DELAY IN THE DELIVERY OF ISSUED US VISA

Hi everyone,

I am new to the forum and I need about about delay in the collection of my issued visa.

I had my interview at the US embassy in Lagos on the 21st of July, last month. The interview was very short successful asndI was issued a white paper to pickup my visa and passport after 3 working days. All that the vo asked me was about my course (forest biometrics) which I told her in a very simple and straight forward way, and my plans after graduate school ( I answered to pickup a pending lecturing job at hand).

The challenge I am currently facing is that the 3 working days as passed and this is the third week of waiting with no response. I complained after two weeks via mail. The Desk Service Officer response was that it is still undergoing administrative processing for several weeks and can't tell when it would be ready. This is seriously confusing as I remain clueless as to the cause of the delay. I have been to the collection centre twice but it was unavailable.

Please I need help, advice or direction on what to do about this. Kindly help a brother here?

NB: School resumes by 14th of Aug, this month.

Gurus in the house please help a brother?

Yes, you can. Thats what I used for the whole schools I applied to and I got admitted to all of them without problems.
If you have your waec send it instead. It's when you don't have your waec you should send highschool transcripts.
Do you mind telling me the name of the schools ?

Greetings House!

I know information about getting Insurance plans for International students at 'cheaper rates' was discussed months back. I am trying to figure out if it was in Part 11 or Part 12. Can anyone with valuable information with respect to this kindly help?

Thanks.

Hello gurus!! I will be going for my 2nd interview next week. I have prepared a transcript. Pls help me criticise and advice me on this...

Why BYUI?

Of all the schools I applied to, ByuI's mechanical engineering curriculum offered me a discipline in two courses I'm interested in. That it mechatronics and robotics and thermal science. Moreover, I have been checked in in an ongoing project, that is the supermileage dynanometer project. This project involves us building a dynanometer that mimics the load a car experiences when its on the road including measuring the engine efficiency and torque effect on the wheels.  This knowledge will help optimize the vehicle for a longer, safe and more effective use. This is really needed in Africa, and I believe this would be great way to start up my career.

What will this course do for you?

It will help with the technical skills, knowledge, experience and exposure to work in an automotive firm like innoson motors or an oil company like chevron and also help me achieve my goal of one day owning my automotive firm.

What have you been doing since high school graduation in 2014?

When i finished highschool in june 2014, by September 2014, I started a computer training institute, computer gradens institute, i did this for three months.  Then by February 2015, I started helping out in my dad's medium scale plumbing firm. I helped in transporting pipes, plumbing machines and tools and also fix them in homes and offices. I was also he engineer, i fixed the machines when they are spoilt.

What is your study plan?

I will be starting ByuI by September 8th, for my bachelors degree in mechanical engineering. I will be required to take 120 credits in a duration of 48 months. When I graduate I will come back to Nigeria to work for a multinational firm,  say Innoson motors or chevron.

Did you take sat?

No, it was waived. I took TOEFL  and i got 87

Why did you apply to only schools in the Midwest?

Its just coincidence. I searched for schools that offered great domain for practical learning, and I came up with these three schools.

How did you hear about the school?

I searched for schools that offered practical learning with great mentorship programs using usnews and Princeton review. That's how i found the school.

Mention some courses you'll be taking.

Introduction to engineering
Parametric CAD
Science foundation .

Who will be sponsoring you?

My dad. He is the treasury manager at XXXX and he also owns his plumbing firm.
Somebody Help!!!!!
I take God beg una

a post here by Femi321 with this comment ; What the Hell? $1300? wow, you have money to throw around. Anyway you can use

http://www.InternationalStudentInsurance.com

but you will have to check the requirements for health insurance in your school first to be sure it meets any of the plans.

I decided to help my dad out in his firm, to bring more fund home and I also did that to gain basic practical knowledge of mechanical engineering, since we don't do practical learning in highschools here.
