Sorry, I didnt get it clearly...i should take the same quantity of the vinegar, lime and honey with the vinegar cover as the measurement?
No, using the cover of vinegar as the measurement for vinegar, take two of it. I don't know the cover of the honey container (if it is the same size of that of vinegar), take one of it. Then extract the juice of a raw lemon. mix them together and add hot water.

You didn't mention in your post of having visited the hospital for a Test except your negative HIV test which probably could have been done at a Lab.

If at all you have been on self medication as i am made to believe your healing won't come soon.

please visit the nearest General Hospital if you don't have money to go to a private clinic . biko

The first time I became aware of me falling sick was in 2007. I was 26 at the time. Since then it has been a myriad of medical troubles.

It has been cycles of malaria, bacterial infections, disc problems and headache. Every night, I take drugs before I could be able to sleep. I always have antimalarials, antibiotics, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and muscle relaxants handy. If malaria symptoms occur, I would take antimalarials and there would be improvement within minutes. And would then complete the dosage in 3 days. By fourth day, symptoms of bacteria infection would occur; I would take ciprofloxacin and get relieved within minutes. Once I complete the dosage, headache would strike, and once aspirin is taken, I get well. But I would keep repeating aspirin every night until gastric ulceration sets in. I would then buy omeprasole and cimetidine to treat ulcer. While ulcer treatment is ongoing, malaria would strike again, and I would take antimalarials. If antimalarials don't work, I would know that the symptoms are bacterial and take antibiotic. If there is no relief, I would combine antimalarials and antibiotic and there would be a relief. It has been like this since 2007. I don't go to hospital again because I have grown to know these symptoms and what doctors would prescribe.

For the past 2 weeks, I have been battling 'herniated disc' problem in my lower back. It started the day I bent down suddenly and I heard a snapping sound at my back bone. I started using norflex, calcium supplement and diclofenac. I feel mild relief because I can't stop my daily hustle to rest while the disc heals. If I dont work in a day, I won't eat or pay bills.

Note that I undergo HIV test almost weekly.

How do the poor tackle medical problems in this hellhole of a country?

Lalasticlal.a, please help me move this to fp.

Dear OP,

I am quite sorry to hear of all your travails.

You sound quite knowledgeable about the medication you have been taking but the way you have been taking them and the way you describe undergoing tests e.g. Weekly HIV tests suggest to me that you have been doing all these things with on your own presumptions or He advice of someone who is not a qualified medical professional. No doctor will ask you to do weekly HIV test when it is widely known that the window period for HIV virus infection to test positive is 6 months!

If I am right my suggestion to you it to go to a certified private hospital run by a consultant physician or go to government teaching hospital (the queues are longer but the cost is lower) and find out what is wrong with you.
You have been self medicating and that has given you additional problems.
The case highlights the importance of getting working through the proper channels and process of getting healthcare:
1. Go to a hospital
2. See a doctor
3. Doctor listens to your complaints
4. Doctor asks further questions
5. Doctor has suspicions as to what the problem is
6. Doctor sends you for tests to confirm or refute those suspicions
7. Doctor treats you based on his suspicions and/or results of the tests

If you have not gone through this process then you cannot fault Nigerian hospitals (that is not to say our healthcare system does not have its problems but let us not make those problems worse by not doing the right thing).

P.S.
To those who tow the line of Nigerian hospitals being rubbish and Nigerian Healthcare professionals (doctors nurses pharmacists etc) being quacks; I leave you with three thing s to think about

1. It was a Nigerian hospital and Lagos State health authorities that showed the rest of the world how best practices in how to contain Ebola. If it wasn't for them this country would have suffered what Liberia suffered.

2. No healthcare system is perfect including the one you want to run to to in the US. See statistics below.

3. Nigerian Hospitals are not necessarily as bad as you think. Just make sure you are in a good hospital and seeing the right type of doctor. Not all doctors ave the same type of training I.e. Clinical specialty.
See CNN's Issa Sassays gratitude to a Nigerian Hospital for saving her mothers life below.

