Thanks once again. I have learnt a lot from this Forum. I only got my zero balance statement from ideas share here. Never occured to me all the while. So few days ago, i called up the hospital and had them send me all receipts and zero balance statement. You all have been so helpful.

Secondly, i was hoping invitation will increase my chances though first time, we didnt use any invitation but i had heavy supporting documents and bank statement. Things have changed now and that has my confidence shaken but all the same, fingers crossed

shrekandfiona:

Since your hubby is the one with the benefits of the resident permit, I'll suggest he applies with you. It will give you an edge.

Your reason for overstaying is a strong and honest one. Explain it. Hopefully the VO will reason with you.

Its okay to be anxious but you need to relax a bit. I also did my renewal a few weeks back though via dropbox. I was called for an interview. Was anxious as well. But only 2 questions were asked. 1st was how much i paid when i went for delivery, 2nd was if i was going for medical purpose of which my answer was no as i am done with childbirth. My passport was ready the next day for pickup.

So i'll reiterate that you pick B2(medical) instead of vacation for your reason this time. Once given, you can still go on your vacation trip b4 childbirth.

All the best dear.

Hello house,
My wife attended usa interview last week Thurs, 10 Aug 2017, she's issued d visa and told to come after 3 working days, when she got to the pick up centre, she was told that her application is under Administrative Processing. We did birth visa for her. Altho, she was issued visa around June but was deported at the Port of Entry on d ground that she hasnt paid d hospital bills, when she got to naija, we paid all d bills and reapplied. The interview was successful but the pick up is now the issue. Pls any Visa Officer around, do you think that my wife will still meet up the appointment? Besides, she's heavily pregnant and has just a few months left. How long do u think the AP would take? How can we hasten up their AP? As we speak, her flight ticket has been bought against 17 Aug.

Thanks brothers

Thanks and God bless i am trying to know if i can still try again cos is time frame not that i am desperate. Besides she applied with my son and i guess the denial was due to the fact that she was going with my son alone...So i will make her apply alone. If there is any further assistance need i will consult you..
shrekandfiona:

Hello abdulmaj, you sound desperate. Please relax and take a deep breathe.

Yes you can reapply, since your wife applied alone and was denied, maybe its time you applied with her.

Work on your transcript. What you posted is poor, there was nothing convincing in that transcript.

You both own a farm. Talk about it with pride as a tie to your home country. Like this: We both run a farm & fishery and we supply agricultural products and equipments to federal establishments, hotels, traders etc. We also train and equip upcoming farmers etc modify this in your terms.

Increase your budget and make sure you have an evidence incase they ask to see.

Do you have good travel history together or individually? That can also be used to assess you.

Read parts 1-3 and pray hard.

Good luck and stay calm okay smiley

Administrative process can be a bit tricky,in the sense that it can be under AP and it will be ready for pick up the next day. The whole waiting period between interview and collection for all the people i know ( me included) has not been more than a week.I will advice you push her departure date backwards. Sadly i don't think you guys can do anything to hasten it up. When is she due? Hope you've checked airline policy for carrying pregnant women. I stand corrected, but i don't think think missing doctors appointment is such a big deal,it can always be rescheduled.

This is really sad. Have you tried tracking her passport on the CEAC (or something) website to see what's going on? It's kind of weird that she will be approved for a visa and sent to Admin Processing without any notification from them. Maybe they're trying to verify information. What POE did she try and enter the US from initially?

And low Babatwi said, there's nothing you can do to hasten up the process. They are done when they are done. Could take 1 day, could take 3 months. When is she due?

No way around it, scanned copy are not accepted. He has to courier it to you. Some courier companies have fast services or he goes to the airport to look for someone going to your city

Same day / 24 hours you have to go to the passport office yourself. Using a post office service, minimum wait time is at least 4 weeks or 6 like you have been told

Nigerian visa....hmm. I haven't logged in for over three months but a quick scan of the page show lots of people now use visa on arrival. Madam, if only you have bothered to read you would have been equipped with everything you need to handle your emergency

All the best
Please clarify me, someone told me she used two weeks max to get her LO passport, so how long does it take exactly to get it, 4weeks is too much. You wouldnt b able to finish up before your return date. Can you tell me how to go about it so it could b faster.

I have used travelstart to US and dubai without issue. I used them to book an air France flight to usa for a colleague about 2 weeks ago and he travelled without issue. I used them in booking an airfrance flight for my trip to usa this weekend and was notified of some minor changes in the itinerary. Overall, the experience has been ok but I usually go to www.checkmytrip.com to confirm my bookings and keep abreast of any change in itinerary.

GucciOluwa:
Good morning house. Please has anyone booked their flight through travelstart before? Did you encounter any challenge (esp as regards date change)? I called airfrance and also checked their site, tickets to Minneapolis are 800k plus but on travelstart and wakanow it's a little above 500k.
I booked my flight months ago to fly with Turkish airlines but I intend to leave earlier and the present fare difference is over 300k so I want to cancel and book airfrance.
Kindly respond.
Have a fruitful day.

I think the issues people raised with travelstart & wakanow is not with their credibility,( i myself have used wakanow a couple of times to the US and they were ok) I think what she is concerned with is how easy & affordable is it to change the return date in case baby shows up early or late, and how easy & affordable is it to add baby to mothers ticket Without breaking the bank. I think these are the concerns.
Pls anyone that has bought those really cheap tickets for birthing trips should help with these concerns, because at times, the issues has to do with the class of tickets we get for those deals

Yeah bro, if the AP is within a week, I can hope for the better. However, if it passes 5 days, I guess she wouldn't be granted "fit to fly" letter anymore. In fact, I can say she's due for delivery.

The only way you can get a closer date is if you keep checking after intervals, this had happened to me sometime ago,the 1st time i checked, i got a date of 6wks ahead,i dint give up till i got a convenient date of 2wks ahead and i booked my appointment for 2wks ahead. so keep refreshing the page Until you get a closer date. Like @favoredgal has told you, the fastest way to get your LO's passport is by going to the passport office yourself. You can get it that same day or the next. Using the post office gives you a wait time of 4-6weeks but some people have been known to receive theirs quicker than that (just by chance/sheer luck)

Abeg clarify,

She was deported at the Port of Entry because she could not prove financial buoyancy, truth be told, we forgot d document on the dining table, altho she had her document backed up on her phone but the immigration officer denied her access to her phone, the guy wanted hard copies I guess. She went with no document apart from 6k dollars, her credit card of 4k dollars, and Form A - which is used to make dollar payments.

Thanks shawlar
