Dear poster!Pls dont forget VO's usually check this thread too and saying one consulate doesnt verify shiiiit dont make sense. There are ways to coin words so you dont spoil show for future applicants .

interview is about God. If it's your time to travel location of interview those not matter. But Abuja is a difficult nut to crack. This is because there have enough time to ask you all the questions in the world and denied a person because of one small mistake but Lagos consulate don't have time to verify document or ask a lot of questions because of too much population. It's an embassy of opportunity and any body can get a visa if you are prepared. Lagos embassy is mainly how good your response is but Abuja you may answer all questions perfectly but the consular is not convinced. Another thing, there re three consular that normally interviewed in Abuja and all three are not so easy to get through. Lagos on the other hand have up to five and only one skinny old looking lady that everyone is complaining about.

Go to seme border and make your sevis payment.
I've seen a lot in the past couple of weeks and I don't want further drama. If you think sevis fee payment is a money making venture, cut the crap! I drive about 6 miles to make the payment, I don't charge you people for gas and some people still have the effrontery to question me.

My name is victor....thank God I found this forum...A friend of my introduced me to his cousin who is helping in my visa processing... I paid some money to him this was in march...he said it would take four months for processing time so last month I called him to find out how far he has gone .... He sent me a financial document which he said he has completed on my behalf..he said it is from the school ... He said he applied for a masters program on my Course which is international relations ....So I checked up the school its Kettering University in Michigan... But it seems to be an all Engineering school ...my question is does anybody know about the school and is it possible to convince the VO with such course ..... Secondly does it really take that long to get a form 1-120 ..... I need advice please to know if am on the right track

You might end up running into trouble or face a ban at the embassy if caught with fake documents ..you need to be careful of things done on your behalf . It could all be packaged lies ...Kettering University is an expensive private uni. How will youpay the fees because even if u get the visa and do not attend then you become out of status that brings problems

Why dont you find a school that suits your needs and go through the school and viss application by yourself. That way you are sure of whats been done

One question sir:
Is MS in International relations offered at Kettering University? I don't see it listed.
Agents have done more harm than good.
If I were you, I'd stop whatever arrangement I have with him/her and start all over by MYSELF.

No one is saying it's heaven. Just letting you know visa stamp isn't a strong advantage during your interview. And everything is based on perspective, and in mine US is better than almost all European countries if not all.

For those who want to follow Royal Air Maroc.

9jaStar:
....if you want to experience hell at the airport.

I am writing this from the airport in Casablanca and I am tired, sleepy, frustrated and very very angry.

These people are rude, unfeeling, callous and just plain dishonest.

But let me start from the beginning. I got my Immigrant Visa last year and decided to fly Air Maroc.

Usually, I fly Delta (got the SkyMiles card to boot). But at that time, Delta needed to leave in a hurry to catch a conference in DC before heading home to the family and so I was seduced not just by the price that RAM offered, but also because it was the next quickest. Less than 5 hours to Casablanca, and another 7-odd hours to DC. So I could leave in the morning, and be in the States same day.

I was concerned about the 14-hour layover on the return leg, but the Arline assured me they had accommodation arrangements per IATA policy.

It looked a great deal, so I took it.

A couple of months after, a US Citizen friend of mine, who hadn't been home in years, told me of the harrowing experience he and his family went through with RAM on that layover.

He vowed never to touch them again even if they offered him seats for free.

Based on that, you can understand how I boarded the flight with a bit of trepidation last night. But I hoped that his tales of woe might be the over reaction of someone who has lived in the States for too long and blows any small inconvenience out of proportion.

How wrong I was.

We arrived in Casablanca nearly an hour behind schedule. Then formed a long, snaking queue at the transit desk to get our hotel vouchers. When it got to my turn, the lady looked at my boarding pass and asked me to go and sit down, that we would be attended to later.

So far, so good. I joined a few others and went to sit down. After about an hour, a man came and asked those of us from DC to come with him. We all went down, he showed us to a bus which we boarded and were taken somewhere.

