30years later in 1991 it doubled 90 million, 55 years later in 2016 it quadrupled to 180 million. Currently Nigerians population is nearly 200million. If we continue with this madness called high rate of natality in which the north is apparently taking the lead, it will become so difficult for our kids in the next 50 to survive in this country.

China has a population of almost 2billion with enough industries to employ all. To me the population is not the problem rather our problem stems from the management of the available resources.

I am really unhappy with Senator Ben Bruce. My reason is because I don't understand the man. He is a senator and that provides him a platform to effect the change he really wants in Nigeria. If he wants to boost employment, he can sponsor a bill aimed at boosting employment. However, all we hear from him is TALKS and no action. China implemented a one child policy to stimulate economic growth . They only stopped it recently

I've always held same opinion as you do now, but after some studies I now see that I was wrong. Do read more about China, if she hadn't introduced a birth control policy, it'd have been worse than India.
Population is never an advantage for survival when the resources are almost nonexistent or obviously limited.
Can you imagine how this country would look like if by 2020 we're 500million. More schools have to be built more graduates will be produced for the limited vacancies more joblessness more poverty more and more of everything negative

The big 3 in our constitution is the reason also for Nigeria backwardness that's hausa-fulani, igbo and the yoruba. By default they are mentally wired to dominate the minority tribe whose resources feed the Big3
Take for example the north with a religion that support 4-100 wives & uncountable children who at the end of the day still perforate the soil of the minority via street begging, scavengers & what have you.

One way to put a control to this is succession and let each region or state control their resources and the almajiries breeders can then continue giving birth as they like to their own detriment but is unfortunate I'm sharing same geographic space with these parasitic human dogs & rats. Pathetic!

Ben Bruce should volunteer to reduce his salary and that of his fellow senators and representatives as well as other public servants in line with our minimum wage of N18,000 so that money is released for building and equipping more primary, vocational and secondary schools to educate all our children and create employment.
When people are busy working and following up on their children's education, naturally they will have less time for more babies.
That is common sense, which he should know easily.

This is very true.
Sometimes when I look at beggars with lots of children by their sides. .some of them have twins with other kids. .I've seen a beggar with two sets of twins. . .it makes me wonder if one is supposed to pity them. .how can you be this poor begging for money and still h*rny enough to keep giving birth to more children. .while regular people have few kids and know when to hold themselves back from producing more. .poor people on the other hand keep bringing children who they can't guarantee their upbringing, education. .some of these parents hardly even care. .they just keep producing more.
