Doing well in IELTS is the key to high marks.

tbaby2015:
Good morning pple,

I believe this my testimony will encourage someone. I just saw myvIELTS results and I could only praise God. This was my third attempt and it was a bit tiring for me.

1st attempt FEB 16 : LRWS 7.5/8.5/6.5/7.5
2nd attempt March 25: LRWS 9/7.5/6.5/8

Now, I was enthusiastic about applying for a remark in writing, so I did, but was disappointed after 10weeks, no change embarassed

Then, it occurred to me...what could b wrong with my writing? So, I started preparing afresh, ieltsliz, Cambridge etc untilbi discovered it, I was not using much of vocabs and complex sentences! So, this time, I focused more and tried to improve. Wrote lots of essays, letters before d day and God blessed my efforts.

Now my results are: LRWS 8.5/7.5/7/8

bringing my CRS from 386 to 435

So for those yet to write or not there yet, don't give up, just keep Ur dreams alive. Anything is possible if u persevere.

Nice weekend y'all!

If someone cannot provide contract letter and first pay slip, will the letter from place of work be enough evidence for proof of work experience for ONP? Asking for someone who has got ONP NOI? Pls what documents does the person need to submit in other to be nominated by Ontario?

Okay, I am guessing you are currently outside Nigeria.

How did mine.... The finger print form was sent to me through a friend and I did the finger printing by myself, then scanned it very clearly back to him after which he took it to alagbon inclusive of my passport copy and photograph to collect the PCC.

He sent the hardcopy to me and I took it to Nigeria embassy where I am for further authentication.

I can get the number of the police officer for you but you will definitely need to send a friend there to collect the PCC for you.

Note that according to IRCC, you have to collect Nigeria's PCC at a time you are not in Nigeria if you are currently living outside Nigeria, so going home to collect it may not be a good option.

Thanks a lot, please send me the contact of the police officer, will need it. Will look for a friend to send.
Thanks

Hello, thank you for sharing your story. Please i will like to have more information on the following

1. please what did you show to support your proof of compensation - (pay stub, bank statement and all) i read in the application guide that for proof of compensation we have to provide these
Pay stubs, pay cheques or pay statements,
 Bank statements showing salary deposits,
 Income tax documents, or
 Letter(s) from employer(s) explaining why this proof is not readily available.
Note: It is recommended that you provide proof for the first and last month for each work experience
.
(the income tax document and the NOTE that is my concern)

2 did you have to maintain the settlement fund as your minimum balance for 6 months prior to your application?

3 How did you show your intent to reside in Ontario?

Please forgive my plenty questions . thanks for quick response

Ljay17:
Hi folks,

In keeping with the celebratory mood of the forum, I'd like to share my own 'small' victory.

I received my OINP Nomination earlier today.
CRS updated to 1008
Primary NOC: 6235
IELTS: LSRW 9, 8.5, 8.5, 7

See timeline below:

EE Created: 06.06.2017
NOI: 09.06.2017
OneKey Reg 13.06.2017
Profile Withdrawn by OINP 28.06.2017...after the 14 day deadline
New Profile Created 02.07.2017
AOR: 03.07.2017
Assessment: 06.07.2017
DIP: 18.07.2017
Nomination: 19.07.17
ITA sitting back for the next draw smiley smiley smiley

My advise, if your CRS score is below 410 and you can afford the CAD1,500 OINP fee, by all means go for it!!! Secondly, make sure you submit all requested documents in one go. It makes decision making smooth and reduces processing time. Finally, as you may have noticed in my timeline, I registered the OneKey account and couldn't submit my application within the 14-day deadline, subsequently OINP withdrew that file. I simply created another file and then submitted with LOE stating that I was unable to submit due to incomplete docs.

Wish everyone else waiting for the good news all the best.

Open to answer any questions regarding OINP

I am a silent reader of this thread and I have benefited immensely from the contributions here which is why I am motivated to give back especially because my case is peculiar so I hope it will encourage or help someone. please before I begin, I would like to encourage people to read the thread from beginning before coming to ask questions that have been flogged and over flogged on the thread. It makes the thread unnecessarily long which in turn discourages people who would have actually put in effort to start from the beginning and there are little important inputs within that would help someone which could be missed if one does not read through.