That's when trouble began. The young man there blocked the entrance and launched into a staccato of Arabic. It took almost half an hour of confusion for us to calm him down and asked him what was going on, he told us we had to return to the transit terminal.

Apparently, there was no space where we had been brought to.

Back to the terminal we headed. Only, there was no bus to take us. So we had to wait in the sun for almost another half hour before they got us a bus.

Back at the transit desk, we were told to queue again for hotel vouchers. Mind you, this wasn't as straightforward as I'm writing, trust me. It took a while, raised voices, hand signs, and near fisticuffs to get to that point.

And so we queued again. Finally, we got hotel vouchers. By the time it got to my turn, some of those who had picked up theirs earlier had returned, saying they were turned back at the hotel reception because they didn't have meal vouchers to go with the hotel ones.

They were told to join the queue again and wait till it was their turn.

Incredible!

Anyway, I finally got my voucher (both hotel and meal, thankfully) and proceeded to the hotel. Got there, only to be told that they are fully booked and the earliest checkout is 9PM!

Yes 9PM.

In case that doesn't compute, let me lay it out.

Land Casablanca at 10am.
Receive hotel voucher 3 hours later at past 1PM
Can't check into hotel till 9PM
Check-in time for flight is 11:15PM
Ergo, we have to perambulate around the airport for 11 hours, then get a room for 2 hours.

How very considerate of Royal Air Maroc.

FINALLY, just like my friend, I've come to a decision. I'm NEVER, EVER flying Air Maroc again.

Not just because of this entire fiasco, but because it was very clear to me that they knew exactly what they were doing.

They have limited accommodation for the passengers coming through, they know this. And so they try all these delay tactics to waste time and end up giving accommodation to only the very few they can accommodate. And their attitude, rather than be courteous is haughtily rude and condescending.

Even if I get a seat for free, I'm tearing up that ticket

Oh my.

Pidgin2:
Air Maroc is horrible apart: from their terribly old planes which they use in Nigeria , they also speak mostly French and Arabic at their airport so there's a language barrier.

Their stop overs are long but if you had known you would have just spent your time at the airport instead at least you would have gotten three generous meals (*3) during your stay there.

My experience with them wasn't good as well but thankfully I had a Cameroonian with me so it wasn't hard to communicate with their staffs

Overall, it wasn't a good experience at all-apart from the meals we ate

Oh my.

All airlines have good and bad reviews. The same Delta he was talking about forcibly kicked passengers off their planes some months ago. Everyone/airline has their good and bad traits. So don't post that of Air Maroc if you won't post the bad reviews of other airlines. Because some people actually have good experiences with the same Air Maroc.

Customer review of Delta.

I had a flight from Fort Lauderdale to Atlanta and connecting flight from Atlanta to Virginia. "Due to weather" we were in the air for an hour on which I got left behind from my connecting flight. I got to the gate at 10.30 and the flight was departing at 10.40 and the plane left early. I was left behind in an airport and city I don't know. I proceeded to the gate where Delta employees were "helping" customers, but in reality they weren't. One employee started yelling at a customer for not standing in a single file line. After waiting for almost an hour to see if I could catch another flight to my final destination, I finally got to the counter and the delta employee was rude, not helpful and wasn't listening to my needs. All he offered was a flight the next day at 12.07 pm and told me if I didn't like it I could get on the phone and find an alternative. So I got on the phone with a Delta representative, explained my situation and she wasn't helpful either. I asked to be put on a flight with the partner airline that was leaving that same night and her response was no. After being on the phone for 45 mins all I got was a flight from atl to Norfolk at 7am. I got to Norfolk at 9.05 so had missed my interview and was also one hour and 30 mins from from my destination. I am not pleased at all with the way Delta managed the situation. On top of all that my connecting flight from Atlanta to Fort Lauderdale got delayed by 2 hours and no information was given on why it was delayed. Needless to say I will not recommend or flight with Delta again!

P.S: I don't work for Air Maroc.
