Your online application has been received at the UK Decision Making Centre.  Your application is currently being prepared for consideration by an Entry Clearance Officer.

If you have made a Settlement application (except for applications lodged in USA and Canada): you must ensure that your UK sponsor has sent all relevant supporting documentation to the UK Decision Making Centre in Sheffield.  The documents should be arranged in this order: application form and relevant Appendix* (See below); English language evidence; relationship documents; maintenance documents; accommodation documents.   If documents are not received a decision will be taken on the basis on the information that has been provided.

If you have already had your supporting documents scanned in at the Visa Application Centre, or if you have already sent them in to us, please ignore the request for documents.

Please note that UKVI aims to complete all Visit Visa applications within 15 working days and all Settlement Visa applications within 12 weeks of the application date.  If it is not possible to complete your application within this timeframe a member of our team will contact you to explain why.

If you have paid for Priority Service, your application will be placed in front of the queue and assessed ahead of other non-priority visa applications.  As indicated in the terms of service, the amount paid for the priority service, as well as the visa fees, is not refundable if the visa application is refused or if the decision is delayed.

We regret that we are unable to respond to enquiries asking about the status of any application.  Any status enquiry should be made to the international enquiry service, details of which are on the GOV.UK website.  Staff at Embassies, visa processing centres and visa application centres cannot assist with visa enquiries.  You may also wish to view the current processing times for applications made in your country.

A further email will be sent to you to confirm when your application has been assessed and dispatched.  If your application was made in a Visa Application Centre, the staff there will contact you when your documents are ready – please do not attend the Centre until you are requested to do so.

Please note that you are advised not to purchase flight tickets until you have secured a visa for travel to the UK.

All submited document are scanned in the presence of the applicant. The documents are separated into sections and scanned according to itemised documentation request on UKVI websites.

Hmm, that's interesting. I just hope it won't be messy having TLS separate the documents themselves; and they shouldn't consider any document irrelevant as the respective applicants know what documents they deem would boost their application.

Is it advisable to give them UKVI a call, this waiting is honestly getting out of hand. What number can someone call aside from the £1.37 call cost number ? And toll free line pls
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by Sagamaje(m): 1:02pm On Aug 06, 2017
@ Iwasnothere , that's d only line and the worst is that they will remove 20 pounds initially from ur card to be sure u av can to pay before they will later remove the main call charge. They removed 40 pounds from my card and they are to return it after removing the main call charges
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by iWasNotHere(m): 1:32pm On Aug 06, 2017
Then no need to call them, pay such money to speak to a human being. Never

The decision is entirely yours to make. This is peak season and UKVI have not been meeting their 15 working days window. To be honest, your chances are slim. Even when a decision is made on your application, TLS still has to send you a collection email. From the time a decision is made on your application to the time you get your passport back, it can take 10 days.

It is the responsibility of the applicant to sort out the documentation into relevant sections. Sometimes TLC can offer to do this at a fee. Applicant should insist on submitting documents consider irrelevant by TLC if it will help their case. The following documents will not be collected or scan. Printed application form, photos, any document not in A4 size.

I have never use the pay call before. If the deduction was automatically, then your refund should be also automatically.

Dear Gurus in the house! I applied for a visit visa and paid for a priority service on July 20. Got the general confirmation from Sheffield the following day. I understand that priority service usually takes 5 working days. After 5 working days, I contacted the UKVI by call and email but got a generic response.

What do you suggest?

Thank you guys!

The 5 working days window for priority does not mean it is 5 days by default. It is only advisory and it means most people get a decision within 5 days. However if an applicant's application is complex UKVI would not be subjected to pressure to decide in 5 days.

Thanks so much @Brightingsus for your kind responses. The purpose of the visa was to attend a PM training but the training date has gone already. The training was to hold on August 1. But I did indicate I will also go for sightseeing after the training.

Good morning house,
Seeing people's complain here made me create an ID, I stumbled on this link yesterday.
My office is sending me on a training to London in October and they are just going to start processing our visas this week, I have another interview with US embassy before mid October... Pls I would like to know if my UK visa would be ready before then as I have already booked an appointment with US embassy.

Gurus in the house please assist.

Thanks
No one knows how long it will take, your application might be straight forward. Ensure every application is priority service and you should be fine. Remember the earlier the better

Good. As long as you you included places of interest that will aid your sightseeing, your Aug 1 training date being past should not count against you.
