The exchange rate (Official) has not changed.
What you have is a situation where the online FX quotes are using the parallel market rates which is kinda realistic considering there's no place where you would be able to get these currencies at any other rate except the parallel rates

omesanni:
Hi guys,
I have noticed that the money I have in the POF i submitted in my application is depreciating due to the recent spike in exchange rate. When i submitted my application in June , I had like CAD$16,600 and today with the new exchange rate its like $13,700 and its getting ever so close to that CAD$12,300 for a single applicant. This is really annoying me because all through last year i was monitoring the exchange rate for canadian dollar and it was always around 230-240 dolls even when i submitted my application is was like 237 and now all of a suddent today it rose to 289. I don't even understand why it is rising given that canadian dollar is not in demand in Nigeria like it is with the U.S dollar.

Given all this, is it possible for me to submit an extra POF document to supplement the one I previously submitted? My application status is currently IP1 and i don't want my funds to always be in a situation where it is always sufficient. I am just praying the canadian dollar never reaches the rates of the U.S dollar levels. As long as the rates are under 300, i'll be fine.

Thanks for your anticipated assistance

Hi knowledgeable people, I registered for IELTS yesterday and one of the payment methods is to use the state code plus the proposed month for writing the test and last two digits of international passport as account number. In my case, the account number is supposed to be 9952020691 since I'll be writing it in Lagos by September.
However, when I tried paying through mobile banking on gtbank, I was told that the account number does not exist. Please, how do I go about payment as I was given 5 days to effect the payment or lose my slot; I have 4days left?

The beneficiary bank is Standard Chartered Bank.
If you follow the instructions religiously, it will vaildate and show British Council.
Best of luck

Abeg I have one question concerning my application.

I dropped my middle name sometime after university and have not used it since then. That means my middle name is on my transcript, certificate and of course ECA. All docs appearing after uni, like coy docs, bank acc docs after uni, newest passport & ielts etc, don't have this middle name. Is this an issue or non-issue for this Canadian PR thing?

Advise pls.

Hello guys,

When creating the EE profile, do I need to include all my work experience or just the experience I am using to claim points?I don't have reference for other employment.

Hi Capiti. Include only the one you are claiming points for. After ITA, you write all others in personal history.

Yemdogg u are a great guy,God bless you.
Just remembered now that i was examined by the same lady that examined me for my speaking test during my May exams. Before i went in, i saw her taking a ergo break to stretch.I was sitted next to her office/examining room. She asked me if i was her candidate,i said no.Thinking you can’t be examined twice by the same person. It was the British Council official that corrected me that she's my examiner. I told the official that she examined me the last time, she just grinned, that's all.
In my mind i was like same Mrs Akpan. I just said to myself that its just a coincidence. I got 7 in speaking then. I don't think that should be the cause, just exploring.
I will just take a sip of soda drink, keep my head high and expect the best.I will write a good reply to the e-mail.Trying to get all advise i can get on here.

P.S: I have a very good handwriting, close to a computer. Not exaggerating. Can the marker be thinking how can someone have such legible handwriting. grin just thinking out loud. Many things running through my mind.

This cracked me up. Don't worry, my handwriting is like a computer not just close to it. I have awards for it grin. And I got 8.5 in writing smiley so no worries about that.

You can go to GTBank and do the transfer at the bank. They may tell you the account number is invalid, but insist it is correct.

Hello all,

I have been carefully going through the thread and i have some questions to ask. My IELTS scores were really good with 8.0 in all components. I studied biomedical science and my qualification is equivalent to medical laboratory technologist i think. But the issue i'm having is that, for work experience, i have a year experience working in a reputable teaching hospital but I was not paid. For work experience to count, do I need to prove that it was paid? even though i could easily get a reference letter from my supervisor? Also, for degree evaluation, how do i go about it? These are the two main areas drawing me back right now. Any help would be really appreciated Thnak you.

I cant remember where i read of a "one and same person affidavit"
I leave it to u our resident search engine to find d post.
Also as always said here, IRCC is favourably disposed to sworn affidavit.
so think of that too.
