*How To Calculate Your OAU Screening Score*

This is to inform all OAU Aspirant that they can calculate their screening marks using
UTME/ O'level 50:50 ratio utilised last year.
How to Calculate Screening.

1. Both the UTME score and your O'level results' grades are computed to assess you.

2. For the screening, UTME result weighs 50% of your total score and the remaining 50% from your O'level results.

3. Your best 8 subjects are computed; With A1 = 8, B2 =7, B3 = 6, C4 = 5, C5 = 4, C6 = 3, and so on.

4. Maximum points from your best 8 O'level subjects is 64( A1 = 8 X 8 subjects).

5. Your O'level points is then converted to 50% (Assuming is your O'level points, then, it will now be calculated thus: Total best 8 O'Level points /64 X 50).
6. For your UTME points, it will be calculated thus: Your UTME score/400 X 50.

7. Your final merged score, which will be used for admission now = UTME points (maximum of 50) + O' level points (maximum of 50) = 100.

*All Aspirants are to note that no official cutoff mark have been released and the above calculation method was used last year and not guaranteed to remain this year.*

JAMB commences sale of Direct Entry forms

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has commenced the sale of the 2017 Direct Entry application form.

According to the board sale of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination form for foreign students and Nigerians who are based abroad has also commenced.
The board also said that students who went through the Joint Universities Preliminary Examination Board programme in various universities in the country are expected to obtain the DE form in order to gain admission into 200 level.

The Head of Information, JAMB, Mr.Fabian Benjamin, said this on Tuesday in a press statement made available to our correspondent.Benjamin who said that the board has yet to commence the process for the change of course and institution for candidates, warned candidates not to pay the N5,500 cost of the form into individual accounts.

He said, “The process is as it was with the UTME where you create a profile and obtain the pins and proceed for biometric capturing at the CBT centres for Direct Entry candidates.

We urge all candidates wishing to register through DE to obtain the pins at Interswitch, Remita or any of the commercial banks approved earlier for the vending of UTME pins.

“The board also wishes to state that it has not commenced the change of course and institutions.

We will soon begin and when we do start, the changes will be done in all approved CBT centres nationwide. Candidates need not necessarily come to the board’s centres. It can be done in any of the CBT centres.

This is to avoid overcrowding of our offices for services that can be obtained at the utmost comfort by the candidates.
“The delay has been occasioned by our preparation to ensure that the system is smooth and without encumbrances.

The public is urged to note that every candidate desirous of a change of course or institution will be allowed to do so as the platform will be open until the close of admission.

In view of this, candidates are not to patronise any fraudulent individuals or organisations but to visit approved CBT centres and never to hesitate to cross check any information they are not clear about.’’
