oromos themselves. They sold those slaves to buy firearms and to eliminate those who opposed them.

I tink we hv buzus in Nigeria but I don't know wich state they are from. There are indigenous Zarma in Nigeria from kebbi state. d buzus r mostly from nijer nd Mali, they look slim wit very curly hair and dey r mostly black( d ones I see here though), but I tink those tuareg r light skin buzus( nt too sure). They have pretty ladies similar to d Somalis but not dat light. All d Zarmas I knw speak dere language very well no matter where de r born.

Adalis weren't sold as slaves, they were slave traders themselves. Especially the Afar, they captured and sold millions into slavery.

I have really studied the demographics of most part of the north and i highly doubt the existence of substantial Buzu and Zarma communities in Kebbi or Sokoto. Even if there are, i think they will be very few spill overs at the boundary areas.
I have never heard them counted in any demographic representation of Sokoto or Kebbi, the dominate neither a LGA nor a traditional stoolship. Nothing. They may be immigrants who are now claiming those states.

As for the issue of ethnic clusters. I think both have advantages and disadvantages.
In places like Aba, Onitsha or Warri you really cannot compare the fate of northerners in Hausa quarters to those who live in the streets...especially in middle class areas, but truly, bad neighbours really count.

Ghana north are not sideline. ghana former president is a northerner. the current vice president is also a northerner. Some powerful position are assign to the northerner. Though there is still diffrence. But that gap is closing sincerly.

ghana is a christain dominated country but she has a huge presence of islam infact the diffrence is not up to 10percent according to wikipedia report. considering the high birth rate in zongo community that gap may closed soon. am not even using the national index. i try to compare what will be consider in ghana as a southern part assumimg she is a federal state compare to what is on ground in nigeria. the gap still show ghana will likely outperform nigeria ... Take this word from me. Nigeria north is more developed than ghana north.

Greater accra is the most developed region in ghana. i dont have the statistics. poverty line may range from 10 percent to 5 percent.