Stop self medication.. You are not a Doctor & people who are weren't playing in Uni for 7yrs...you have most likely killed all the bacteria in your body & that is dangerous...I'm not a Doctor tho...but seek medical attention

Ok, I know I will not be accurate but I understand a little. Dont know if you know maths and ratio. Can you divide it in ratio from ...vinegar : honey : lemon : hotwater. From what I understood, the mixture is ...2:1:2:3 am i correct ? I.e with the same vinegar cup...i will take 2 cups of vinegar, 1 cup of honey, 2 cups of lemon and 3 cups of water? Sorry, I just saw you are mrphysics..lol

I know I have bothered you a lot and hope you dont mind, just trying to get the quantity and mixture that works best.

Follow this solution step by step and thank me later.

Your problem is simple but very deadly and it's called "Acidosis". Your body has become too acidic and toxic killing your body cells and tissues as well as weakening your immune system. The good news is, the body has a self repair system.. all you need to do is reverse the acidic environment and alkalize your body. Many Nigerians suffer from this in varying degrees. Major causes are sitting too much, eating too much, always eating unhealthy food outside/fast food restaurant, poor sleep, stress, food allergies/sensitivities and many others.

It is necessary to go for medical tests that may reveal specific ailments for your doctors to treat. Furthermore, you need to understand that you are your Number 1 doctor as discussed in the few points below.

20 simple solutions

1) Make your own food. Run away from bread, milk and sugar.

2) Eat 3 square meal in moderate quantity (never be too full) and make sure it is always balanced diet. 50% vegetables, 25% protein and 25% carbohydrate. You can garnish with avocado or a teaspoon of cold pressed oil like.. flaxseed, cod fish or black seed oil.

3) Exercise everyday. Just 1 hour walk daily is good enough. Don't push yourself hard. Start with what you can and increase the number of steps you take in a day to average of 10,000 steps (You can buy an activity tracker)

4) Run away from processed food.. they kill slow and steady (indomie, milk, biscuits, gala, cheese, spag, butter, bread, sugar, meat pie, cake etc)

5) Eat your last meal for the day by 6 pm to enable it digest well.. and make sure you eat only little food.

6) Sleep well. Go to bed by 9:30 pm daily and turn off all the lights.

7) Fast: Fasting is an amazing medicine. It helps your body regenerate itself. So start with a 3 day fast then fast like once a week afterwards.

cool Eat organic food gotten from the soil and stay away from items with barcodes on shop shelves (some good food are: potatoes, ofada rice, yam, corn, beans, carrot, garden egg, cabbage etc)

9) Chew your food very well and let it mix with your saliva before you swallow it.

10) Cook with only coconut oil or palm kernel oil (1 table spoon of oil is okay for a day's pot of soup)

11) Don't eat cold or left over food.

12) Avoid the usual table salt and cook with little sea salt.

13) Avoid alcohol.

14) Run away from maggi and use organic food seasoning like rosemary, ginger etc.

15) Don't eat fried and microwaved food.

16) Eat more of scaled fish like croaker and chicken breast without the skin.. than meat. Avoid ponmo, cow leg, goat head, fish head etc.

17) Be careful with fruits because fructose is sugar. Take low quantity and try to steam before eating. Make Vegetables your friend.

18) Drink clean alkaline water.. like 3 to 4 litres daily or as much as you think you need depending on your Body Mass Index (BMI) and physical activities.

19) Embrace personal hygiene.

20) Avoid depression. Have a positive minded person that would always encourage you (I don't mind to be that person you can always talk to through my signature).

Note: We have to be deliberate with life as we are our own best doctor.

Wishing you the best @CrescentMoon and any other person who may learn a few things from this.

First, you are buying lemon fruit not juice. so you are using one fruit of lemon every day.

Using the cover of can water as a measuring tool. (I will call it a cup).

so get 2 cups of Apple Cider Vinegar and 1 cup of lemon.

pour the lemon fruit juice extract + 2 cups of ACV + 1 cup of honey in a teacup. Then add hot water

Currently I use the filtered one. The unfiltered is 8k.
You can get Bragg Vinegar, or Heinz Vinegar.

It's 5% acidic, so you need to dilute it. I apply hot water when I want to drink it.