My degree is in law but my NOC is in management ." Iphie's "posts led me to use IQAS for my evaluation instead of the popular WES because an LLB is awarded more marks as professional degree which going through WES doesn't give. This boosted my CRS. I evaluated only my degree certificate. You do not need to evaluate law school Certificate.I don't have an LLM. my CRS score was 407 so I had to apply through Ontario. I received NOI in April, applied may 20th and got nominated June 26th with 600points which boosted my score to 1007. I don't have reference letter (which is a very important document in the express entry process) because the company I worked for was shut down. so in place of reference letter, I provided a letter (in form of a reference letter) written(typed actually) by me and notarized by a notary public stating everything that is required to be written in a reference letter. regarding the format of the letter, I started the letter in the form of an affidavit (I, Dolly Parton, hereby declare that...) and not like a proper formal letter with addresses. Also, I attached all my contract/employment letters which had my salary, job roles and position stated, income tax certificate,6 pay stubs and my first and last bank statements showing salary deposits . Before applying for OINP(ontario Immigration nominee program) please ensure that you request your duplicate ECA to be sent to OINP from whatever evaluation company you used. This will reduce any delay in processing your application. The process of requesting for duplicate ECA from IQAS got irritating cos they requested I send hard copies of my request form which cost me more because I used EMS express whom also did not deliver my documents on time(supposed to be 5 days but took up to 2-3weeks). I was fortunate to get a reply from a better informed IQAS representative before EMS was able to deliver my duplicate request form to IQAS, that advised that I could send the requested application copies by fax which was received immediately .why I said "better informed " is because prior to sending my documents through EMS, another representative had responded to my enquiry that IQAS doesn't receive faxed documents .About the fax, I used a free fax service I found online gotfreefax.com. I was able to fax the documents for free to IQAS .There are other online fax services you can use to send fax. All you have to do is scan your documents and send it through their fax link and it gets delivered to the fax machine. There are usually instructions on the websites/apps about how to get it done. (I love how much the internet has made life easier) . Lateness in requesting your duplicate to be sent to OINP can delay your application. Recently, some applications have been processed within a week. I got ITA after the nomination last week .I think I have said all that needs to be said. More information on OINP human capital stream can be found on http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/oinp-ee-human-capital-priorities-stream-comprehensive-guide.396543/page-315

After receiving nomination, OINP Will deliver the nomination certificate to you through express mail. mine arrived after 7 days of nomination . When filling my ITA online, I noticed there was no place for uploading the nomination certificate but had read somewhere that CIC usually requests for it. so what I did (which I read somewhere that others also do) was to upload the nomination certificate together with the LOE .my LOE also explained the reason why I don't have a reference letter and that my POF (treasury bill) is from my husband because the treasury bill statements are in his name. He also wrote a letter stating that he's giving me access to the funds which we uploaded to the POF section.

OINP is definitely expensive and cumbersome to apply for because they request for more documents than CIC did ,but it can be done. Yes, I did it on my own without an agent .I understand that this application process can seem too much for some to manage themselves but I believe with patience and research, it can be done. Hope my post helps someone. Once again ,I appreciate the people who contribute to this thread. God bless you abundantly.

IELTS test has four component which are
Listening
Writing
Reading
Speaking.
Your score in each of the band determines what you get as an overall band.
CLB 7 and higher is required for EE through FSW category.

Hello guys,
I have following the thread but assiduously as I would have liked. Just have some request:
1. I will need some to link me with who can get me my transcript quickly from OAU although I have an original with me, it isn't sealed as mandated by both IQAS or WES for my ECA.
2. Also, I need a sample of the reference letter to be written. The places I worked asked that I send them a template to see and write out. They are a single partnership and I was the one doing most of their administrative functions.
Thanks and keep the good works

Hello everyone,

Please I need help with the following questions.
1. In the address history, must I list all places lived in, including places travelled to for short periods?

2. In the ID document, do I list my old and new passport?

3. Under education, I have two degrees, a BSc and MD. I only have ECA for the BSc. Do I list both qualifications in education? Or I list only the BSc and then mention the MD in personal history?

Thank you.

if you can please add the IM008 or a letter saying your family composition has not changed.
I did not add it to mine , and was worried so i submitted it through the web form.

the issue is just following instructions to be on the safe side , they said failure to do so might delay the visa process.

Its possible that its not mandatory thou.

One more question though, My wife's brother recently got married to his fiancee(she lives in Canada, came to Nigeria for the wedding) that I believe is a PR or Citizen, do you think this counts for additional points for us in the EE pool where it was asked if we have any family living in Canada? My wife is the primary applicant and our estimated CRS score is below 400. Thanks for your time.

In theory, form IMM008 is not supposed to be compulsory if your family configuration remains unchanged but the experiences of those ahead of us suggests that it may cause delays in visa issuance. Learned that some have had to raise CSEs in order to send this form eventually.

It is for the above reason that it is usually advisable to submit the form along with other requirements even if your family composition remains unchanged and therefore escape avoidable delay.

In my case, what I did was to write a letter stating that there has been no changes in our family configuration. I "hand-filled" the IMM008 form (unable to fill online) and wrote boldly at the top "no changes in family configuration". Also, on delivery of the passports to Accra, I followed up with an email stating same message. Cheers

Hi @IAMCOMING

The proof of compensation requirement is designed to further reinforce claims that you were employed and were paid for your services... not that you just got somebody to write you a reference letter. You don't have to provide everything mentioned in the guide. Pay slips or Bank Statements showing salary credits to your account is enough. If you have income tax clearance certificates, you can include those as well. I approached my Bank to print out my first 3 months bank statement (which was in 2005 and my last three months( which was 2015) even though the account had been closed two years ago. They obliged me.

Secondly my settlement fund was in the form of a savings plan that had been growing steadily for more than 4 years. I didn't have the cash in my bank but I still presented my Bank Statement. I got my fund manager to write me letter stating the current balance on my savings plan and the surrender value should I decide to liquidate into cash immediately.

Finally, I did some research on the Province and wrote a short piece enumerating my the personal skills, qualification, work experience and my excellent English skills as demonstrated by good scores in IELTS. I ended by mentioning that I had an aunt who resides in Ontario who had promised to ensure a seamless integration into the society and culture for my family.

Hope this helps.

Good luck!

Anyway, I did part-time MBA too and I don't think it affected the calculation of my work experience in any way. Yet to come across that issue in respect of Canadian immigration. Maybe for Australian skill assessment....
