You are wrong man, schlumberger has upto 23 segments. Trust me a new entry level permanent could even earn way more than that. Depending on your segments and contract. Segments such as westerngeco/PTS etc

Well he or she wrote Schlumberger 500k, I am aware that those in wireline can earn more but , when u write 500k, it just means that's the base or basic, not saying that's the highest u get my drift?

Schlumberger wireline department wont pay entry level Field Engineer/specialist 500k. 500 what?!
You'll start earning something close to the quoted amount after you have been "broken out" and that's you must have gone for some jobs both at the blueBase and on the rig unsupervised. You'd be entitled to rig allowance in form of JOB TICKET PERCENTAGE. A percentage from a JOB may fetch you close to or over a million naira.

Remember: You are as good as your last job.

The departments you called segments are actually called Product Service Lines (PSLs)

..and NO! You cannot earn that as a new entry engineer or specialist in any PSL.

Op, there is no difference between Mobil producing and ExxonMobil. Meanwhile some of the figures above are before tax while some are after tax.

The Halliburton figure is what they call consolidated salary, there are other things added to it which makes it rise above that figure. These are Graduate trainees oooo.

NNPC/DPR/PPPRA are also consolidated salary. Many allowances are added which shoots up the pay at month end, but you don't see it on the employment letter. They hide certain things because of tax. Give me NNPC job and I will never work for any of the big 5.

Multinational oil companies pay according to global standards because their employees can be deployed to anywhere in the world. This explains why they pay the highest salaries.

Most bank employees don’t get to earn the figures listed because the figures are for professional staff, whereas 75% of bank staffs are contract staff who don’t earn up to one-third of the figures listed. So, don’t be surprised to know that most “bankers” don’t earn as much as the listed figures.

Aviation companies pay between N600,000 and N800,000.

Actual salaries may vary slightly depending on qualification and unit.

Most companies offering seemingly low salaries bolster their pay with juicy allowances.
