You are very prompt in answering questions. U are good. cheers

dahonestboss:

I don't think transfer/exchange is available to Post graduate, Msc or PhD students to other countries, never heard of it before but I stand to be corrected.

But if there is any, you will need to apply as a fresh student coming to the country, and if you are already in the country with other immigration status and wish to extend or convert, its a matter of backing your application with relevant documents to support it.

My own na insurance wahala o. I bought mutual benefit insurance for 1 year. I have gone to complain to mutaul benefit, them all dey act confused. Like just write me a letter saying the insurance has no restriction... THEM DEY TELL ME SAY MAKE I BUY additional 1.5 years join am because my studies na for 2.5years. will buying a whole 2.5years insurance fix this?

see what Finnish immigration send me:
Insurance
7. Please supplement your application by sending us a new insurance certificate
OR an official letter from your insurance company guaranteeing that your insurace
does not have a restriction in the number of travel days within the period of validity
of your insurance.
The certificate of insurance must include the following:
- your personal details
- period of validity of the insurance
- area of validity of the insurance
- insurance coverage and benefit sums
- information about the deductible
Because the duration of your studies in Finland is at least two years, your
insurance must cover pharmaceutical expenses up to 30,000 euros. The
deductible on a student’s insurance can be 300 euros at most.
We need a new insurance certificate because your current insurance is most
probably valid only for 90/92 days per trip during the period of validity of
your insurance. Your insurance must cover you during your entire stay. Multi
Trip -type insurances ("Type of Entry - Multiple, in your insurance certificate)
usually always have a restriction in the number of travel days per trip.
For more information about the required insurance, please refer to our website
migri.fi.

Please send the documents to the Finnish Immigration Service within two weeks
from the date of this letter. Send the requested documents from your Enter Finland
account. The Finnish Immigration Service will make a decision on your application
even if you do not send the documents within the given time limit. The absence of
documents may be to your disadvantage when your application is decided.

A friend applied for a vocational course at the Helsinki business college...and was placed on waiting list. She was however sent an acceptance letter on the 18th of July after which she gathered documents and applied on the 24th of July and got interview date on the 8th of August. She attended the interview successfully. The official resumption date for the program was 11th August which she couldn't meet up with based on when she got her own admission so she wrote the school informing them of the situation. The school is however saying if she does not resume on the 1st of September her study place will be revoked.
Based on migri processing times a decision will be made on the 8th. The personnel spoken to at the university isn't even considering the time line and processing times of migri...she just insisted that she has to resume on the first or loose her study place.
ADVISE GURUS IN THE HOUSE...thanks in advance
pls go on and apply for your permit. you will be granted and. can travel to Finland. She can apply apply again next for admission then use that. admission letter for permit extension or renewal.

Is the same thing or does it mean that they didn't see the multi entry there. May be you should try and send mutual benefit a mail stating the obvious and asked them to reply the mail as you intend to use it as an evidence you would submit to Finnish embassy. Health and travel insurance I know is always maximum of one year and can be renewed before the first one year elapsed. Where exactly did they see 90-92 days on the insurance? I think you need to point out how many days the insurance covers but also check those agreement statement at the back of the insurance cert to be sure there is nothing like that.

She can have someone pay her registration fee as an attending student to secure her study place coz after the decision is made it will take atleast 1 week for the card to reach 9ja, she go cm use another 1 week prepare. Best option register as an attending student.

Yes there r. Getting a professional job might require fluent Finnish. However it's a lot easier to get professional jobs in the IT sector. Menial jobs such as cleaning.. dishwashing and paper delivery are more common and fairly easier to get.

Only the schools can answer this question. However I've seen people with 2.1 get full to half scholarships. U would need to have strong IELTS, excellent motivation letter and super strong reference letters and the grace of God

yes lapland university of applied science offers scholarship for all international student as long as they have accept you as a student.the scholarship covers 80% of the tuition fee for the first year and 60% for subsiquent years if you where able to make 55 credit in ur academic, the tution fee is 8000 euro(3,000,000 naira), so for first year you are to pay 1600 euro (600,000) which is cheap compared to other institute.
