The first time I became aware of me falling sick was in 2007. I was 26 at the time. Since then it has been a myriad of medical troubles.

It has been cycles of malaria, bacterial infections, disc problems and headache. Every night, I take drugs before I could be able to sleep. I always have antimalarials, antibiotics, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and muscle relaxants handy. If malaria symptoms occur, I would take antimalarials and there would be improvement within minutes. And would then complete the dosage in 3 days. By fourth day, symptoms of bacteria infection would occur; I would take ciprofloxacin and get relieved within minutes. Once I complete the dosage, headache would strike, and once aspirin is taken, I get well. But I would keep repeating aspirin every night until gastric ulceration sets in. I would then buy omeprasole and cimetidine to treat ulcer. While ulcer treatment is ongoing, malaria would strike again, and I would take antimalarials. If antimalarials don't work, I would know that the symptoms are bacterial and take antibiotic. If there is no relief, I would combine antimalarials and antibiotic and there would be a relief. It has been like this since 2007. I don't go to hospital again because I have grown to know these symptoms and what doctors would prescribe.

For the past 2 weeks, I have been battling 'herniated disc' problem in my lower back. It started the day I bent down suddenly and I heard a snapping sound at my back bone. I started using norflex, calcium supplement and diclofenac. I feel mild relief because I can't stop my daily hustle to rest while the disc heals. If I dont work in a day, I won't eat or pay bills.

Note that I undergo HIV test almost weekly.

@OP, I feel your situation, I have not passed through such but how I survived the last quarter of 2016 is still a miracle for me, I experienced so many health challenges, to be honest with you, I could not remember how it all started, I was constantly having headache, body pains, hotness of the body, some movement like ant around my body, so many strange symptoms,I was terrified, I went for every possible test you can think of,I kept repeating HIV test almost every week,I went for every test that has to do with infection,I took so many self medication when I thought the one given to me in the hospital was not working,I kept googling every symptom, every natural medicine, I was taking, any night I sleep for one hour was a privilege to me,my BP was hitting close to 200/110,I thought I was gonna die any of the night. It was horrible for me,I suffered alone as I couldn't even explain my sickness to anyone. I knew what people pass through when they say they are depressed, life was not having any meaning to me, I took black seed,I took honey,my tongue was biting, I cant explain, My mind was messed up. BUT one day I took a decision

I discarded ALL the drugs I was taking, I took hold of my mind, I utilized autosuggestion to bring life back to my self, I stopped thinking of any symptoms, I stopped dwelling on them, I stopped giving them a thought, I was taking more of water and fruits, I consciously decided to work on my mind, I got hold of it,the less I gave those things thought,I discovered that most of those symptoms started disappearing,I just discovered that I was gradually getting back my self, the hotness stopped, the moving object stopped, the biting tongue stoped,I started getting normal again

Sometimes, the psychology around sickness is what really kill, so work on your self, you have been feeding so much chemical to your system, that might be your problem

Where are you from? I mean home town. What is your diet like? How many times in a day do you eat? If you don't list your regular food for a week. It may simply be allergy.

Sorry about what you've been through. But from what I read so far, your health anxiety has turned you into a hypochondriac. I'm sure if you were given a placebo intravenously you will feel well. All I can say is its all in your mind and you will have to purge your mind of the fear of your health status. As far as I am concerned you've taken too much antibiotics between 2007 and now. It's possible that you have messed up your natural bacteria flora and you need to rebuild a fresh colony of friendly bacteria in your system. You can start by taking probiotics or good quality yogurt And see if there are any improvements. I could be wrong though as I am not a doctor but it still is worth a try. Good luck, best wishes!!!
Pls, what type of probiotics or natural yogurt can u recommend that one can get?

If you are intrested in Islamic medication, ask for HABBATU SAUDAH seed... It will be very helpful

He could also get black see oil. Habatul Saudah otherwise know as black seed could be tried.

Rather than take so much medications, you can add a lot of fruits and vegetables to your meals. Check for natural foods with antibiotics ability, natural fruits with anti inflammatory, body detoxifiers etc. They've got no side effects and would do you a lot of good.

Hmmmm

See doctor.
Go and do series of tests again, but do it two or three places to compare the results.

It seems like your way of life and the foods you take are the source of the problems.
Daily, drink a lot of water. I mean so much water.
Try to study foods that are good for your body. Streamline your food intakes to those foods.

Also your lifestyle is important. Try to know what suit you.
You should know that you take too much types of medication.

What is your genotype ?
I am assuming you are AA and not SS.

You should stop taking all drugs, visit a specialist
hospital and explain your symptoms.

I will advice you get an immunodeficiency test(not HIV).
Also change your environment if possible.

You can also limit your diet and watch out for changes in your system
as you re-introduce the foods.

Bro sorry for you predicament but seek proper medical care. Have you done simple Full Blood Count test?

Any sickle cell issues in your family? I guess unlikely but always good to know your status. Good knowing that your HIV status is negative.

You may be abusing medication if you are taking them so often without prescription. Using antibiotics anyhow is a no-no.

Then seek neurological & pain management care.

Results from FBC last month all showed excellent conditions.

Don't give up

If everyone is to list there problem, you will think yours is a blessing.

First, stop taking ciprofloxacin, you are building the bacteria with too much immune, no drug may work again.

Solution : Go to a clinic and Run a test to ascertain the strain of bacteria, what you are doing is blind medication.
Check for typhoid, though Cipro should have helped but you abused it.

Second : you are taking too much drugs, you need a lifestyle change and a Ned diet and nutrition regime.
I doubt if you take fruit, I don't mean orange juice.

Third, for that ulcer, take a litre of water everyday from tomorrow, water is punishment when you are not thirsty but you need to dilute the HCL in your stomach.

Fourth, for that herniated disc, you need to start pelvic floor exercise and try acupuncture too.
Get someone who can massage your back.
Change the height of your chair and stop sitting for long.

Five: Your brain may be having a signal problem especially with a nerve and it is sending pain signal as a sort of comfort. Sometimes our neurons send wrong signal.
Some people actually find comfort in pain
Change your lifestyle again and see a neurologist.

Six: You have to be happy, and be positive. If you add depression to your pain, you will die sooner.

Read this post on depression and solutions
Before you think of giving up, remember this about depression

OP, I think with all your descriptions, Its either you are immunocompromised or have psychological issues with relation to your health. One think that won't help you is the self medication you have been doing. Do not take malaria medicines until you have done MP test and it's positive. Also, do not take ANY antibiotic until you've done your culture tests and specified antibiotics were recommended for you to take in the case of a positive MCS result.

If your issue is psychological, placebo treatments and psychological therapy will solve your problem. If your issue is either immunosuppression or being immunocompromised, it is very pertinent that you get to the root cause.

So I recommend you go see a doctor where full blown checkup will be recommended. The tests you might be recommended to do might include but not limited to FBC, ESR, HIV, Hepatitis B and C, VDRL, E/U/Cr, LFT, Thyroid Function Test, Lipid Profile, blood culture, urine culture, stool culture, Fasting Blood Sugar and/or HBA1C, AFB for TB, Xray, Abdominopelvic Ultrasound, and PSA (if you're above 35)

So go to a good hospital and see a doctor and a psychologist
