As you rightly said 'four months later' well, the phone has been the perfect device for me. The best Inhave I have ever used to date with its amazing features, Seamless speed, long lasting battery, sharp camera, huge memory space, in fact the phone is more of a perfect companion that serves in every aspect.

However, my only fear and issue with it is the absence of tampered glass for the screen. Although it uses Gorilla glass protection but am more careful in handling it so as not to allow it fall. It costs 29k to fix the screen if it breaks.

i think getting tempered glass screen guard won't be difficult though.

Damn. and there's something common with Gionee m5 battery. it drains faster once it gets to 50%. Hope it's not the same with the m6 cos that ish is so annoying

The M6 cannot be rooted and u can't install custom roms. Thanks to the strong encryption feature that made it one of the safest phones in the world today.

In fact u don't need rooting or roms as the phone comes with many features. No need for rooting.

At first, I thought it will be a problem for me because i haven't used unrooted device before but after few months, i discovered it's not even necessary on this phone.

Like I said earlier, my only disappointment is the absence of tampered glass

Your reason for uninstalling Bloatware is probably to release and get more memory space and minimize lagging.
Trust me, with the 64GB internal memory and 4GB RAM on this M6, nothing like lagging or memory issues. the 64GB is a big plus. It just rendered my sd card useless as it refuses to get filled as i store stuffs on it

There are some bugs on Gionee M6 firmware.
Please what is the latest firmware for the device, mine is version 5506 and I can't find a new update. Please check yours as I want to confirm if there is indeed no new update or my phone is not searching for firmware update cos it is rooted. You can find your firmware current version in system settings > About Phone > System Updates. Thanks.

Apps like truecaller, weathertimeline, inbox, pocketcast, speakerphoneex, twilight etc.
When you reboot the phone all the apps stop working.. You have to start clicking on individual apps to open them even when you go to system manager to auto start apps.
I used m5 and immediately you switch to off the power saving mode everything works great.
This is very annoying. I even had to switch off doze mode but still getting the annoying apps closing.
I have done a fresh formatting of the phone yet same thing.. I guess the problem is with marshmallows or amigos 3.5

Tap the menu button on the left hand side and longpress on the circle, then select apps you don't want to be closed and add them. to whitelist.
Once this is done, it will not kill apps again

I have done that since and still not getting results. Like for example, inbox is my email app of choice. I don't receive email alert from there but from the default gmail app. I can only get alert from there when I open the inbox app same with all the other apps expect WhatsApp.

In addition to that (selecting app white-list, those apps which you don't want to get closed automatically. You can select all your installed apps so any won't close without your intention) ; goto settings > display > multi task display style > set to Card style. The auto app closing should stop. Thank me later

How does one uses custom font on gionee m6?? The default fonts are too generic.. Apps like ifont doesn't change the font on this font.. Any suggestions?
