Tanx. I actually do press my breast into his mouth and milk comes out so I don't know y he
My daughter totally refused to suck my boobs from when she was born and i really wanted to feed her breastmilk exclusively till she turned 6months. So i was compelled to pump out milk using an electronic breast pump. With this , i pumped out milk 3 times daily. For every pumping session i get about 20 ounces of milk.
i would advise that you pump out milk so as to gauge the quantity your baby consumes while still putting him on your boobs to suck till he gets used to it.

Abeg make Una no vex
I've been really ill.
Finally went to the hospital yesterday and results show malaria plus plus. The Doctor decided to place me on arthemeter injections for 3 days first before I start taking arthemeter drugs and pcm
These are the drugs I was given

Usually before I take any drugs I use an app on my phone to check and be sure it wont affect my son but I can't seem to find anything about these ones

I hope its safe o

Coughing up blood is a symptom of tuberculosis. The test needs to be done do you can be sure that is not what it is. I pray it is not because TB is very contagious and you, your family and even neighbours are at risk. My eldest sister caught it from her neighbor during service year . When she came home she had to be isolated and had her own plate cup and cutlery which no one else could use. The treatment was injection for more than a month, this was more than 20 yrs back so I don't know the current treatment.
Until you are sure it's not please keep her away from the baby . I don't know your location but it seems some hospitals offer free testing and treatment I will make enquiries and revert.

You didn't clarify properly. Is it that he does not cry at all as in no crying sound like babies do or is it that he makes crying sounds with no tears.
If he makes no crying sound was it that way at birth. If it's just that he cries but no tears then you have no cause to worry. My 7 month old had the same issue even now when he cries the tears are minimal. It has to do with their tear ducts some babies own just takes time to develop.

From my findings TB testing and treatment is supposed to be free at public hospitals. I don't know what is happening at your end. I also saw an ngo that handles such. It is called Foundation for family values (FFVHOE). They are based in Abuja but call them as they may be able to direct you somewhere close to where you reside. The number on their fb site is 08036144880 and 08091305437 . I pray they are able to help. Well done for caring for this little girl.

Jazzy. It's safe.

Fruitfulhome, TB is not to be joked with. Please send her back and be sure to monitor that she's taking treatment, when she's better you can bring her back.
TB is so infectious that there's a separate lab for sample collection in hospitals and you need to see how they kit up to test the sample sef cos it is highly infectious and doesn't respond to treatment easily.
Re: NEW BORN BABIES! Are U A New Mum? Then Lets Discuss Babies Here!!!!! by hunniesuzie: 11:21pm On Aug 25, 2017
Fruitfulhome even in private Labs mantoux test for TB is about 2k. Everytime I've tried to do it in PHC they will tell you they don't have the kit but General Hospitals should be able to do it
Please do not delay, yes your baby has taken BCG but exposure (even for you) is risky and treatment is a very long process

Take him to a doctor may be an eye specialist. If he has never shed a tear; he may have something wrong with his tear ducts. Have you noticed any eye dryess or any other discomforts with this eye? If you do keep note and mention to your doctor.

He may also just be ok and normal.

FruitfulHome,

Please take her back, coughing blood is never a a good thing - it could be tb or any other lung infection, and many of them quite contagious.

The basic test you can do is a chest x-ray. This should show if the issue is only with her lungs..... if she is also vomitting bloods there could be other issues or it just shows the seriousness of her illness.

Sad to say a lot of naija people will knowingly allow you take a seriously sick person and not give you any warning of the seriousness of the illness all in a bid to transfer responsibility.

Should the person get worse or even die, the story we be that their child died in your care.... so please be very careful.

You can assist remotely.

Lol @ skoin skoin

If she's given you the go ahead, then trust her.

Another option (which is really hard) is to stop breastfeeding till you are done with the drugs.

What's the core ingredient of the tabs? Google it and see if it's safe to use in pregnancy.

Ok. Its not free here o. While i have been trying to reach Abiagirl777. She mentioned a subsidized hopsital. Im thinking if after discovering the illness, atleast i should be able to buy her some drugs eventhough she had to go, let her go with the drugs. Thank you so much. I will contact them. God bless

Thank you mamas. I neva envisaged problem like this. See me see wahala. What its the essence wen she can't even help me to carry baby while I do house chores bc I now carry baby myself. If you ask her to run and get something, that is how she will be breathing like she is struggling.

My dear Alphahandmaiden, I tire for her people. Na so dem carry empty bag bring her. I had to start buy buy what she will wear on top buying drugs. They couldn't even open up to me about her illness. I was just busy treating typhoid and malaria (because when I did test, she had high malaria) and cough, if not that she coughed out blood. See as antibiotics for kids they cost. When i called them, they said as at when she came, they thought she was ok and they also said her grandmother from her dad gave her poison. From all what you all said, I will use this week to run around and see that those test are done. If it happens to b TB or any contagious illness, I'm sending her back by the weekend. God knows I have tried.

Meanwhile which test should i start with...this govt hospital gave me mautox test, chest xray, WBC/ESR test and sputum test to do. They don't conduct all the test in their hospital

Sorry ma it is the same, the companies took over it the health centre.but from what I'm reading here, you need to take her to BMC or UPTH cos you aren't in their health insurance scheme yet.

Coconut oil is the perfect way to treat nappy rash naturally.

There’s no risk of it making the rash worse, because it’s not full of chemicals like some store bought nappy rash creams.

All you need to do is apply coconut oil to the affected area. The thick oil acts as a barrier and prevents any further irritation, and the coconut oil will nourish and treat the irritated skin.

Coconut oil has antimicrobial, anti-viral, anti-bacterial and antifungal properties which help the skin to heal. It contains lauric acid (also found in breast milk) which acts on bacterial and fungal infections.

Symmetric brand of VIRGIN COCONUT OIL from Ghana is now in stock

Price:
1 litre= #3,500

To Buy:
Call/WhatsApp:

Offer valid while stock last!

Go to mall for Africa grocery direct (Google it) and register, select the item (Asda little Angel diaper) in whatever size you want. You can't buy more than 3 at once (I guess to discourage abuse by resellers). I also bought wipes same brand
They also sell other stuff so enjoy your shopping
Select your delivery option (they have delivery locations all around Lagos), pay with your card and wait

Note that the app didn't open it well for me so you may have to use a PC

From when I paid to delivery was 2 weeks, they'll notify you by email once it ships and when it delivers. There is no charge for delivery

I have used Medela Manual pump and I say it's the best! I did my research before I bought a manual pump and Medela came out tops. I tried tommee tippee and lasinoh double pumps(electric) and I could be there for 1 hour waiting for a 150ml bottle to get filled up.
In comes my Medela, and I have a full bottle in 3 mins.
Everyone I recommended it too had the same experience.

See that app is mad buggy. You can't use the regular MFA (to shop on UK/US stores) on PC without a chrome extension which will still mess with your computer. But grocery direct doesn't work on the app and you don't need the chrome extension for that one undecided

If not that the diapers and stuff are affordable and I have ijebu blood, the app annoys me pieces
