Ouch....this does not look good. Have you tried googling what could be the cause?

I think you should do that cos we might not have the information you need.

Stay away from the parrot for now to prevent transmitting of the infection. Afford to inhale it shake off feathers

Two things are probably the reason for this.
It's either the parrot is pretty bored & lonely, and it's plucking it's feather by itself or it has a fungal infection in the body.
If it's bored, get toys for it. If its not bored, take it to a vet. He'll use Terbinafine or itraconazole for the fungal infection.

Possibility of loneliness but if i get another one, wont it infect the new parrot? I google d cause but didnt get suitable answer and there is no vet doc in the place i am. Can anyone recommend what to do?

i had an african gray by name"'milli" (given by my mum) i lost her over a year ago. she ws one hell of a smart girl. she walks in and around the house freely and would occassoonally visit her cage wen hungry. i guess dt hw i ws able to make her still stay in her cage. as for hw i got her to start staying out, it is all in d trust, build a good relationship with ur bird and wen d time comes, u'll knw wen to let them out. mine did fly d 1st time she left d cage. nt immediatly though but she eventually did. i ws scared i had lost her, searched for her all thorough dt nite but found her d nxt morning a few roofsaway undecided. . yea and she ws shivering. i took her home and practised more on letting her roam free around d house. she would reply "yes, come in" wen someone ws at d door, we could clearly call d names of everyone in d house as well as some of our native names. she could easily make tricky sounds like those of bledders, phones, crashing plates and stuffs. she ws a big blessing for my family and made mumcy to start accepting and appreciating pets. nw i have dogs though but then every pet has its own spot to feel. an african gray sells for 35k. i have friends who sell and would also b getting one wen am settled.

Awww..what a lovely story. I'm in love with your parrot already.

How long did it take for her to start coming out of the cage and how were u able to make her come down from the roof?
Re: No Parrot Owners Here? by pawsitive(m): 7:36pm On Jul 04, 2017
roughly 7mnths. simply took her cage to her on the roof and she walked in herself.
